Wow. I’ve been coming here for years and will even drive 45 minutes to get here after moving away. I don’t know what happened but it’s awful now. The last two times I’ve had the General Tso chicken it’s been near inedible– the chicken under the breeding is dried out, like it’s been sitting around awhile. So disappointing. From the reviews it seems others feel the same. Hopefully they get their act together again. As of now, I won’t be driving 45 minutes again.

We had a bigger order last night for pickup and I was disappointed… No flavor no veggies just some fried up chunks in a gelatin flavorless sauce. We ordered beef broccoli tasteless brown mush with a few overcooked broccoli junks, then almond chicken the chicken was tuff and the batter not crispy the gravy oh lord like brown jello. We also had general Tao chicken witch had to much batter on, so it sucked up all the sauce was super dry and no veggies at all… The wonton soup was a container with 3 wonton(for 3 people) that made one wonton for each, really ?! I am a regular for 4 years now and since the last year it has changed so much! I expect better quality, better cooking for that price… It’s not cheap!

This was my second visit to Dong Sing. The staff is friendly, and the food is adequate. I wouldn’t say they reign superior, but the satisfy a craving. Their egg rolls are pretty darn good.

Great typical Chinese food! Place is very clean, and orders always correct. The only issue is they aren’t always open hours posted and don’t always answer the phone… Other than that, great place!

The BEST Chinese food I have ever had in the states, hands down. I frequent New York City, and I live i Florida. I’ve never come across anything as good. Most places seem to have the same food supplier, and it all taste the exact same. Dong Sing doesn’t swing that way, their recipes seem original to their restaurant. Sweet and sour shrimp with shrimp fried rice is to die for! Can’t wait to be back in Michigan so I can get takeout from this place again.

I chose one star ONLY because Unilocal forced me to. But I take it back! I moved to this area recently, and this place was right around the corner, so after a busy day of unpacking, picked some up. I ordered General Tso’s chicken combo dinner with an egg roll. I have eaten at countless Chinese restaurants around SE Mich. throughout the course of my life, and this places, hand’s down, is the worst. HORRIBLE. The people who gave it stars must have non-functioning taste buds, I’m sorry. The egg roll was bland, and mostly cabbage. The sauce on the chicken was bright yellow? And it tasted like chicken bouillon cubes. I have no idea where chicken bouillon meets Chinese. The chicken seems as though it was pre-cooked, THEN dipped in batter and fried again. Every bite I took, the hard, tough chicken squirted out the other side and I was left with a mouthful of deep fried pancake batter. And it was so, SOOOOOOO salty, it was unbearable. I ate about ¼ and couldn’t stomach any more. If I had not been home alone with a toddler sleeping, I would have driven back up to ask for a refund. Just GROSS. Never again.

I don’t know. I used to like this place a lot before I started using Unilocal.I tried it again a couple months ago, it seemed a lot different compared to before.

I used to go here because it was the«best» Chinese take out I could find near my new house, this isn’t saying much compared to the garbage I got at other places. However, it satisfied my cravings for Chinese food until last night. I picked up my order of an Almond Chicken combination plate and a quart of Kung Bo Shrimp or so I thought. When I got home I opened up my foot to find a combination plate of Kung Bo Shrimp and a combination plate of Egg Foo Young which I absolutely HATE. Their hours are listed as being open until 10 but I called FIVETIMES between 9 and 10 and there was no answer so I didn’t make the drive back thinking they might be closed. I called today and the owner is just rude. She tried to say that I ordered a #1 and not a #4. The problem with this explanation is that I didn’t have a menu in front of me when I ordered so I didn’t use a number, I said ALMONDCHICKENCOMBO. I have no idea what number it is. She was so rude and finally asked if I wanted my money back. Well, yes, I do. But I don’t have the time today to go back, this was supposed to be a quick dinner but I have relatives in for the holiday and can’t deal with this until after the holiday. She said she’d write my name down but she tried to blame me for their fuck up. My quest for a decent Chinese place is still on. ALSO, they use way too much corn starch in all their sauces and soups so everything is gelatinous once it cools off. You don’t even need to refrigerate it for it to reach a solid state. The soup is inedible so I never get it, it’s pretty disgusting. The sauces didn’t used to be this bad but lately it’s horrible.

