Thoroughly disappointed seeing as this place comes highly recommended. The food was luke warm and absolutely nothing special for the prices especially. I have no problems paying high prices, as long as the quality matches the price. Only good part was the mojito. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

The Truffle Pig suffers heavily from the slope side markup. The food is decent mid tier quality but costs at least double what it should. I had the truffle burger, which was $ 25. For $ 25 a burger better knock my socks off slope side or not. It did not. The fries were obviously just some generic, previously frozen, run of the mill spud to top it of. If you want fine dining don’t go here. If you want to feel smug because you spent money in excess, consider it.

This place was real good. The fries were awesome! If I could give them 3.5 stars I probably would. It’s definitely better than 3 stars but 4 might be a stretch. I’d go there again in a pinch, but with all the other restaurants around here I’d probably try some others first.

Go there now! We stumbled upon the Truffle Pig because of the name; but returned for the awesome food, drink, and service. The staff was attentive, timely and really friendly(as is everyone in Steamboat we’ve encountered), the owner; Scott; was friendly and kind, and the food was amazing. Thank you Truffle Pig, for making our weekend so special(well, you and the snow…). Run don’t walk!

We went 2x on a one week trip to steamboat springs, we just couldn’t decide which meals to pick and the sea bass was so good the first day we wanted to try the risotto and butternut squash ravioli. The hummus was fabulous, and hummus is usually plain it just had a great flavor. The calamari was great. The sorbet and cookies for desert omg. But the best was the chocolate truffle martini, please can I have one more, oh but you should stop at 2, woo.

Eaten here twice this week. First night we had sea bass, hummus, fresh baked cookies. Today we had the calamari, ravioli and risotto… Everything was prepared perfect and the staff was really friendly.

The food was delicious, but the overall experience unfortunately missed the mark. We weren’t the easiest group, 1 vegan and two who can’t consume dairy. Initially our waitress seemed helpful, but it felt that she got a bit tired of trying to help us find things we could eat. One person ordered the soup which we were told was made with a vegetable stock. later we learned it was beef stock. Thankfully she informed us of the mistake, so not a big deal. The risotto was suppose to be dairy free, it arrived with big pieces of shaved Parmesan on top. We got bread & butter. We can’t eat butter, we asked for olive oil, we had to ask 3x over 15 minutes. Once the food arrived it was delicious, but part of the restaurant experience is the service. Everyone was nice, but they just didn’t seem to be able to get our orders right that day.

Truffle pig is amazing! The food is great. Classy place on the mountain if you are looking for something other than pub food. They have a great wine list with plenty of offerings by the glass and a FULLY stocked bar. We have been here three days in a row now! Dave is attentive to his customers and very pleasant and laid back. Kat is awesome! She gives great recommendations, handles a crowd well, and is very friendly! The owner/manager is available and attentive to customer needs. This is a classy laid back kind of place. Not necessarily the place to grab a quick bite and head back to the mountain. Rather come and relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Enjoy!

We came here looking for some late night food after skiing all day and then needing to nap for hours. Luckily they were one of the few restaurants on the slope still serving dinner at 8PM on a Sunday night. The hostess was able to seat us right away, and service was prompt and friendly. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe beef burger, which we had heard was the best burger in town. I can say that now we have tried it and it is indeed, one of the best burgers I’ve had. It was cooked to perfection and topped with a delicious bacon jam(bacon is great but with that added sweetness from the jam?! mmmmm!). The beef is ground up and mixed with truffle oil before being grilled up. TODIEFOR. Also the fries with parmesan and truffle oil were extremely tasty. I had the bolognese which was also delicious. The pappardelle noodles tasted like they were made that day and I liked the mixture of lamb and beef in the sauce. They also had a killer happy hour– $ 2 lagers! Shout out to Ryan for being an awesome waiter– so friendly and helpful, and great food suggestions!
