Limited options lend me to say that I’d order their specialties not things one could order anywhere. Want fast service, try the fast-food places in Terminal A. Want local flavor? Try the Walleye Fish n Chips. Yummy!

Horrible service. They were hardly busy(should have been a clue) and no one would say hello or take my order. I watched at least one other table leave because of the same treatment before i decided to exit.

This is one of few places to eat in Terminal 1 Concourse A at MSP, and even with little competition, Itasca provides fairly good food and service. Noted as casual American fare, the menu includes dishes specific to the North/Midwest such as the Walleye Fish & Chips. The fish was okay, but would have been better had it been fried at the correct temp. The batter was a tad darker than I prefer and was saturated with oil. The fries were fine, and the slaw was good(crisp and refreshing compared to the oil logged Walleye). They offer a good selection of beers, and the service was adequate. Three stars is generous, but two is too harsh. There is a lot of potential with a great menu, and I prefer mediocre sit-down to fast food any day.

I’m actually writing this review at a table, while I wait for a server to acknowledge my existence. I went to the front to ask if they do indeed take your order at the tables, to which she sarcastically answered yes, I assume. Not sure about the food here, looks like I won’t get the chance to order. 10 minutes in counting. Guess I’ll eat fast food.

Service was fine but kitchen took a long time to get my burger out and when it came it was pretty small and overdone. Definitely a place to skip at MSP

Awful. Server was very nice, but coffee was bad, service really slow, hot food not hot. Avoid if possible.

My third visit… worst coleslaw I ever had. It was tasteless and all mayo… Fish batter was like a piece of plywood. Chips were ok. The service was good, however… Last time I will eat here. Stay closer to center hub of airport. The ambience is good… But food alot less than what it should be. I am from he MSP area and know there is lots better places than this.

Ordered my usual smoked trout salad here and a Woodford Reserve bourbon. All was great! Service was great and atmosphere was great! Maybe I’ll try something else on my next trip through.

Service wasn’t super snappy, but the fish and chips was actually pretty tasty. I enjoyed the coleslaw and the double pickle(not sure that’s what it’s really called) tartar sauce was good. If I’m stuck with a layover in the A or B area, I’d stop in again. It’s not my favorite in MSP, but it’s the only thing close by and it’ll work in a pinch.

The walleye sandwich is good. The service at the bar is much better than seated at a table. Great place for kids to burn energy. I sit by the glass rail and the kids can run up and down the stairs or ride escalators while I finish my wine– all within view. Good way to burn energy before the flight.

Everybody who works here is pissed. So I chugged my beer and GTFO! Peace out angry people!

Here’s the thing: this restaurant is in an airport where there are not a ton of other restaurants around. It gets two stars for existing where it does. It’s a third star for having decent beer and edible food. But if you have time I would visit other places to eat in this great airport. It is hard to ruin walleye, but they managed to do it. They also ruined the walleye of the guy eating next to me. You can’t go to one of these places expecting great culinary creativity and food network presentations, but you have every right to expect that what they advertise as their specialty is not burnt and marginally edible. Service was adequate but I do not expect any more at an airport. It’s an airport. I expect the food to be OK but not great, and I expect the prices to be higher than usual and the service to be mediocre. But there are places I would give four even five stars in this airport. Reviews by nature are relative, and this was like kissing my sister.

Stopped in on a layover to eat. It was not very busy but still took 30 minutes to get my fish and chips. Food was not up to par and would not recommend. Fish was overcooked and very«fishy». Coleslaw was tasteless and fries were just okay. Only positive was the food was hot…

Certainly not a quick eat if you’re boarding in 45 minutes. Food is average at best and took about a half hour to get to the table. I had the meatloaf and the spinach was overlooked and the onion ring was burned. The meatloaf was decent. I think a Big Mac would have been more satisfying. Service was slow because it seems there was only 1 wait staff for the entire open area.

Let me start by saying the server was great. One server for the whole area. Food was yuck. Fries weren’t cooked. Brat sliders were super basic. The wedge salad was what sent me over the edge. Wedge salad. Weird and gross. Upside down wedge on a bed of bacon, tomatoes, egg, and red onion. Salad was frozen brown and the tiny bit of green was wilted. The tomatoes hadn’t been properly cored and diced. The«bacon vinaigrette» was mayonnaise. No joke. Described as having a «creamy blue cheese, bacon vinaigrette», yet there was no blue cheese(not even a crumble) and the dressing was mayo. I swear. Never one to send food back I did this time. Gross. Waiting on the buffalo burger now. If I don’t amend this review its because it was gross too. AMENDMENT — the buffalo burger was very good. Fries were better too.

Came through here on a layover. Really busy place and had to sit down on an unbussed table so that we could get a seat in time for the next flight. Took a while to bus the table, but after that placed an order and the food came out shortly after. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to put down either. Wish it could have been better, but really it was a quick bite to eat and had to move on through. Nice staff, but they seemed overwhelmed/busy and it affected our experience. If I come back through here again I hope it’ll be a better experience.

Horrible service. I asked for water 3 times but never got it but she repeatedly asked if I needed another beer. The place was filthy & my server wiped tables with dry napkins, no sanitary solution. The walleye was burnt & nothing to write home about. Thankful I had bottled beer so my mouth never touched a glass.

The service here was undeniably wonderful. The food was not. My fish sandwich was pretty tasty and I was glad that I followed the suggestion of our server, but my husband was not so lucky. He got the meatloaf, which actually reminded me of the Salisbury steak I used to get slopped onto a food tray in elementary school. Thin, a little tough, but mostly appearing to be a fancied up ground meat patty(I know, I know that’s kind of what meat loaf is, but I think you know what I mean). I’m not sure I’d choose this place over any of the other options in the airport again. I’d rather grab a healthier option somewhere else, no matter how badly I want a beer during my layover.

We sat at the bar and had good service. The bartender was friendly and did a nice job explaining menu items. I had the chicken pot pie. It was more like a soup/stew with some dry crust thrown on top. As far as soup goes, it tasted good, but I would not call it a chicken pot pie since the«puff pastry» wasn’t baked on… it felt more like an afterthought. They should really just market this as soup and serve bread or something on the side. It wasn’t very filling, and left me hungry. My husband had the walleye fish and chips. He described it as «decent for airport food.»
