After a long day on the road a man needs a good meal! Went to Applebee’s here in St. Petersburg, Florida and here how it went — slow, slow, slow, slow, & slow… LOL!
My service was slow and waitress wasn’t good at refilling drinks. I would have rated a 2-​star but the food was great! What about that! ;^o
Slow service & great food… So, they get a big 3-​star from Olé’Harv due to the great food.
This place is nice inside and out with the outdoor patio, etc. I’m gonna say THIS Applebee’s can use a little tweaking on service and I hope the slow service don’t make people not return due to the great food.
I’ve been to better Applebee’s that the service was great as well as the food.

I ordered car side to go last night. My order consisted of boneless buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, a burger & fries, kids mac and cheese and a blondie for dessert. I did not inspect the bag because I have never had an issue before. When I came home I was missing mozzarella sticks, fries and the milk for the kids meal. When I called to ask them about this it rang 20 times and then when I did get a girl on the phone she didn’t even apologize or offer to make it better. I told her I would be back up to pick it up. I asked if a bag was forgotten and she goes «I have no idea.» I will no longer be eating here as they are rude and didn’t offer anything to make it right.

Car side to go:
7of sirloin medium rare, it came well done.
Garlic broccoli, taste like old hard under cooked feet.
Baked potato with sour cream and butter, came rock hard plain.
Caesar salad, the dressing is awful and the croutons are soft.
Overall this meal is awful.

The service is very friendly and the new menu items like the chicken wonton tacos are delish!

Apple bees sucks yuck frozen food an really greasy don’t take it home because it turns to ultra much and taste terrible .that’s all good luck

After a years hiatus from this Applebee’s due to consistently rotten service and poorly prepared food, my wife and I decided that since we were going to be having our dinner quite early 4:30, why not try Applebee’s again. Seeing that it was so early how bad could it be? They’re still open after all…
I want to rip into the service but you know what? These were franchise/​management issues all the way. So first the chips and salsa which used to cost around 3 bucks is now closer to 5. No biggie because their salsa is really good the chips taste fresh and it’s bottomless. Well it appears that has changed you now get the tinniest cups of red and green salsa (which is new). It was a pepper based salsa and is not very good. At any rate the chip to salsa ratio is all off and about half the size as before. This was one of the few things this place had going for it that I could count on in the past.
Ordered a draft beer and watched it get poured and sit on the bar for 9 minutes. Look I really don’t want to pick on the service because we overheard our waitress say she was the only one working. Once we heard that we started to pay attention and sure enough she was everywhere while the manager would come out and apologize and cut discounts and try to do damage control everywhere. Our meal took nearly 2 hours to complete. Now I will say my burger was pretty tasty and my wife had soup and salad. So lets recap… Chips and salsa, two beers, sweet tea, soup, salad and a burger with fries that followed the burger by 7 minutes… 2 hours. Let me say that again, 2 hours. I didn’t see that manager out taking one order. I didn’t see her proactive at all. Shame on her for leaving that girl out there on an island by herself. So after a hiatus if we can’t expect good service at 4:30 in the afternoon, you can pretty much expect the same anytime. This used to be my wife and her friends girls night out stop towards the end of the night and it’s just gotten worse and worse. Honestly I don’t know how the Applebee’s corporate offices allow this place to stay in business. And please look at my other reviews. I feel I am always fair and look for the positive even in bad experiences but this place keeps setting the bar lower and lower. Time for corporate to yank the name Applebee’s from this place so as to not hurt their name… If they care.

Had a specialty — appetizer and burger. Boneless wings had too much sauce for my taste, but burger was nice and juicy — classic. However, when I asked coffee latte waiter brought me americano and creamers, it tasted good though. Overall pretty good meal at the end of a great weekend. Will be back, I guess.

Ugh. Applebee’s. Whoever developed this restaurant concept obviously never met a vegetarian. The one item our server recommended was the «Veggie Patch Pizza.» Make that the «Mushy dough with spinach and artichoke dip slathered on top» meal. I avoid this place at all costs. I will say: They have good happy hour deals, but you must like drinks that look and taste like Windex as well as greasy, fried food. Why does this restaurant chain still exist?

