Just got into town and picked up our ski passes and then the«hunger» hit… Asked a person that works at the slopes where they go for lunch and they directed us here. My three criteria as always, service, atmosphere and of course the food… Atmosphere, cool little place with a couple of bars and small dining area — not a great view from the table area we were at of the slopes but it was cozy. There were a lot of little decorations on the walls that made it neat to look around. Service — our server Lindsey was very attentive and did a great job, no complaints at all. Food — I had the adult grilled cheese sandwich and fries both were very good, and a cup of the tortilla soup — flavor was good but the meat a little chewy, I might pass on this. The kids had mac-n-cheese and the grilled cheese sandwich — both really liked them. My wife had the chicken sandwich which she really liked as well — good spot to stop and I would definitely eat here again.

Gondola pub is my favorite spot in the village. Stop here everyday for a bloody and breakfast sandwich. The prep cooks must be the best in town with perfectly chopped veggies. Our server Montana is a gent and local Amputator Ipa saves my day.

Great location, great hours, great drinks, great service, TERRIBLEFOOD. Sorry, but just no flavor. I would have rather eaten dog food. But I guess that’s an unfair comparison cause I kinda like dog food.

I was meandering around Steamboat Resort and I caught a whiff of something delicious. Like a brunch bloodhound I was on the trail and it led me to the upper entrance of the Gondola Pub and Grill. Yes, you read that correctly, the upper entrance. This place is huge! There were three different levels to this restaurant. Yet arranged in such a way that it still feels warm, cozy, and inviting. The walls are covered in history for the Pub and also Steamboat. Which is such a great touch for a place like this. I decided on a beyond delicious breakfast burrito. The price was a little steep… But after my first couple bites, that was the last thing I cared about! I would be back for brunch sooner if it wasn’t a nearly 3 hour drive for me to get there. Boo to living on the Eastern Plains, but it makes finding great places like this all the sweeter! What really sealed the«five-star» deal for me was the super friendly hostess! I asked to just grab a seat and browse the menu for my brunch meal. She brought me water. We chatted about Steamboat, skiing, different runs, ice skating, how sad it made us that there wasn’t an outdoor skating rink in Steamboat(hint hint, you locals you!), Unilocal, etc… She was just a genuinely nice person and you couldn’t pick a better first impression for your business! High five girl! On my next Steamboat adventure this place is on the top of my list for HH, brunch, or whatever!

It’s perfect for what it is, a small bar with 2 bars inside and a seating area. Food is reasonably prices for being at the mountain. Great spot for a nice breakfast break after a few runs, or for the post ski drink. They have a selection of iced shots, although in dec 2015 they no longer have the iced strawberry moonshine I had in ’13& ’14 but that’s only a minor issue. Nice view from the upstairs bar at night to watch night skiing and grooming. Grilled cheese is top notch, and the chorizo is nice and spicy for in an omelette. The hot chocolate is nice and strong too.

Solid pub, but the location really makes this place shine! We do love this bar/grill/ski pub, it is a great place for a meal &/or a beer. The food is good, the drinks are cheap, the location is great, and the atmosphere is fun. It does get crowded, but no more so than any other base-of-the-mountain bar. A great place to stop for lunch &/or drinks while skiing in Steamboat! The staff is very loyal and they will take care of you whether you’re a local or a «tour-on» from out of state … All in all the atmosphere is always friendly and it is a fun place filled with skiing paraphernalia and even an antique gondola … So, as mentioned, a good selection of beer, great chips, salsa/guacamole, the best fish and chips I have had in Steamboat and the Baked Potato Soup is very good too … oh and the Bacon Bloody Mary’s are fantastic! HH is from 3 – 6 every day, and you can get some pretty good deals on adult beverages and apps. Fireplace outside, is a great apres ski place to sit outside enjoying good conversation and a warm fire pit! FYI, Apres Ski can get a bit crazy here ;) and if it is a powder day then GP&G has a powder day special, cheap bloody-mary’s!

This place reminds me of a TGI Fridays: same feel, same type of food. I got the fish & chips. Both the fries and fish were pretty standard. Being a tourist trap, it’s overpriced.

