The lucky dill is the best local spot if your looking for great food. The signature skyscraper sandwich is what I ordered and I was very impressed. I felt like I was in New York and if you know anything about New York they have the biggest and best sandwiches in the country. Lucky dill is a must go restaurant.

Visited this deli on 4÷15÷2016. Ticket# 3083. I was craving a Reuben and was in the area(even though I live in Oldsmar closer to Palm Harbor location) so stopped in at 5:50 pm. They were closing at 6. Not a problem they said. I got my sandwich and bread was burnt. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 30 yrs. and I tipped when paying for the sandwich after ordering it. Kimberly or anyone never came to check on me. I even wanted pickles. Not a one. $ 13.55 wasted. Spend a lot if time at St. Anthony’s hospital which is close by. Rest a sure I’ll never go back to that location. And being in the business I know that Ill tell 8 people, then they’ll tell 8 people, then they’ll tell 8 people. Get if?

Cuban sandwich was disgusting and over priced. Have half of it to my friend and he threw it away. Then i decided to get a black and white cookie which was over $ 3 and the guy tried to tell me you can’t get them anywhere else… what? Seriously? And it was obviously frozen and then wrapped… Lunch almost $ 30 for two and disgusting

It was such a perfect day we decided to go down town and explore. We had heard and read about the great food here so we gave it a try. We shared a sandwich loaded with pastrami and corn beef I think it was called the thunder dome. It was fantastic, we sat outside. Don’t visit downtown St. Pete without eating here!

My last few trips to Lucky Dill have been met with long waits despite business being slow. Last week, I was put on hold for 5 mins before having to call back. I was then asked to hold again. Today, I placed an order over the phone, was told it would be ready in 5 – 10 mins, arrived 10 mins later, paid and waited another 10 mins before asking for my money back. Getting a refund took longer than it should have and my food still wasn’t up by the time I left. No apologies from the staff. Last visit to Lucky Dill.

I visited lucky dill in April, it was beautiful outside so that’s where I decided to get a table. I love the ambiance at this place, the foot traffic and the business of downtown st. Pete really give Lucky dill a vibe you won’t find at many places. I tried a twist on Tampa’s native dish, the Jewish Cuban it didn’t disappoint, very large sandwich worth every penny. The service was attentive and my drink was kept full. I look forward to visiting again the next time I’m in the burg.

The $ 5 Cuban sandwich on Tuesdays used to be a good size. But the last few times the sandwich has been noticeably smaller. I will not be going there anymore on Tuesdays at least…

Good food and atmosphere. We got our order to go and walked over to the waterfront for a picnic.

Lucky Dill delivered lunch today at a meeting of 13 people held in the fantastic book smart conference room at the Station House. Dena, who handles catering there, was especially helpful. She got the order right and made sure the food was delivered on time. Everyone enjoyed lunch and Lucky dill made things easy for me. I would definitely use them again.

I was glad to stumble upon this place on a rainy day in St. Pete. We were attending a festival and it was cold and rainy so we chose to seek out shelter while we grabbed lunch. Like the Palm Harbor location, they specialize in deli sandwiches but this location is a walkup counter with tables and the ambience isn’t quite as nice. The chicken noodle soup was pretty hearty and had good flavor. I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was okay and my kids had turkey sandwiches. One thing I disliked was the layout. We chose an available table only to have people constantly coming in and reaching over our heads for menus(*tip* don’t sit at the first table on the right!). Other than that they were pretty good. Would not go out of my way to come here but glad to have found a familiar staple when we needed to!

The cookie ice cream sandwiches were delicious. This Lucky Dill isn’t as great as the one in Palm Harbor. Staff was friendly.

Good burger. Nothing special about it. With the fierce competition food-wise in St. Pete, it doesn’t really stand out. If you want a decent burger, no frills, it works.

Don’t bother. The menu says the deli sandwiches are oversized so I ordered the half with a salad combo. It was not oversized… but expensive. And your sandwich doesn’t come with a pickle. I’m confused… isn’t that part of this deli’s name? The bathrooms were disgusting. The women’s toilet was about to overflow so I went to the men’s. Eek. That was gross. The cashier Janelle needs some coaching on friendliness and efficiency. She let us know that she needed to know it was a sandwich/salad combo first in order to ring it up correctly. That was AFTER she rang it up wrong two times but that was OUR fault. We should have know that right! How about ask that question first before you start pressing buttons and have to void it out? Expensive, lacking anything original, dirty bathrooms and sub par customer service. If that’s what you’re looking for here you go!

I’m a big fan of Lucky Dill. I’ve been to the Palm Harbor location several times. I had the opportunity to visit the St. Pete restaurant recently. It’s much smaller than the Palm Harbor location. The St. Pete location is like a «Lucky Dill express». The menu isn’t as expansive and you have to place your order with a cashier at the counter… The food was still good though. I ordered half of a hot pastrami deli sandwich and a cup of chili. You really can’t go wrong with anything even on this location’s abbreviated menu though. Go check them out if you find yourself in this section of St. Pete!

Really cute and unique place right on Central. We went for breakfast. The line was not too long at about 11 o’clock. We order the salmon Benedict and crab Benedict. Both were delicious. The potato pancakes that they both came with were out of this world. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The breakfast even came with a free mimosa each. Bottom line: delicious Benedicts for brunch

We went to this establishment for a bachelorette brunch. The food was delicious and they served bottomless mimosas for $ 9.99… It’s a great deal; however if they could just get their service and employee attitude adjusted, this place would be amazing. Did I mention we saw a family change a baby on a table and not one employee said anything? I would suggest you ask them to clean the table before you sit, as i did warn another customer after I shared the pic I took!

We hit them up on our trip to St. Pete twice because yeah, they’re that good. Even with lots of foodie treats and interesting things to eat nearby we had to do them twice! Very impressed with the value too… you’ll not get that here in Orlando. In fact, once home, we went back to two or three of our favorite local deli haunts just to compare and none did, price and size wise. We Love you Lucky Dill. Super awesome and when are you coming to Orlando, please?

Not the fanciest place but the quality of food was pretty good for a deli joint. The first time I visited I had a Steakhouse Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was surprisingly juicy and the fries tasted freshly made. Staff was also great. The second time i visited I decided to choose from the breakfast menu. It wasn’t as good as the burger but it was still pretty good. The Cheese Grits was the best breakfast item. FYI they have a Southern Jazz Sunday that includes a mimosa!

We stopped in here while walking around st. Petes… Decided to go in here. Supposedly known for their big deli sandwiches? Maybe because I’m from metro Detroit and the delis are out of this world. We order our food, and the sandwiches were super small and just ok. I was still hungry after eating a full sandwich(and I’m on the small/average size with a normal appetite) There’s absolutely nothing special about this place. The service was lacking and the bathroom was dirty.

Ordered in lunch with coworkers and we were not impressed. I ordered a Reuben and it was not at all like the great and gigantic Reuben’s I’ve had from the Lucky Dill in Palm Harbor — boo. Bread was greasy and a little burned, sandwich was considerably smaller than the PH location sandwich(I had no problem finishing it — usually I bring ½ home from the PH restaurant), and the corned beef tasted different(hard to describe but more processed tasting and texture was weird). Coworkers greek salads looked boring and not huge portions. Back to our old reliable Lonni’s for delivery after this experience.