As hospitality veterans, it’s not often we find a place to unwind after work and enjoy both the food AND the exceptional service. Although we’ve only sat at a table on rare occasion, the bar is our favorite place for 2−4 – 1’s and the service is always phenomenal. Jeff and Tamara are our favorite without any doubt. They are not only fantastic, accommodating bartenders, but also have such fun personalities, and for that we consider them friends.
Drinks: rotating seasonal taps are delicious. The margaritas can be made in almost any flavor, and are always portioned just right to be crisp and refreshing.
Food: Jeff turned us on to the Salsa Verde Nachos (choice of pulled pork or brisket… BRISKET!) and the Brew Pub Pretzels are amazing.

This is our neighborhood Applebee’s, and frankly, we only go there because it’s there are no other casual dining restaurants in the area. We wish someone would open a Chili’s or TGIFriday’s. This Applebee’s is hit or miss, but has been steadily declining over the last few years.
Tonight, the place was busy, so we sat outside. There have been torrential downpours lately, and apparently, they don’t bring their condiment caddies inside, because the salt grinders were filled with water, and our caddy was dripping water all over the table. The ketchup was empty, and the mustard bottle looked like it had been handle by someone with muddy hands.
The waitstaff didn’t know the table numbering system, so walked around with food asking people if whatever they were carrying was theirs. We waited an inordinately long time before we were even asked to order drinks, and between each course. Our main dishes had clearly been sitting for awhile, based on the coagulated fat on top of our steaks. It also took forever to get our check.
Several years ago the managers made a point to visit every table to see how their patrons were enjoying their food and experience. They don’t do that anymore, likely because they don’t want to hear the truth. Experiences like this one are the reason that, despite the convenience of proximity, we rarely come here anymore.

Have been to this location several times. This location has been on a decline in quality, and service for many years. I went tonight after work to try and get a decent meal since I had no opportunity to eat at work. Went in around 11:45pm thinking this would be way better than taco-​bell or McDonalds, and assuming since they were not busy I would get a quick quality meal. First off i stood at the hostess station and was not greeted or anything had to actually start walking toward a table before someone saw me. Our waitress seemed nice, music was extremely loud, i asked if they could turn it down she said yes but it never happened.
We ordered food i got boneless wings to start and got them hot with ranch as a side. After about 20 mins we had our boneless wings, they were very salty and i guess hot but not buffalo hot its like they just sprinkled black pepper on them, and no ranch. Our waitress after bringing this was MIA for the remainder of the meal. We even tried pushing the button from the table to call her with no result. Around 12:20 my food still had not arrived but my wife was nearly done with her meal, all i had was the boneless wings with no sauce, and my drink by then was way long gone. The manager came over to deliver my meal and i asked if it could all be boxed up since we had to get home and rest before work tomorrow, i also voiced some concerns, she seemed very friendly but not in a genuine way just like I’m gonna hear you say sorry and forget this happened kinda way, not in an I’m going to seriously fix this kind of way. I was shocked she did not offer to discount anything or comp us or anything i mean we had no waitress, bad food, loud music, i was surprised. It definitely didn’t seem like she cared. We saw our waitresses on the way out she even said she was so sorry, she knew that she didn’t help us. I mean when we left there were like 5 people in the restaurant its not like they were busy, i could hear the employees laughing it up in the kitchen. So i walked up to the bar to pay my check, no one at all was on the floor, one of the bar patrons turned to me and asked «are you looking for service» i said «yea i just wanna pay my bill» to which he quickly replied“good luck”.
So the manager comes back from the kitchen and i asked her if i could pay the bill, she began, and i again voiced my great disappointment and many complaints, she again in a not so genuine way kind of apologize and said she would take off half of the bill. I mean honestly at this point it should have been comped but whatever i wanted to get home. I went home and finally got to eat my meal, about an hour or so later i started feeling terrible and vomited up the entire meal and felt terrible.
I feel like i have given this location so many re-do’s i more than likely will never return. Applebee’s is going the way of Bennigan’s… Get it together guys! This is ridiculous!
The difference between these big chains and the little guys is the chains don’t want us they need us to survive, and the little guys both want us and need us to authenticate their hard work and to survive against these faceless giants.
I am so tired of getting treated terribly at chains like this.
Plus i can see Applebee’s doesn’t even monitor Unilocal!Really how are you a business of any kind let alone a food establishment and not monitor one of the largest business social networks! Just proves they don’t care because people will continue to go even though things aren’t good due to pricing gimmicks and lax staff.
Wake up Applebee’s we aren’t just something u have to deal with this is a SERVICE industry and you are failing to serve, i mean you are not even meeting your 2.5 star Unilocal expectations.

