I will no longer patronize Rehab due to the NUMEROUS accounts of blatant racism towards black patrons!!! 1. A friend paid for four rap songs on the iTunes Juke Box — 2 were allowed to play and the 3rd was cut about 30 secs into the song; of course the 4th was never to be heard as the track was switched over to a Justin Timberlake mix. There was a live DJ on the patio, which is really cool, however, said DJ was completely unwilling to mix in music that might appeal to the black MAJORITY crowed!!! 3. Several of my well educated and properly mannered Black young professional friends exchange similar stories of experienced prejudice at the hand of this establishment.

Great happy hour during the week. Along with lunch specials. Dollar drafts of Budweiser products!

Great place for a drink, but if you want food make sure you have lots of extra time. The kitchen always works slow and it takes 30+ minutes to get your food.

Had back to back bad experiences on Friday & Sat nite of Pride weekend. When you’ll think they’ll try to make everybody feel comfortable but I guess that’s not the case if you are black. The bartenders only will serve the black people only if no ones white is waiting. After been looked over for 15 to 20 minutes my girlfriend move to the other end of the bar to get waited on and because she spoke on it she moved to the other side he’s tells the other bartender not to wait on her either. So I took my complaint to the owner were I was just told to go to a different area to get a drink… really. No apology or anything. I also don’t think they even address it. The next nite after 40 waiting at the bar another bartender tell her she need to wait her turn… really…after 40 minutes. No I think after he serves all the white first that’s what he reall wanted to say. I personally think they prejudice and don’t really care if we came in there. Just see for urself!

This used to be the bar to go to, however it has become the bar not to go to… Very low class people and somewhat seems like a bar in an unfriendly neighborhood… I used to frequent this bar more than twice a now I only come here when I am meeting with people… Such a shame, the owners are pretty good people.

Fried chicken, cornbread, Dieta’s FAMOUS11-cheese mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, southern style greens, and more! 2-piece, 4-piece, or «All You Can Ea!» options! To Go’s welcome! We came here on a Saturday night for the drag show. the show started at 9pm, we arrived about 830. parking is five bucks in the lot next door. the patio area is nice and large. the show was ok, seemed very unorganized and the music system kept crackling and it sucked. we have better drag shows at home in Cincy. the inside bar area is very small. good music and drinks. the bathrooms were rustic and about 89 degrees. we had a great time but would probably try to find a different gay bar next time

Fun place to enjoy a drink or listen to music. There’s DJ’s Thursday — Saturday, and a jukebox is in place for your music needs when there isn’t a DJ working. They have tasty food. The kitchen hours are different from the bar hours, so you may want to pay attention to the kitchen hours depending on what night you are going and when you would like to get food. Rehab is in the grove, so it is a gay bar, but they welcome all who have a positive attitude and respect for others, regardless of who they are. Tip: keep the good energy flowing and leave your drama /BS at home, and you’ll have a great time. Rehab doesn’t want you to bring your problems, unless they involve a desire for you to be served alcohol. That is one problem the staff can easily fix. Bar staff are friendly and do their best to get drinks to you quickly even when the bar is slammed. I did see another review on here that appeared quite fictitious, so make your own decision about whether or not to go to Rehab, not based on the feelings of an idiot who probably was asked nicely to leave for causing problems and refused.

A spacious LGBT bar with plenty of open space and options to drink. There were not many people keeping into consideration that it was a Friday night. Just a few performers in the open area and it was over.

I have heard some things about Rehab, both good and bad. For the most part, I think the owner, Jim, has cleared up a lot of negativity that surrounded this estabishment since he took ownerhship recently. I came here for my birthday and I admit, I was a bit annebriated before I arrived, but I did notice a lot of positive aspects of this club. The bartenders are pretty nice looking. And they can put on an awesome drag show on a weekend. In addition, I got to have my picture taken by columnist and activist, Chris Andoe. Awesome birthday, thanks to Rehab!

