I would like to compliment a server that was working one night when we were at the sports bar. I believe her name was Lauren. It was pretty busy when we came in, and she had a full load of tables. One of them in particular was extremely rude to her and very demanding and we could overhear everything from where we were sitting. A guy ordered a margarita in a short glass, she accidentally brought a tall one, and immediately went to fix it. He then threw a fit because she poured his margarita into a smaller glass(seems like common sense to me). He demanded a fresh one be made and she immediately went to take care of it, apologizing for the delay. They continued to complain throughout(actually left an awful, untrue review here) and the server handled it as well as anyone would have. And continued to smile to them, and her other tables. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back, as for the other guests that she had to deal with, I feel sorry for any server that has to serve them.

My daughter took me for the buffet on Father’s day. Was skeptical because of high prices but the buffet was better than any buffet in the casinos. Price is comparable to any buffet but the nice setting and view of the lake is just outstanding. The buffet is small but it is total quality. It’s everything you would normally want to eat and it is fresh and clean. I will be back.

This spot was just what we needed for our half way drive around the lake. The views, food and service were great! The crispy chicken sandwich with Sriracha was good and not too spicy. The sweet potato fries, Mojito’s and ceviche were awesome! I can’t wait to go back!

Drove 4 hours from the Bay Area to enjoy dinner at Brooks tonight. Lauren P was our server, she came to our table about 10 minutes after we were seated, busy, no worries. Placed our drink order, my husband was very precise in how he wanted his drink. Short glass, type of tequila etc… She brought a very tall glass & my martini. When my husband told her he ordered a short margarita, she picked up both drinks and started to leave. I told her mine was fine to leave it. She walked over to bar, dumped half of the drink out and brought back the margarita??? Seriously? When my husband confronted her and said he saw what she did and wanted the drink remade she said she would get another drink from the bar when it was less busy… HOLD on! Take it back & get it remade, no waiting for bar to slow down… Really awful service, may not return. Always had great service… Sad… she never checked on us and we had to ask hostess to get her to bring us the bill. Really poor service.

Beautiful view and the service was decent, but the food was blah. Violating expectations of fish and chips by using salmon in a misguided attempt to be fancy… Succeeding only in being weird.(Burger was over dry but that was my fault, I was tired and accidentally asked for a medium well instead of medium.) Waiter managed to piss both me and spouse off by calling our daughter a princess. Was shocked by the final price… Really overpriced for not a worthy quality. Being in a golf club explains it( Unilocal said«sports bar» but golf is not what comes to mind when you think sports bar. This is no Buffalo Wild Wings.) Will not come again.

This place is beautiful. Right on the golf course with an excellent view! The outdoor seating was great, and the food was also great. They just switched over to there to there summer menu, so my boyfriend got the chicken sandwich and sweet fries and loved it. I got the mixed greens with salmon, and love love loved it! Would definitely go back next time in Tahoe. Prices are slightly high but so worth the atmosphere

Brooks’ was a random find in some last minute Unilocaling for a lunch spot on the lake. It was exactly what we were looking for. The views around Brooks’ are worth a million. We snapped some pictures on our way in and just couldn’t handle the beauty. The tan sand, clear blue sky and water and fluffy white clouds and snow-covered mountain tops, this was heaven to experience up close. While the bar/restaurant was deserted in our mid-day visit, the workers were down to earth, attentive and hospitable. The food was also very satisfying. Between our group, we tried: –winter salad w field greens, crumbled bleu, bacon, apples, cranberries, almonds, added grilled chicken –half pound sirloin cheddar bacon burger w sweet potato fries –french dip on ciabatta w caramelized onions, swiss cheese, au jus and horseradish with fries The ingredients of the salad were paired well and I’d recommend that you do add chicken to make it more filling. The bacon cheddar burger and french dips were prepared right and the regular fries and sweet potato fries served alongside were both SO good. Maybe it’s because I hadn’t had fries in a while, I’m not sure, but I was loving these fries. Come for the outdoor lakeside views, and don’t pass up on the fries.

We were very pleased with our Salmon and chips and French dip which we shared between the two of us. Apple cider adult beverage was amazing. I am going to try and copy the recipe at home.

Gorgeous view! That’s all I have to say at the moment because I just walked in here for the first time and already have a list of people I want to bring here! Keep Tahoe beautiful, and stay beautiful…

This is a hidden gem of South Lake Tahoe. I’ve been here on each of the last two visits, and the food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. I enjoyed the crab dip and the salmon, while others in our group enjoyed the chicken pot pie. There was plenty of room to stretch out and catch up as a group.

