Never miss grabbing some delightful scoops of ice cream from Leo’s, they are as tasty and creamy as it can get!

You absolutely must eat here. The burgers are perfection, and the Rachel is divine. Our family diverted off I-94 on our way home from Wisconsin just to eat dinner here. Two and a half years ago our server, Jess, introduced me to a life-changing milk shake — coffee, cookies and cream. I have this every time I’m here. Amazing.

Their malts were awesome. The food was great. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The prices were reasonable for stillwater. Cant ask for more.

we’re hoping it was not a normal occurrence, but 15 minutes of waiting for two ice cream cones?! seriously! it wasn’t that busy inside. lost track of how the ice cream tasted but regardless it’s ice cream and a cone not hand made gourmet meal! pick up the pace or less screwing around in the kitchen!

Food and service were fantastic. I had a burger, fries and a malt. Outstanding! My wife got a salad and raved about how good that was too. The owner even stopped by to make sure everything was perfect(which it was). I was compelled to write a review because I felt like it was a trip back in time when quality food and service mattered.

I got a strawberry ice cream milkshake. It was delicious! They have an outdoor window on the street which makes it very easily accessible to just walk up and order a nice delicious treat. Would definitely try this place again!(My friend got the banana split– it was huge and looked amazing)

Nice little walk up ice cream place near the river. Service was S-L-O-W and L-O-N-G on a busy day which was a bummer since the line is directly in the sun with no shade. Otherwise the ice cream is good and the value is good too.

The food is always served hot and delicious! The wait staff always greets you with a smile, and is quick to respond to your needs. My husband and I really enjoy the pleasant, «down home» atmosphere at Leos! We have made this a frequent stop.

Gross, frozen/processed, deep fried food. The chilli is salty and tastes like it’s from a can. Also, in one bill several unexplained upcharges. Too expensive for the poor quality. Malts are good though…

I really like Leo’s. The hot food is okay, classic 50s style diner food. But the the real reason to go is the malts, the sundaes, the shakes, and the ice cream cones – yum!!! And if you don’t feel like sitting inside, they have an outside service window. I really like the décor inside. I talked to the owner and he said that every single sign and advertisement are real antiques – no reproductions in this place! As a collector, I think this is super cool! I also want to mention how professional these guys are. The weather was super nice yesterday so it was a complete zoo inside the malt shop and just inside the doorway. I saw one particular guy working his ass off, making sure everyone was greeted, seated, and happy. It turns out that this was the owner, Corey. He’s a super nice guy. And it was really cool to see him up front, hands on, keeping his customers happy. Finally, I had several locals tell me that Dairy Queen used to be across the street and the general consensus seems to be that the were total jerks for moving in right across the street from Leo’s. Our friend, a local, was glad that Dairy Queen finally closed after trying to put Leo’s out of business. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Stillwater! –Daddy Maxx Retro

This place is right on the main drag of Stillwater. It’s always busy and there is a reason. Food is solid. Throw back 1950 style diner. Be sure to try the ice cream!

Leo’s is a great small town classic that is a must for tourists and residents alike. Nothing like a good burger, fries and malt. Their location does have limited outdoor seating, but in the summer their patio is great!

This is a solid burger joint. Kid friendly burgers, waffle fries, shakes etc. It’s not amazing food, but it’s fine. It’s kid friendly. The kid mac n cheese is kraft. Service is passable, friendly albeit abrupt. But really, what do you expect. This is not fine dining. We had the waffle fries with chili and cheese. Fine. Nothing remarkable. Even the chili is kid friendly. See a pattern here? This place is fine. You’re not going to rave about your meal to your friends, but you’ll happily chug down your benign strawberry shake and burger. I hated the sweet potato tots. I think sugar is added. Even my 5 year old passed on them. My one year old however, gobbled them up. So there you have it. Fine. The beige of restaurants.

No waiting line for a Sunday night… I’m surprised! Burger is old fashioned and tastes good! I would recommend waffle fries and onion rings. Besides, shake is a MUST order! You can do a split to 2 glass. It’s decent size and you only pay about $ 6. Service is good too.

Leos’ was a solid little — and I mean little — place to grab a decent burger in downtown Stillwater. You won’t find parking next to it, or relatively near it, so expect to walk. Our experience was odd. We get in, sit at the only table, which happened to be dirty. We have someone swing by a few minutes later to clean the table and drop off a dessert menu. Ok cool. The waitress swings by 10 minutes later to take our order, but never delivered tools or the menu. Talk about strange. So after getting those things, we order up our desserts first, and then food. I got a muddy banana simply because I wanted to say muddy banana. I know, very mature. Friend of ours got the entirely wrong shake. He still ate it because we had waited long enough and were all famished. Mine was a vanilla with oreo pieces and banana slices for those wondering. It was pretty damn good. Burgers come out. I got one with bacon, cheese and brisket on it with sweet tater tots. The burger was decent. Nothing special and nothing bad. A solid burger. Tots lacked any real flavor, which greatly disappointed me. However, not once were we checked on or did we have our empty shake glasses cleared. Service, in a place with maybe a dozen tables and 3 servers/staff members shouldn’t have had service that bad. All in all, an a-ok place(3 stars) that drops to two thanks to the service.

A few of us all had(junior sized) sundaes, which was about the right amount for an afternoon snack. The ice cream menu had a variety of usual(and some unusual) ice cream selections. I did enjoy my banana, fudge, and Oreo sundae. None of us had a meal, but it looked & smelled tempting. At least one of us may go back to get a meal here. I like the retro atmosphere here, which goes well with the antique-oriented stores in town. My general sense is that the restaurant is a bit small and given its downtown location, it is very possible that you’ll have to wait in line or at least feel a bit cramped. Also, there’s only one restroom, so this may be another line for which you’ll wait.

We stopped in Stillwater for an afternoon after moving my sister into her dorm room. We stopped at Leo’s for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. They have classic american foods(blts, chicken tenders, burgers, sandwiches, etc) and the prices were great for a touristy area. We loved the décor of the resturant. We will defintely be back! Thank you!

Fun, kind of greasy, 50’s style diner. Dropped by here on a hot day(great choice). We had milkshakes and I had a turkey melt while my husband had a burger. Our sandwiches were tasty(and greasy as expected) and the fries were nice and thick without a lot of seasoning. The milkshakes were a good nice and you get the extra tin with the excess ice cream. Unless you’re super hungry, I’d suggest sharing one of these. $ 33 total, so a pretty cheap date. Service was quick as well and I’ve always enjoyed the feel of a cutesy 50’s style diner.