They tried to make me go to Rehab… The Grove is wonderful, grand place, especially if you’re a confident gay man or woman ready to let YOU be known. The options are pretty wide in the this area, and Rehab might be one of your destination. Rehab has had its fair share of problems, things that are not necessarily appropriate to address in a public forum. However, even as a straight man, I feel as though I need to at least say a few kind words for this establishment. Things have gotten better. I remember my first few visits to Rehab and being utterly uncomfortable and disappointed. They’ve cleaned up the atmosphere quite a bit, and it’s actually a pretty decent place for both gay and straight people to hang out. When married, I inherited a plethora of gay mens, and Rehab is always on the agenda when we hit the Grove. I am not at all ashamed to say that I have had fun here. I have been to the karaōke night a few times and given my best Gloria Gaynor impression! They have some decent drink specials, and the bartenders are much better than they’ve been in the past. If anything, Rehab has been a huge part of my acceptance and understanding of the gay culture. Being raised Catholic and conservative, I had to warm to this lifestyle, and I proud to say that Rehab and the neighboring gay bars have helped in my betterment. If it’s been a while, give Rehab another try. It might be a good night out.

This is my Cheers! A neighborhood bar on a corner in the Grove. This establishment is a gay bar but is heterosexual friendly. Their hours are 11:00 am to 3:00 am. Anything you want is right here… good HEALTHY drinks, large selection of beer and spirits, EXCELLENT food(lunch, dinner and late night meals and munchies), darts, pool table, entertainment(Drag Shows, Karoke, Tournaments, Live Music, and on and on). The staff, the entire staff from the owners to the bartenders to the cleaning crew are each and every one stellar. I love a place where I am so catered to that when I go somewhere else(which is never) I am miffed when my Brandy and Seltzer isn’t tenderly shaken one time, or the bar-keep dares to not stir my drink and remove the straw. This place and these people have turned me into a high maintenance drinker and I do so love being pampered. During the summer there is an over-the-top soul singer Silky Sol The Red Afro Queen who performs on the patio every Friday night. She does all the great oldies and then some. They have an amazingly talented Drag Show at 11:00 pm on Saturdays. Some Sundays they have other musical guests who rock the patio. During the week they have DJ’s that play 80’s and 90’s music and Karaōke. The food… just thinking about their Chicken, Bacon Ranch Wrap makes my mouth water. They have great everything… appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, salads, a daily special with 2 sides for only $ 6.95 and other stuff… really, really good stuff. If you catch it on the right Sunday sometimes they have free buffets with their entertainment. Seriously if you get in the neighborhood, or even if you’re not in the neighborhood but are in the mood for a really, really good time with excellent cuisine and totally fun people and things to do this is the place to be!!! Be sure and tell them Vicki sent you… they will know who you are talking about.

Small but steady crowd. No attitude like other bars and always a fun time. The crowd isn’t pretty and a few look homeless. But if you just want to get drunk without worrying about changing clothes this is the place for you!

Hmmm a good, solid one star review. Well they have working front doors. And a floor. Lots and lots signs«reminding«u this particular bathroom is not for meth. Knew I should have stopped by my herion dealer in the lot. Plus they have a lot. Minus it’s not uncommon to have ur car stolen, or u getting murdered They seem to shuffle other bar castaways to work there or pretend they own it with Rothschild I possible plus is u can can seemingly go it at any time day or not and get french onion soup or braised lamb shank. nothing says yummy food like old bears in a circle opening cold capsels in bulk onna Sunday afternoon

gay area in stl! can’t believe i’ve never been… until now. having visited the gay neighborhoods in many an american city– dallas, san diego, memphis, kansas city, hobart, indiana… i’ve had quite a range of experiences. this was one of the few times i have been to a gay bar outside of chicago where there was NOT a drag show.(although the music made me feel like i was at one.) and while i do enjoy a good drag show, that’s usually not what i’m in the mood for. so, rehab… why such low reviews? i’ve got nothing against you! i think if i lived here, i would come back. –nice bartenders– check. my girlfriend wanted a shlafly’s, since it’s local, but since rehab doesn’t have that, the bartender recommended another local beer. magic hat. :) –cheap beer, and i do mean cheap. $ 3 drafts, and i think that’s regular price. cha-ching!(i guess that’s the sound of more money staying in my wallet.) –cheap and tasty food. definitely nothing fancy, though. –dart board– woot. –mixed crowd and very comfortable, casual atmosphere. –upbeat music– not always exactly my taste, but good for cultivating an energetic environment. –and the kicker… smoking indoors!
