Love their seafood tostada and shrimp Diablo. Not sure if I am spelling it right but I can never get enough to these two items!

I was really craving good authentic Mexican food. After look around on Unilocal and came across this place. Based on the reviews, I decided to try it out. I am not sure what the fuss was about? it was average services and average food. It is a self service place like many fast food places. I have had better Mexican food before. There is no trash can like other fast food where you can clean after you self and put your trays away. Dirty table where sitting there for 10 to 15 minutes before it got cleaned up.

Words can not describe the yummy food that is served at Tepe’s … Awesome employees who are also great friends and know their customers!

I’ve been here several times. The food is always really good and tastes fresh. But every time I come here, the wait seems to get longer and longer. The prices a little more than a taco truck, and the proportions are smaller. It has a nice lobby that they keep pretty clean, a salsa bar with a large variety, and friendly staff.

Great Mexican food! The service is alway awesome here and the employees are very friendly. I’ve tried so far their burrito(4.5÷5) and their tostado(4⁄5). Food here is great and you will be satisfied!

I tried this place for the first time, and got the regular burrito. So flavorful, and the meat was grilled to perfection with just the right amount k juice. Highly recommended spot. Oh, and their chips are fresh and delicious. Prices aren’t bad, either, with nice employees.

I was training up at UOP for USA water polo And had the pleasure of trying this place out. The customer service was friendly even though they were swamped. Ok so the food. I got the super burrito wet, it was the right choice. The meat was ok, but the rest of the burrito far outshines the meat carne adada. Overall I would recommend this place if visiting Stockton area!

Everything is amazing all the time, every time I go there! It’s is one of the best and the only authentic Mexican restaurants up north here in Stockton. Their soft tacos are some of my favorite, a must try!

VEGETARIANREVIEW: First off, the lady at the counter was SONICE and friendly and knew the menu well. The tables were clean, there were plenty of tables available(but I got mine for take-out). 1 star for customer service, 1 star for cleanliness. Anyways, the beans are vegetarian and so I ordered a lunch special– 2 enchiladas plate. The food was warm, it looked good. Rice and beans portions looked smaller than other side places but it was plenty for my 5 foot self. Food was FLAVORLESS! No Mexican spices, no salt, it just tasted like«beans and oil», «rice and oil», «tomatoes and oil». Really disappointed. 0 stars for food. I wouldn’t recommend BUT I will give them another shot and when I do, I’ll update my review.

Stopped here with a friend to have their beef soup. It was awesome, great broth, tender beef, veggies. We came in a few minutes before they closed but they didn’t kick us out. 5 stars for great good and great service. And they didn’t try to cook it fast, they took their time and did it right. Yum! Great food experience today!

I usually visit a restaurant or business at least 2x to form an opinion overall of the food and business. I’ve ordered the same thing twice(lengua tacos, rice beans chips, salsa and a beverage. Pros: –Restaurant is large enough to accommodate even a busy lunch crowd. Plenty of tables! –Salsa bar is fresh and has good variety. Didn’t have salsa Verde(best salsa IMO) both visits? Staff friendly –Menu is extensive. Start looking as soon as you get in line –lengua(beef tongue) was very tender –Good air conditioning Cons: — God awful tortilla chips. Pale, greasy, cold, and flavorless. They give you a free basket with any order. Adelbertos(on Hammer lane) has 10x better chips, which is disappointing because this is a sit down joint with a free salsa bar. Turn off. –Refried beans lacked flavor and spice. pale, under seasoned, not warm. –Lengua was tender but not warm, like they nuked it in the microwave for 30 seconds and not on their grill/skillet. Having lived in LA and Orange County for all my life, I’ve definitely taken for granted how legit and affordable genuine Mexican food was. Makes me miss LA. 3/5, but 2.5 if I could half star it.

Popped in for a quick lunch. They have a large menu and prices were reasonable. I opted for the super nachos– with carne asada. It came with a good amount of meat, spicy pico, sour cream, and a solid guacamole. I was a bit under-impressed by the salsa in the salsa bar but the nachos didn’t need them. The asada was delish and I enjoyed the guac too. For some reason I got chips alongside my nachos which was overkill. I think there was Monterrey jack on the nachos but not a ton which I preferred anyhow. The chips were yummy and fresh but got soggy on my nachos quickly. That’s probably the only complaint. My meal was 8 and change for the super nachos and they were pretty big. There was plenty of seating and it only took 5 minutes for my meal. I’ll be back. Delta and Univ of Pacific students get 10% discount on one item but they have to show their id. They take credit cards. The next time I ordered the torta and holy cow it was awesome! Super flavorful, even the torta bun tasted great though it was a bit tough in places. At $ 7 it was a large sandwich and so yummy!

Initial impact was made by the family style atmosphere. A fairly large place for a taqueria, with happy upbeat Mexican music playing in the background and murals painted all over the wall. Salsa bar with a wide variety of very yummy salsas and chips provided. We ordered the street style carnitas tacos and the super nachos. Food all very fresh and the workers were very sweet. Overall good experience! Only thing I would note that could use improvement would be the greasiness of the food, but other than that, good!

Tried the carnitas tacos with beans and rice. The dish came with tortilla chips. The tacos were OK. The meat was kind of bland and had a tad bit too much lime for my liking. The beans were delicious. Tortilla chips were kinda hard and tasted a bit sour(assuming older oil was used to fry them). The rice had an odd after taste. The salsa from the salsa bar was a bit«watered down». Also had the horchata which was OK. Sort of grainy due to the powder. Prices were about average. I’d visit again but wouldn’t really go out of the way. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by other Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area.

I am finding myself in Stockton for work more frequently these days, and Tepa Taquera is my first stop once in town. Nope, not the hotel, not the office. TEPA! This is some AMAZING grub! It is a hole in the wall, but not to be skipped. At their busier hours(typical lunch and dinner times) the line can be at the door but that wouldn’t stop me from waiting. Tepa has a HUGE menu — almost too big but I stick with the things I know I love, tacos and enchiladas. The tacos are common street tacos, meat, cilantro, onion and salsa. It doesn’t take much, but wow is this a great taco. There is so much meat loaded into each taco that you could make a whole new taco with everything that falls out as you take a bite. I order carne asada(priced a bit more) and they are GREAT! The enchiladas are also fantastic. The sauce is full of flavor, not from a can. Tepa also has a nice and clean salsa bar with loads of stuff. For whatever reason I am not a huge fan of their complimentary chips(good — less carbs LOL!) Obviously — I will be back!

Ordered two carne asada enchiladas. They were small, perfect for my appetite. Beans and rice on the side. Enjoyed the non greasy, non salty, very fresh tasting food. My coworker loved her meal here as well.

I order al pastor tacos and chile relleno. The tacos were so good but the chile relleno just needed more flavor. It tasted like it didn’t have any salt. But other than that, I tried horchata for the first time and it was very good. My fiancé had the carne Asada fries, very tasty!

Great place. Got take out and checked the place out while I was waiting. Place was very clean with staff actively cleaning up. Saw staff being very friendly and helpful to some disabled folks. Didn’t need to wait long for my food despite the place being a bit busy. I got vegetarian nachos, a side of rice, and a shrimp burrito. The nachos were not greasy or soggy at all. They didn’t skimp on anything. The burrito was great — big juicy prawns and plenty of them! I kept expecting to only find a few in the middle but there was plenty from first to last bite. Very pleased, would come back again
