Love, love and love. The pizza was excellent, the service was great and ambiance was very inviting. I went with my grandchildren and felt the place was very kid friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a really late review… The pizza here is fantastic and I love the gluten free pizza thin crust, nice topping-sauce-crust ratio. So nice they have gluten free and vegan options. The highlight was the desserts, the chocolate skillet cake is a MUST. It comes out hot with a side of caramel which sizzles and transforms the cake into a heavenly gooey sweet mess. I would absolutely come back for more.

My family of four visited on a Saturday. Absolutely no waiting and we were seated at a table outside. I honestly thought it was kinda odd that this restaurant was not«booming» on a nice Saturday evening. I ordered a mojito. Blehhhhhh and so yuck! Was a small glass and total waste of money. Next we ordered wings. Delicious dry rub flavor. Then we ordered a large deep dish Southside classico. Was good. I loved the cornmeal crust. The staff was pleasant.

Came here with some friends for pi day and just noticed I hadn’t reviewed them. Honestly it was my first time having pizza that made me feel like it was an experience. The crust is as delicious as the toppings. It can be kind of pricey, but it is delicious and so worth it.

I came here specifically for the vegan pizza. The server accidentally served us a non-vegan pizza. When her mistake was pointed out, she was rude about the error. Luckily I did not have a food allergy(just a very strong preference) or it would have been a real rough night. I understand mistakes but the server was very rude, especially for a place that literally serves vegan pizza.

Amazing food, great drink selection, and phenomenal service! We went on a Thursday for lunch and got the East Loop pizza. So delicious, and the corn crust was nice and light for a deep dish style pizza! They ended up messing up our order(left something on we didn’t want), so the waitress had the kitchen make a new one and came out almost immediately. The manager ended up halving the pizza price(and let us keep the bad one) and even knocked off some of our drinks! He definitely didn’t need to do all of that for one little mistake. Even without the great service, we will definitely be back for the pizza!

Great service, waitress was friendly and very helpful. Did not like the pizza, lacked flavor, not enough meat on the pizza and it drowned in tomato sauce. I came for the pizza, so I was disappointed. Other than that, their service, drinks and setting was great!

Our experience was very good. Love the pizza! Please keep the awesome pizza coming! We ordered the Maplewood Deep Dish and the Hill Thin Crust. The Maplewood is so delicious and unique. Everyone loves it. But the Hill is a little too salty and sour. Will not order it next time. The service is very good. Everyone is so warm and friendly. Definitely recommend this pizzeria to my friends!

Pizza was ok but the server was awful. I can only have gf pizza so we ask the server what would be a good combination because of the gf crusts she made it so awkward and said we are known for deep corn crust. We we told her I have allergies to gluten then she looked at us funny. No help at all us. She made us feel super uncomfortable. Pizza took forever and when she came to check on us we told her we barely have any cheese she told us that how we make it here . No respect dietary needs and after paying $ 52 for two 12in pizza and dirty looks from server we will never go back.

FANTASTIC! Great atmosphere and great salad and pizza flavors! They even had gluten free pizzas and desserts. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was a little pricier than I expected. $ 40 for pizza, salad, and a milkshake. But it was right on the loop.

Came here with a friend while visiting Saint Louis and was not disappointed. I love New York style pizza, but I can appreciate a Chicago style pizza as well. This one was very good, not too heavy on the cheese or sauce and was surprisingly light. I hate when it’s just an overload of cheese and crust, but this was perfect and everything tasted fresh. Service was excellent… I think people came to fill our water glasses like 5 times and when they dropped the check it was picked up almost immediately. They have a good selection of drinks as well, but the pizza is obviously the main attraction here. If I’m ever back in Saint Louis I’ll definitely be getting dinner here one night.

