Fairly convenient Subway located between Supplement Superstore and Dierbergs! What more could you ask for? Unfortunately, I am not a fan of breads and rarely have Subway cravings but the times I have been here have been great! The people are always so attentive and from overhearing conversations with other clients, it seems like they know how to treat their customers right. I usually get the same sub: turkey breast, double the meat with spinach, tomatoes, and onions, oil & vinegar and a tiny dash of salt and pepper all on wheat. Even after the extra meat, this place is still great for a cheap and easy lunch. They offer quick and friendly service and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else whenever I have a craving for a sub. Plus, I can do my grocery shopping and grab something for lunch. How perfect is that?

SUBWAYBREAKFAST When Subway announced they were going to offer breakfast, I didn’t think that sounded quite right. They had always been just a regular sandwich place to me. I couldn’t picture them having eggs and hash browns at the ready nor could I picture it being quite as fast and convenient. But I have changed my mind. They have this great $ 3 Breakfast Combo. I get my choice of 36″ sandwiches(mine is the Bacon Egg & Cheese), my choice of regular egg or egg white(egg white is pretty good), my choice of cheese(American for me), and whatever toppings or sauces(spinach w/salt-pepper) plus a 21-oz soft drink for $ 3 flat! Sometimes, I upgrade to a 32-oz, and that might cost me another 50c. Not to mention, I have tons of low-calorie options here and healthy vegetables to fill out my sandwich if I so desired. This location is right next to the Hwy 64⁄40&170 intersection, and I can usually get in and out of there in under 5 mins.

Your standard Subway. I’ve never had any problems with the quality of the food or getting the order correct. The problem I always have is that it takes forever to order and get your food. I eat here about three times a month. Usually between noon to 5pm and every time it seems they are way under staffed. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen more than two employees working. But the worst has to be a time I spent twenty minutes in line while one person made everybody’s sandwich and had to ring them out too. All the while a second employee was just sitting behind the little divider to the kitchen typing away on the computer. I will and do still go to this Subway, but only if I know I have an hour to spare.

Standard Subway fare, but I have to admit the service at this location is a caliber above the rest. Very polite and friendly! Also, I like that they’re trying to introduce new items(EX: breakfast sandwiches, crispy chicken, …) and the varying monthly featured $ 5 sub(for September ’11, it’s the turkey & black forest ham). All they need to do is add to their staid list of ingredients(think mushrooms, cream cheese, sprouts, etc) and they might become a real contender again.

Convenient for lunch when I forget my little brown bag or don’t want to eat what I’ve brought. Fast and friendly service. My go-to is a 12-inch cold cut combo on wheat, double meat, double cheese, all toppings, a dollop of light mayo and lots of spicy mustard. I cut it into three or four slabs, and that’s how many meals it lasts. Pretty thrifty! And for those who don’t know, the cold cut combo is ham, salami and bologna — BUTGETTHIS — they’re all turkey-based!!! Can you spell h.e.a.l.t.h.y.
