Way tooooo over-priced! They charge over 200% for frames MSRP, so that no matter what insurance you have, they can always rip you off! Keep in mind this is MSRP and you can usually find price at 50% or less online. If you are so rich and do not mind throwing your money, come here, otherwise avoid this place as hard as you can.

Worst service ever. I brought two glasses here, they made three mistakes. First issue, they charged me for coating, but they didn’t make it. Second issue, when I asked to fix it, they said they will let the manager handle it on Monday, but when I went back on Wednesday, the manager even didn’t know. Third issue, my insurance cover 80% over $ 150 for a frame. But they charge me 100%. I spent $ 289 for a Kate spade frame which is only worth $ 68 if you brought it from Kate spade website.

My wife and I both get are glasses and contacts from them. Everyone there is helpful and knowledgeable. Don’t understand all the complaints. Other than waiting a bit after my appt time. I can’t say a bad thing about them!

Manager called me once they saw my review on Unilocal.He replaced my lenses for free and apologized for the service I received earlier from one of his staff employees. Much better experience than before.

I have been going here for a few years now. While I have never really had an issue w/Dr. Blum specifically the rest of the staff seem completely inept and disorganized. Made an appointment online which was confirmed. Still had to wait 40 minutes when I got to the office. 1st time around when I tried to order my contact lenses they ordered the incorrect prescription. They just reordered my old prescription instead of ordering my new, stronger prescription 2nd time when I tried to get my correct prescription they ordered the wrong quantity of lenses. They are always polite and apologetic but it has taken me 2 weeks and 3 trips back to the office and I still don’t have the correct order of contact lenses.

Absolutely disgusted with the service I received here today. Late last night my toddler broke my glasses. The screw popped out on my left side of my glasses where the hinge is located. I have the WORST vision ever so immediately I needed to get them in one piece so that I wasn’t a blind bat for the rest of the night. I found some super glue and put them together that way. Crazy, perhaps, but I was panicked and have only one pair of glasses. I called Cohen’s the next morning and spoke to a young man who was very helpful. I let him know the situation and he said bring them on in! Upon arriving here it was very busy but the staff overall did a great job with getting people in and out. A young woman wearing glasses with blonde/black curly hair began to assist me. I told her the issue and what I did with the glue. She became frazzled and in disbelief to what I did. I intentionally did not glue where the screw would be inserted. She insisted that it was blocked and she had to see what they could do. After disappearing with my glasses to the back she helped the next guest and then another colleague of hers went in the back as well. I could hear a man in the back room cursing and saying how I should be glad they could fix it. The two women in the back were laughing and once the young woman came back out with my glasses she tried to make it a huge deal that they were able to fix it. She handed me my glasses and proceeded to tell me «next time…» in which I cut her off. I explained to her that I did not need to be lectured on what to do with my glasses. If they didn’t want to help me then they did not have to. I felt they were all very unprofessional and I will probably call in on Monday to speak to a manager about this.

I’ve used this branch of Cohen’s for the past several years for my yearly eye exam and glasses. Never had a problem. The store manager seems dedicated to customer satisfaction, and the Optometrist is fine. Just best to avoid the year-end crunch!

one of the worst. My 4 yr old daughter has astigmatism and was diagnosed with +3.5 power. Those careless bunglers made specs with power –3.5. we never got to know till she had her next eye exam 2 months later. even then, no one at the shop had the decency to apologise, but instead tried to shift the blame to us. remember, the doctor had to call the store so that they would replace the specs.

Kenneth B. has me confused with another seemingly unhappy customer. His response is inaccurate. You might note in my review I mentioned that the dr. exam was competent and not one of my concerns. The prescription was not brought in from another dr. The glasses were completed, one time, and accurately. However, over 3 weeks, does not qualify as «quickly» in my opinion.

I have had two really bad experience at Cohen’s Fashion Optical located in the Stamford Mall. GOTHEREATYOUROWNRISK. First time, I took my Rx to get a pair of glasses made, it took 2.5 week to make, which is longer than I would expect, but once they were made they were ridiculously bad. The lens were totally wrong from the Rx, there was no way to wear them for more than 10 seconds. I complained but it fell on deaf ears. I got them checked with a doctor and he confirmed the lens were off from the Rx. Second time my family member went there to get some adjustment to existing glasses, and guess what the totally incompetent staff broke the $ 500 lens !! All of their staff was rude and wanted to throw us out of shop after they messed up. I just have no words for this place. My advice, AVOIDTHISPLACEFORYOUROWNGOOD — — — — — – UPDATE: — — — — — – I got this in a recent replies to my review, ” ******… Stop your inaccurate opinions Kenneth B. Irvington, NY” (Which I believe is from the eye doctor at Cohen’s) This is turning out to be hilarious, even he can’t take one bad review ! This place is a real mess!
