Being an old married couple, my wife and I often go out to eat together once a week, and then I accompany her as she shops, trying hard to not die from boredom. Yesterday, we shopped at Old Navy, where she hoped to use a $ 30 coupon, only to find that the system said she had used it before. How could she have used it before? The document has to be surrendered at the point of service… Anyway, she had another one and had to pay less than $ 10 for a couple of skimpy-looking pieces that were probably made in Thailand for $ 3 total. Bottom line: she informed me that she could have purchased gently-used tops in a thrift store for about the same amount. She proclaimed that she will never shop there again, and I have to agree with her. Personally, as I browsed the store, I was unimpressed with the merchandise and selection, as well as the overall store appearance, especially the raw concrete flooring. Look for Old Navy to be the next victim of the general trend away from malls and specialty clothing stores…

I always forget about this store for some reason. Could it be that it lives at the mall? Well, I’ve been looking for some cords for my fall everyday wardrobe. They had them, in just about all colors and in the sweetheart cut, and $ 10 bucks off the regular price. Also found some coordinating schlumpy(for lack of a better word) sweaters oh and don’t forget Old Navy socks, leggings and tights, they’ve got em’ and in just about any color or texture you need. If you’re in the market for a pea coat you’ll find many choices; trench style, wool blend, traditional length, longer length, plaid, solid; let your mood be your guide. Did someone say flannel shirts? With tabs to shorten and fashionably roll up your sleeves and in 100% cotton! Old Navy is a fun store where you can get traditional, hipster and trendy fashions for not a lot of money.
