I walked by this store on my way to the movies. It is an amazing shop right on the corner of 7th St and Washington. The owner was there to greet us and she was very nice and welcoming. They have such a great variety of tings to purchase for yourself or as a gift for others. The prices were very reasonable, which is surprising because it looks like a high end shop that would be out of my price range. The range of merchandise is crafted anywhere from local artists to items that she imports internationally. He focus is buying from businesses that empower women in other countries.(Meaning the women who make the items are the ones to profit from their sales). I didn’t have a lot of time to spend in the shop shopping like I would have liked because we were late for our movie. But I am making a special trip to go back so I can take my time and make some purchases. I am looking forward to bringing a few friends with me to share a great place that I found!

Trova lives! I’m so excited to see this great shop surface in downtown St. Louis. When it was over near Lafayette Park I would go there whenever my sisters had birthdays or occasions(which was a multitude). I could always find something that I knew would please them, and most of the time I’d end up with something for myself(and a mental wish list). Now I’ve got it back! Lori runs the place still; so good to see her and catch up. The range of merchandise she maintains is wide and eclectic, equal parts charming, funky and sophisticated: clothes, accessories, furniture, items of jewelry and décor created and crafted by local artists. It’s all the intriguing, «why didn’t I think of this/never seen this before» kind of stuff that I love to find and take home. Saint Louis needs more places like this, I say! Get yourself over to Trova and see that I’m right. It’ll be your first and last stop for gifts and personal splurges, I’m willing to bet. Can’t wait to see what she’s get coming in next; my bride’s birthday is coming up. She’ll be glad to hear that Trova is still in town and thriving. Long may it wave!