Meh. Bloody Mary was freakin awesome but the food(we had breakfast) was not good. Skip it and go to Paramount instead.

Pretty good food, but a little overpriced. The reason I’m giving this two stars is because of a really strange rule they have. I went in for lunch by myself and was sat at a 6-person booth. 10 minutes into me being there, someone else from my party showed up and wanted to order at my table. Apparently if someone joins your table they cannot order food unless they go and«wait in line for another table». The reason for this is to prevent large groups from reserving a table and constantly cycling out people from the slopes and therefore bypassing the waiting list. However, having my dad join me for lunch while I was there was not exactly a large group trying to table-squat. So my dad just sat there with me and couldn’t order. They made less money and pissed off their customers, seems like a win-win to me!(sarcastic tone)

Close to the gondola, as the name says. Food was Ok, nothing pericualry special in what we had. The service was very good. Stairs are kind of a bummer in ski boots. I am not sure why they would design a venue with two sets of stairs when many people are in ski boots, geared up for the slopes? The food and service were good. We had a lunch and breakfast in here. I had a chicken sandwich for lunch, and it was pretty good. The bun was the weakest link, and a bit thin on the bottom for all the fixings pilled on. The fries were kind of unremarkable. But it was hot, served fast and welcome after a day on the slopes. My son had a Cesar salad, and he was pretty satisfied. The chicken on it a little overdone. But still solid. Our waitress for this meal, and breakfast were both great. They treated us very well and got us back on the slopes. The breakfast was good. The one thing I did not like about the menu was that either you ordered a fancy/better egg-mcmuffin for about $ 6 or you had a full on plate of food for about $ 12. They need more choices. Maybe I could have mixed and matched? The location is good, but as i said, too many stairs.

Fast service. Food taste good because I’m hungry and I would take anything right now. Margaritas are horrible & expensive not included in Happy Hour. The beer list for Happy Hour looks decent enough though. The chips and mango salsa are really tasty. It’s a hit & miss type of restaurant.

Stopped in with a family of four for lunch. My wife had the beet salad and complained about stomach pains the rest of the afternoon. I had the Caesar chicken wrap with lays potato chips. The chips were fantastic. I am still chewing on the chicken jerky they covered with Caesar dressing. The chicken did have good flavor. The kids enjoyed their blt and chicken strips. The service was good and the waitress cheerful. However, only my wife received silverware and only because she asked… she needed one for her salad, kinda high maintenance I know. Anyway, great location, lays chips are fantastic, avoid the beet salad, byof(bring your own fork), and all will be fine at the bottom of the hill.

Good food, a little over priced. Don’t go during the awkward breakfast lunch time because the servers are confused. We were told at 10:50 we could not order lunch until all the breakfast orders were put into the computer — whatever that means, so we settled for breakfast. Ordered a second round of drinks and the server laughed? Not sure what was so funny about ordering more drinks on a Tuesday afternoon — we were on vacation. Asked for hot sauce and was told they were all out on tables. Asked the table next to me if they were finished and they happily handed it over. Left the lady 3 bucks on a $ 60 tab — she deserved it!

Quick service and happy hour when your done skiing… who could ask for more? We just had beers and they were all the normal kind, you know like Coors Light and Blue Moon… Fireplace outside, we grabbed our beers and sat outside enjoying good conversation with others while sitting by the warm fire! 4 beers & $ 18 was the check :)

Cheap booze right on the mountain. This is a nice place to hit right after a day on the slopes. The happy hour specials start at 3pm and go until 6pm, and you can find coupons with additional discounts for GPG in the local Steamboat coupon books. Service? Some confusion about our drink order, but that was quickly rectified. They split our check across credit cards and cash for our oddly numbered group. Food? I didn’t have particularly high expectations for the food here, and those expectations were pretty much met. Cheese fries are less than spectacular. Booze? Yes please! Here’s a coupon!