Got our appetizer after our meals (seriously i had forgot we even got one) we had a waitress whom i assume was training this other girl, the girl gave us the wrong things but thats not what im mad about, our main waitress (trainer whatever) was super rude about her messing up. it was like mean. Everyone messes up etc etc. Oh took eating my whole meal to get a drink and now the manager is out here screaming out names of dishes for people i guess to speak up and claim cause the waitress isnt out here. Complete fucking mess on the whole outside seating. Oh well it is applebees and im not 16.
Oh man so i wrote this review whilst waiting on a tab. The chic legitly just showed me all her credit cards and said this one is yours right? Nope wasnt my card LOL never again at this one.

It’s not really my 1^st choice, or my 2^nd,
3^rd or 10^th.
The hockey game was on, so it was exciting and environment is great. My reason was to meet up with a friend and have a great night together.
Loved my company. Loved the ambience of Applebee’s, Love the 2−4−1 drinks, but the service — not good, food — definitely not good.
We had to remind him of food we ordered, he even forgot to place one of our orders.
We would come back to get together and have drinks, but no thanks on the food.
It’s just about the location and hours,
That’s the only reason why we came here.

Food was decent; service was awful. Only 5 tables when we arrived, but two couples came in after U.S. ordered and got their food long before us.
They don’t care because Applebee’s deals on volume not quality of service.
Too bad food is good for a quick meal.

Ok. I gave it another try because a friend of mine urged to me to give this location another chance. I had a sirloin and steamed broccoli and zucchini. The veggies were great. However, the sirloin was strange. It was grayish. I don’t think the grill was hot enough. Dom’s chicken was overcooked but edible. Eh.

Food was delicious and delivered quickly. Excellent, friendly service with great food.

Applebees is not a chain I frequent often since many of the items I liked have been discontinued on the menu. I only ate here at a friend’s suggestion. This restaurant was easy to find and had plenty of on site parking.
We ate from the 2 for $ 20 menu. I had the quesadilla burger and my friend the sizzling chicken. We both thought our meals were ok, but nothing spectacular. I have had better food quality at other restaurants of the same chain.

Why do people like Applebee’s? How is this chain still in business?
When an office requested lunch from here, I tried to sway them to any other restaurant, but they had their heart set on sub marginal food.
I looked their menu up online and saw NOTHING that striked my fancy so I went with the Oriental chicken salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was gross-​lots of grizzle and brown spots. It was a little wet too, which was weird.
I also ordered an app of their chips and lime salsa. I tasted not even a trace of the lime. Oh well.
Everyone’s meals looked like they were heated up in a microwave and the shrimp looked like they were pre-​cooked. I didn’t see any grill marks on the grilled shrimp.
Do yourself a favor and skip this chain.

This location is my «neighborhood Applebee’s». Walked in at 4pm on a Thursday to a nearly dead restaurant at obvious shift change or so I thought. Two gals at the hostess booth were lazily chatting and one lone waitress was literally doing laps around the place to serve all the occupied tables.
Anyway, we were seated and this one lone waitress, Brittney, was our server too. She was polite and took her time to get everything right. The food we ordered came out in a timely manner, was hot and tasted good. I enjoyed sharing the green bean crispers and the chicken wonton tacos, my dinner companion also ordered a salad with shrimp on it that she enjoyed.
I can’t complain about the food but man the service! Get this poor girl some help, all other staff felt they had time to mosey but this girl could hustle.

So Applebee’s has the every day, all day happy hour and 2 for 1 drinks, right? Well they should’ve mentioned that they jacked up the price to $ 7 a drink, including Stella, so it’s not such a special deal. Plus they bring you both of your drinks at the same time. I’m assuming Alcoholics Anonymous don’t have their weekly meetings there. So why did I give it three stars? Because the chicken fingers and cheese sticks are so good! Wish those were 2 for 1. Next time I’m gonna sneak in a cooler.
