Love Harvey’s! Their fresh Grouper sandwich is delicious! Great homemade potato salad which is prepared daily! Staff all very nice. Oh, and don’t forget to order the Key Lime Pie! It was the best!

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Went for a late lunch and opted for a booth. The place was filling up fast. Had a great server who liked the fact we weren’t in a rush as the table next to us was obviously in such a rush they were flat out rude to her. Got a couple beers and started with their housemade broccoli cheese bites. Served with a horseradish sauce. these babies were delicious. For our main courses he got the chili cheeseburger and I got the steak sandwich. His burger was massive amd covered with their yummy chili. My steak sandwich was an actual filet of steal on a bun… not the typical shaved steak u get. The flavor was quite good. grilled not fried in a pan. Unfortunately it had a piece of gristle running thru it so that was a little of a downfall but I didn’t hold it against them as it was soo good otherwise. They make their own jalapeño poppers as well as their dressings. I like thst about a place. I’ll be back

Great late night food! Came here because we’d gotten done at a ballgame late and needed food. The waitress was super accommodating and very kind. Made sure that the baby we had with us was well taken care of as well. The food was exactly as described and tasted great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal.

You know I always drive past this place and think«man I haven’t been there in a while». Not that I was ever disappointed in 35 years. Just — I don’t know– always there? Take it for granted? My bad!!! Ok always a favorite for Sunday brunch. And a great place for Saturday AM too for those of us in the know(keep it under your hat if you like a good thing). But– Ok I had the chicken taco salad. Yes how ballsy of me. But-good lord for 9 bucks all this? Amy Moss had the mandarin/walnut/chicken salad which has been a simple and fantastic thing here forever. Yes she gave me some! Thing is-I forgot how good the seafood was here. My mother and Pete Moss had the seafood sampler. Of course my mother gave me some of hers. I mean fresh fresh fresh grouper, shrimp and nice plump scallops. Perfectly done. Hats off to the lads in the kitchen! I’m sorry I forgot how good this damned place was. Food was fantastic. And man I love the bar down to the old Hamm’s and Bud signs. Those Hamm’s panoramas were the envy of every farm boy from the Kettle Moraine’s eye to someday put into their own basement bar-just like dear old Dad or Uncle Gerry had! And the circling Bud Clydesdales? Classic! Well I dig the Midwestern retro look(yes I come by it honest) but folks it’s a great bar as well as a great eatery.

I’ve been coming here since the 1980’s, when this place was really popular and the Full Moon Parties got crazy! It seems I always end up ordering their chicken salad sandwich, and I love their potato salad. Harvey’s has some of the salvaged architecture from the Vinoy and from the Soreno hotels, which is kinda cool. It seems more laid back now, less busy, but still an okay place to stop by for happy hour drinks or a late night bite to eat. Nice ambiant lighting inside, or there is a patio area out back.

A good neighborhood restaurant & bar. A nice place to meet up with friends but you won’t find us making a special trip there for the food or atmosphere. With so many other offerings on 4th St. with outdoor seating it’s just not in our top picks for a regular dinner place. They do have good potato skins so if you’re out late and need a snack they’re open!

I love this place, and so do the elderly! Great food and prices with an outdoor deck.

From start to end it was awful. Hostess and waitress were both unpleasant, food was not tasty at all, eggs were uncooked on one side and waitress acted as if we’d be lucky to get a new order, which was speed cooked and rubbery. Special(minor) request due to dietary restriction was ignored. Everything took too long. Bad treatment + bad food = we will never go back.

Terrible staff. I have never ever been treated worse. First by the hostess who rolled her eyes AT me when she had to clean a table for my family to eat. My waitress took 20mins to even introduce herself. And when taking the orders she literally argued with us over our food choices. I was stunned. Serious, speechless. I hope they close this place down.

Great go to spot. Something for everyone The fresh grouper sandwich is awesome. the fries are fresh cut and the cole slaw is home made! Have the grouper ruben this week and was blown away. Always worth the trip and well worth the price! Get to know the servers –some have been there for years.

Hi: every one I’ve been going too this place for almost of 24yr. The food been grate. & other times it should been in the trash. I went last night & got the HAY&STRAW& Had Chicken added for $ 2.00 it came out quick, but only a small piece of bread. I asked for more toasted bread 2 pieces PLEASERIGHT A way; food was good; but had very little HAM& a lot of PEAS. «overwhelming» I got half way don with my meal, & still no more bread as yet. I asked ware is the bread & was told she will check. Well the meal is now done & no bread. HOWLONGDOESITTAKE A COOKTOTOAST2PIECESOFBREAD? I was then told a story. I stopped her & said Don’ t want to hear it. It her job to make sure the cooks fill the order I THINKITSGOINGDOWNHILL A LITTLEAT A TIME.

This is one of our go-to spots. We always get the red eye shrimp and I’m a big fan of the Cajun grouper sandwich. Lots of Sunday Brunch options too.

A classic St. Pete staple! Every Time I visit my home town I make a point to visit. They have the best blackened grouper sandwich around! I know it’s a short review, but just get the sandwich!

Harvey’s just feels like one of those«okay» places to eat. Nothing is fantastic, it is just okay. The service is just okay, at best. Came with a group of ladies for dinner and drinks and was underwhelmed. Appetizers feel like they came from next door at GFS. Drinks were fine and nicely priced. But service was disappointing — it felt as if the waitress wanted to turn over the table more quickly than we did. The service reflected that.

Food was fair Server was good but they need someone at the door(hostess) that can at least smile and say hello or welcome. Will not return

Had lunch with a friend and it was ok. I ordered the grouper sandwich. The waitress raved about the fries and I thought they were terrible. Friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich and enjoyed, it was actually quite large.

I can’t believe today was my first visit to this place! I come from Orlando regularly to visit my Grandma and this is super close to where she lives. We walked in around 5 and were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the door. Grandma wanted to sit in their«sun room» which is an enclosed patio with picnic tables and a beautiful ceiling our server told us was the dance floor of an old St. Pete hotel. I ordered a cheeseburger and my grandma had the grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. My burger patty looked like it had been hand formed, no pre-made burgers here! My sangria was yummy too. I think the only downside was that the sunroom was a bit loud for my grandma. Apparently it’s the party room and the voices from the group near us seemed to be bouncing off the walls. Also there was no mention any specials. Is there a happy hour? I’d love to go back and sit at the bar.

The French dip sandwich was very bland and soggy. I had to ask for another sub roll to rebuild our sandwich and make it edible. It came with a rice salad that I did not care for. My boyfriend absolutely loves fettuccini Alfredo, but he did not like his fettuccini Alfredo here. It was very greasy and the noodles were overlooked. Also, like the sandwich, it was very bland. For an app we got the fried vegetables and once again the food was not flavorful. I will not be returning.

Best grouper sandwich in town! Grouper nuggets and chicken tenders are a second favorite! Recently changed their prices and now charging for sides. That’s a turnoff to me– I’d rather see the price go up and don’t tell me you’re charging for my side item. We used to visit Harvey’s on a regular basis, but due to these changes, our dining in this establishment will dwindle— as I’ve heard others say they’re unhappy with the changes and acting like El Cap a few blocks north charging for every single item.