If I could give no ratings I would. Talk about over priced for honestly the worst food. It’s comparable to that of a truck stop café. I got the Turkey Wrap it was $ 10.50. I hadn’t ate all day so I figured I’d pay the ridiculous price. That wasn’t the only problem however, there were MANY. I arrived right before a rush and no one was in there. I joined a party of friends who had been there prior. First off the waitress had not once approached to ask for my drink order, I had to flag her down after 20 mins. She forgot to bring me a menu and was reminded multiple times. She was extremely rude, not just to me but everyone in her section. Rolling her eyes, snapping back, purposefully ignoring people. I have never seen such repulsive service. S he was lazy at her job and rude. When I received my bill I saw she over charged my meal making even more ridiculously over priced. She didn’t deserve a tip and yet put her gratuity on the check. I was the only person on the check and who ordered a meal. My meal in total cost a staggering 16 bucks for a crummy turkey wrap and cold fries. I am extremely appaled and will never return and I live in town. Gor being a diner feel this place needs to seriously change their prices and not employ such lazy servers.

I came here twice while I was in Steamboat last week. Great location at the bottom of the gondola. Pluses — location, location, location. And live music after skiing!!! Cool Western vibe(typical Steamboat décor)! Food — Quesadilla was ok — nothing fancy, too much cheese(a phrase I have never before written in my life), I think the salsa was from a jar and the guacamole did not taste fresh. Negative — we had to wait FOREVER for our server to notice us. It was busy but not THAT busy. And it was a little annoying that the bartender didn’t hook me up with a beer or a shot on my birthday… just sayin’.

I know 5 stars is pushing it, and probably not totally accurate. But when I think of Steamboat, I think of the morning I was there with 26″ of fresh encapsulating the mountain. I don’t even know how to ski in that much snow! Black runs required no turning at all! Just hope to hell you make it back to a chair lift and don’t fall! So this is a review for a restaurant not the mountain you say? Well yes it is, but the snow part matters. Because it turns out GP&G has a powder day special! Cheap bloody-mary’s! It was the best bloody-mary I can ever remember having too. GAWD it was good. I asked for it extra spicy and I’m not exactly sure what they did but it was GOOD, and the angels sang. Also the food was pretty good too, I remember getting a grilled chicken sandwich that was really well made. Overall when I think of Steamboat, I think of GP&G! Well that and the crazy dumps of snow I had while I was there. Atmosphere was always friendly and I really give big bonus points there too.

Are you in town for a little skiing or bike riding? Are you hungry? Are you not willing to spend the minimum of $ 13 for a burger at the nearby Truffle Pig? So you’re saying, you’re cheap? Oh, frugal. Fine, whatever floats your boat. So the 4 of us were in town to ride the snow and we came in a day early. After my friends got their rentals in order, we shopped a little and found ourselves a little hungry. Unilocal suggested the Truffle Pig and we decided to go because of the name, until we saw the prices. Do you like fried foods? Do you like nachos? Do you like pickles? Who doesn’t?! You can get all of those and maybe all of them combined! Okay, not all, but fried pickle spears? Make it so. So it’s happy hour and we notice that it’s $ 1 off all appetizers. Appetizer dinner! Wait. You said you were cheap, right? I mean, wanted cheap. right. Do you like tortilla chips covered in chili, sour cream, cheese and God knows what?! Then you should try something they call«Pub nachos»(only available during happy hour [after 3pm]). If you like fried pickle chips, perhaps you should try fried pickle spears! They’re better because they retain their moisture. The onion rings are good, but they get cold quickly and lose their appeal. Cheese fries? Yeah, they’re okay. The Ribeye? Probably okay if they offered it. The service is okay, our waitress was on the ball that day, but the next day, the waitress would only bring things in the order they were asked. A refill, silverware and ketchup only came one per visit to our table. It took a while. You can sit outside next to the gas fire. We did considering it was 55 degrees and inside was a little cramped. They got lots to drink, alcoholic and non. It’s right in the middle of the base, so it’s easy to get to and a great place to meet up if your group likes to split up or your friends like to go rogue cause you’re too slow. Go big and before going home hit the Gondola Pub and Grill.
