Motel 6

Ooooof! Desperate times call for desperate measures and I’m sure that’s the only reason why this business is still operating. Just nasty. We were faced with driving home in slick conditions or sleep here. It is exactly what you’d think a motel 6 would be, don’t get me wrong, I had high hopes because I’ve stayed at them and grew up staying at them, but this is in a college town which drops the bar significantly. The pillows had stains on them. GROSSSSSSSSS! The shower still had the previous people’s used soap on top of the shower. Years and years of use were never wiped clean with a deep cleaning. There are no lights, that I saw, on the outside to light your way in the dark or for just plain safety. Given the option again, I would stay here, but I’d be prepared with a hazmat suit.

You know that smell clothes get when you accidentally leave them sitting in the washer for a day or two? Well, take those musty smelling clothes, urinate on them and then roll them in an ashtray and that is what this motel room smells like. Btw, my room is listed as non-​smoking. But at 59 bucks on a Sunday night I really shouldn’t be complaining.