The food was average at best, but fairly priced. The french fries were good. The crab dip just wasn’t good. The burger was nice, big and juicy. There’s no real view from inside, and the view is what we came for. So just know that if you visit in the winter when there’s snow on the ground, there’s not much of a view.

A hidden gem! What a beautiful place. The views of the lake are spectacular, the happy hour was great, and the staff were so friendly! We came to watch a football game. The TV’s were large and crisp. We had the roasted brussel sprouts and flat bread appetizers. Delicious! For dinner, we chose the NY steak and a gorgeous salad. The steak was juicy, cooked perfectly with a slab of bacon. Yes. Bacon. Not just any bacon. Like, manly bacon. The salad was so good it didn’t need dressing! Fantastic all around. I was disappointed to see it so empty. The marketing manager needs to step it up a notch or three. There’s so much to offer here and it’s being overlooked. Such a shame. I hope this review gets more people in there because it’s well deserved :)

Reasonably priced food, good beer selection, wonderful ambiance, and amazing views! No one makes you feel out of place. Great place to meet friends for lunch or a drink. We take all our friends when they come to Tahoe. Wonderful customer service, as well. Very friendly. It is a little hard to find if you’ve never been there. Go through the pro shop.(This might change as they are renovating)

During our Tahoe Getaway, my husband and I had lunch at Brooks’ Bar & Deck on a Friday afternoon. It was a beautiful day outside, so we opted to sit on the patio. The view from the patio is breathtaking — you can see both Lake Tahoe and the manicured golf course. The patio itself is beautiful as well with wood pillars, rock walls and flagstone floors. I would highly recommend sitting outside! Once seated, our waitress was quick to take our drink orders — a mojito for me and a mango mojito for my husband. After our drinks arrived, we ordered lunch. As an appetizer, we ordered the chorizo poppers — jalapenos, cream cheese, and chorizo. I ordered the pulled chicken salad sandwich(roasted chicken with basil pesto, artichoke hearts, and tomatoes) with a side salad and my husband ordered the salmon fish and chips. My sandwich and the fish and chips arrived first. Hungry, we dug in. When our waitress came to check on us, the appetizer still had not come. She quickly went to rectify this. Near the end of our meal, the appetizer finally came out and our waitress apologized profusely and removed it from the bill due to the hassle. This was extremely kind of her! Overall, our food was delicious. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunches and drinks. I would order my sandwich again in a heartbeat. Additionally, the service was amazing — very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend Brooks’ Bar & Deck and will definitely be back!

Wow! This restaurant is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Lake Tahoe — the perfect wooden lodge mountain and lake hot spot. It serves one of the best breakfast buffets! For only $ 16, you get to enjoy a beautiful delicious all American breakfast with all the fixings like French toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, muffins, fresh fruits, salsa, guacamole, coffee, and more. The best part of the restaurant is the awesome outdoor patio seating that overlooks the entire golf course. The view is UNREAL! Pictures do not do this place justice, you just have to come and see it in person to really savor the true beauty of the Edgewood golf course aura. The restaurant is inside of the golf course. All the amenities and facilities are really manicured and polished. The service staff are super friendly and attentive. Parking is easy inside the golf course. Wifi is available for use. Bathrooms are nice and clean. It’s the perfect serene getaway of peace and tranquility right next to the lake and pier. Truly a hidden gem and precious find of Lake Tahoe.

Fantastic fish tacos! Sat at the bar and had a couple cocktails while enjoying the beautiful view of the immaculately groomed golf course. Service could have been friendlier. I will definitely return for the view and maybe even try their restaurant for dinner.

I am torn on how many stars to award Brooks’ Bar & Deck. If it were based on food and view alone, I would give 4 stars, no questions asked. But, our server… hm. She really made this difficult for me and my group. I’m going to settle on 3 stars, and I’m hoping the next time I visit, I can bump my star count up. I came here with two others for lunch before heading to a meeting. We weren’t in a rush, per say, but we definitely weren’t planning on spending as much time as we did waiting to order and receive our food. We originally sat outside because the weather felt great. Our outside server was wonderful: prompt, courteous, and delightful. Unfortunately, the weather started taking a bad turn, so we headed inside. Our outside waitress said someone else inside would be taking care of us. We took our drinks in and chose a table. There was a large group near us, and maybe one or two other tables occupied; in other words, not really busy by any means. I think we sat for at least 15 minutes before one member of my group was able to successfully flag down a waitress. We asked if we could have our order taken and she responded with, «Oh, you came from outside so I thought you already did.» Obviously, a logical thought, but maybe not the best response, especially in a nicer restaurant and area. Regardless if she thought we ordered or not, we came to sit inside, which now makes us her customers, and she should have at least stopped by the table in that time period. We ordered food and then waited a very long time to actually get it. Again, this was confusing as the restaurant was not full at all. When the food did actually arrive, maybe 25 minutes or so later, it definitely looked good and was presented well. I ordered the Veggie Lavash Wrap which came with a falafel, cucumber, tomato, sprouts, fresh herbs, tahini sauce, and sweet potato fries(14). The wrap itself was a little dry, but it came with some type of yogurt-like dressing, which was delicious and gave it some much needed sauce. It was definitely fresh. The sweet potato fries were crispy, but could have used more seasoning. Overall, I was pleased with the food and felt satisfied, as it was a good portion! In the end, I certainly think I would give this place another try. The views and food are good, it was just one bad server who ruined the experience.