The beef and broccoli was delicious, but the chicken fried rice was eh. They gave me a time of thirty minutes for my food and I got there and had to wait for another half hour before my food was done. I realize I had a big order, but if you need an hour, just tell me that, don’t give me the idea it will be done earlier because it will only lower my perception. Some food is really good and others just don’t have enough flavor, it just depends on what you’re getting.

Just moved to the area and had to try it out, was not impressed and will drive the extra 10 miles to my favorite Chinese restaurant.

Not a huge fan of Asian food however on a chilly rainy night like tonight, some wonton soup sounded great! I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the wonton soup, some ham fried rice, crab rangoon and an egg roll-all were great minus the crab rangoon. I wasn’t used to the vegetable mix(peas and corn) so it was a little off putting for me. My husband ordered the kung bo shrimp which was nicely flavored with just the right amount of spice. I’ll definitely go back when my rare mood for Asian food sets in!

Their food is great. Fried rice is better than other places and the wonton soup is great too. We go here so much!

Well since PINGS is closed on Mondays, this was my plan B. First of all very pricey, considering most other Chinese restaurants in the area charge $ 6– $ 7.50 for the same/similar items I ordered egg foo younge combo $ 9.50 although the patties were large & tasty, they combined the sauce & it was soggy vs. putting the brown sauce in a separate container The bride ordered chicken low mien$ 9.75 it was heavy on noodles, light on chicken and affected/effected the wife’s stomach for 2 – 3 days. as she was afraid to leave the house/bathroom (if you know what I mean)

I am giving it 1 star because of my pepper steak. I got 2 dinners which were just over $ 9 bucks each pepper steak decent. Too large of veggies that was hard to eat with their flimsy plastic fork. I had to eat it at work for lunch. No napkins. I got my husband the general tsos chicken medium spice. He said it was horrid. This was his review«General Tso’s chicken: deep fried chicken chunks with saline pepper flake sauce thickened with corn starch.» Chicken fried rice and egg rolls kinda sucked that came with out dinner. I also ordered chicken low mein which my fault i thought it would be like ordering fried rice. I love the vegetable low mein I thought they added chicken to it. However the noodles were like ramen noodles. Clunked together with chicken and chicken like gravy with some pea pods, water chestnuts, bean sprouts and looks to be something else in there but cant tell. i tried it and it was like eating a jar of chicken gravy coated chicken. personal taste i just enjoy the larger spaghetti type noodles. So needless to say over $ 27 bucks of food only pepper steak ate. The rest you can find in the garbage.

I came here for carry-out tonight because my old Chinese restaurant changed ownership. I don’t think that I’m coming back until this one does, too(or at least changes cooks and /or menus). My moo shu vegetables were awash in sauce(I stopped eating a third of the way through).. My vegetable spring roll seemed to be 90% wrapper. My wife’s vegetable lo mein(she felt sorry for me and gave me some) was a gloppy mess of overcooked noodles and vegetables. Her egg roll was crispy and had some nice bean sprouts but was still largely crust. I did like the almond cookies but I’m looking for a Chinese restaurant where that is not the hallmark. I’m trying elsewhere.

Fresh is the first word I would use to describe this take out restaurant. They gave a good grasp on spicy levels. Their fried rice had little to no taste. It’s okay with some soy sauce. I’ll be back.

Might have found my new Chinese carry out place for my new house. Large tasty portions. Ordered two dinners for $ 20 turned into Friday dinner and Saturday lunch with plenty of food for two. Will order it spicy next time. Friendly service. I will be back

Great food, good value, very fast. The fried rice is very good but could use a bit more vegetables. GREAT Carry out option. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time of day.

Best Wonton Soup Ever! We’ve been to many Chinese places and never had better. The perfect peppery broth with fresh made dumplings!
