The Big Cheese

I can’t believe no one has added this little food stand to Unilocal yet! This is the best grilled cheese in town, no doubt. The Big Cheese has a stand at the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market (Saturday mornings) and also at the Webster Groves Farmer’s Market (Thursday afternoons). They need to get a store or food truck. I could eat it every day!
There are always two options: the traditional grilled cheese and the special. The special is different pretty much every week. Some examples of specials I’ve had:
— cheese (like cream cheese, forget the name), strawberries, honey and mint
— Blueberry compote and mozzarella
— Some other kind of cheese with blueberries and honey
Ok, so I’m bad about the names of the cheese, but they are all GOOD! ALL their products are local, including the bread (Companion) and cheese (Marcoot Creamery and one other dairy). Produce and add-​ons some from local farms.
I look forward to getting my breakfast sammie and coffee from Kuva (The Big Cheese’s neighbor) at Tower Grove Farmer’s Market. You order, pay, get a ticket, and then wait for your number to be called. 5 – 10 minutes later, viola! You get your sammie.
As a classically trained grilled cheese connoisseur, I give The Big Cheese TWO THUMBS UP!