This is a place with a 5-Star view, 4-Star food, and unfortunately a service experience that was 3-Stars all the way. But the bottom line is that makes this a solid 3.5 Star experience, and the view is what would bring me back time and time again. First I’d say come here for the view alone! Whether you sit inside or outside there are gorgeous views of the lake to be had. The patio is large and expansive, with comfortable patio furniture and large tables, and of course, amazing views of the Lake. This deck is easily one of the best places to enjoy a snack and a sip while taking in the scene. Inside you’ll find a warm mountain lodge with very interesting architecture, high ceilings, and beautiful floor to ceiling windows. The large wooden tables and deep leather arm chairs are luxurious and relaxing, and a place you could easily sit for a while. The massive windows let in a lot of natural light, and depending on where you look, you’ll see views of the Edgewood Golf Course or Lake Tahoe. As for the service slip, we’d originally sat outside, but because of cold winds from a thunderstorm, we moved inside. Upon the instruction of our awesome server on the patio, we didn’t order anything from her and went inside to be waited on by that team. My party of three sat for a while, and we were never checked on. We all attempted to make eye contact with the server who was devoting her attention to the large table of ladies who lunch behind us. It wasn’t until we called out to her fairly loudly that she paid us any attention. When we asked if we could order food, she responded shortly with«Oh. Well I thought you were already waiting on food.» After that she was solid, but an apology would have gone a long way in this kind of situation. For food I ordered one of their half pound burgers($ 16) with fresh jalapenos, bacon, and cheddar cheese(each $ 1 extra). The server asked how I wanted it cooked, and I said medium rare. The burger arrived looking nice and juicy with a nice char on the outside. The fresh jalapenos were a nice touch, and the bacon looked perfectly cooked. But where was the cheese? Not on the burger. We had run out of time to ask for it, so I enjoyed it without, but if you’re charging $ 20 for a burger it should be fantastic. I cut the burger in half to check the temp and found it way closer to medium than medium rare. Again, no time to send it back, so I enjoyed it just fine. It was well seasoned and thankfully not dry. The fries that came with it were fair, but I’d be sure and order them extra crispy next time. All in all, this was a solid 3.5 star experience and one that could have easily been 4 Stars if the service had responded appropriately. I wanted to love this place, but it kind of fell right where I thought it would. It’s a place that has amazing views, whcih make up for the just decent food and service.

I’ve spent a lot of time here last summer, and that’s really the only time it’s worth coming here. This is the bar lounge area for the fancy Edgewood golf course and is the bar for the ultra fancy Edgewood restaurant. Sitting outside in nice weather is about the only time it’s worth it to come here. I was here once when there were thunder storms brewing in the summer … we had to make a run for the inside when one cut loose! The food here is typical bar food, just almost double the price of a sports bar. Fish and chips and burgers can be had. There are usually some pretty hot lookin rich guys here … just sayin’. Service here is always perfect and they seem to only hire hotties for servers here … fine with me! Typical stuff to order are Calamari appetizer($ 15.00), I had a Cobb Salad($ 16.00) and BF had a prime rib dip($ 17.00) and my cousins BF had Fish and Chips($ 15.00) and my cousin had a Bacon Cheeseburger for($ 17.00). Add drinks and you can see the bill goes sky high for just regular stuff. We had 2 glasses of wine each at around $ 10 bucks a glass. None of the food was off the charts great, but pretty good, but I guess you just have to think you’re at a high end golf course at Lake Tahoe. I’m glad my cousin’s BF is rich, cause I can’t eat here on my own too often. If I was richer, I might rate this place higher. If I’m not paying, hell yes, it’s five stars!