SOGOOD. I can’t attest to sitting in because I just ordered pizza for takeout, but the staff was really friendly. We ordered The MAPLEWOOD. The ingredients, as from their website: mozz, spicy sausage, cherry pepper, fontina, basil. YOUGUYS. I haven’t stopped thinking about that pizza since. We ate it with fresh basil on top and it was SOOOOOOO good. So good. It was the perfectc balance of ingredients, and it was nice and chewy and full of flavor. Pricing is on the higher end for pizza, but that’s what I’ve come to expect when quality is on the table. We found parking across the street, but being in the Loop there is a variety of street and small lot parking. I can’t wait to try it again!

This was a very good place. They had Pi glasses with the first 10 digits or so of Pi as well as the Greek letter written on opposite sides of the glass. The server was very good & always seemed to be on top of things. I had the Kirkwood Deep Dish Pizza, Large Size. It was so filling that the portion I ate(5⁄8 of the pie at 2:30pm +/-) filled me for the rest of the day. I finished it the next morning at breakfast. The cheese was baked in really well & the crust was very crisp. I definitely want to return to try their other items.

We ordered the Pi Squares and a Western Addition Deep Dish. We weren’t sure what to expect with the Pi Squares but they were very good and the sauce they came with was rich and«meaty» with thick tomatoes. We agreed the Pi Squares would be even better fried! The pizza was very flavorful! The small size was perfect for two people. The cornmeal crust was a bit soggy because we took too long before we got to the pizza part of our meal — put there was still some cornmeal crunch to it. Service was friendly. Outside seating on a beautiful day, perfect! We’ll be back!

Large space, outdoor seating, take-out special counters, and a full bar. But the reason why you come here is for the Deep Dish Pizza with cornmeal dust. And as a east coaster, I was told to never like this crazy Deep Dish stuff –especially with cornmeal. But, it’s very solid here. This isn’t Chicago, but it does it justice. But if you can’t bear the Deep Dish, the thin crush is delicious too. Pros: 1) Billy Goat Chips, yes chips and ask for the spice and powdered sugar 2) Large large Pies. Please please share. All the pies are names after the local areas. 3) Huge fan of the Bucktown and I’m not a fan of the Delmar. It’s a little heavy if that is what you are going for. 4) HH specials from 3−6pm Cons: 1) Pi Squares aka Hot Pocket Kale Pizza bites. It just doesn’t work for me.

I hate, Hate spending more than $ 12 on lunch. I work walking distance to some really great places to eat and I also HATE having to get in my car to go anywhere. So I go to the places that are close. Today, I traveled over to Tavolo knowning I wasn’t going to appreciate the price tag. But despite Unilocal telling me they were open… They were not. So I stumbled into PI hoping they’d have some lunch specials or deals of some kind. They do not. Just a water and a small pizza set me back over $ 21. Normally I would be pretty upset. But that thin crust pizza was nearly perfect. I had a half«Grove» half«Maplewood». Forget all about the Maplewood, it was good but its what ended up being left overs. The Grove on the other otherhand was a perfectly spicy masterpiece. The Grove according to the menu is: mozz, sopressata, red chile, oregano, spicy tomato sauce. It was perfect. I ate far more than I thought I would and aren’t terribly upset with the pricetag. Wish this location had a lunch menu, lunch specials and maybe a few sandwiches or pastas to offer. I would be back much more frequently.

So what would happen if you had the St Louis hipster’s take on Deep Dished pizza? Well you have St Louis’s 1st official landmark hipster restaurant Pi. Now this isn’t Giordano’s by a long shot. Giordano’s is a nice pizza restaurant a blue collar family can go to for a great pizza. Pi is the $ 12 Starbucks– no milk add soy, mini cooper car driving, I’m a techie, place you go for great pizza. See the difference. Well let’s take a closer look: 5⁄5: Large Western Addition: Instead of using flour dough Pi uses a cornmeal crust which is actually great. It’s always prepared just the way I requested it … light on the sauce. The chesses are wonderfully married with the spinach, mushroom, onion and garlic. While not as filling as a normal Deep Dish, I did have one or two slices to take home.(Normally, with a regular large Deep Dish from Giordano’s I have about 4 pieces to take home) If you’re a lover of deep dished pizza like me, then Pi is the place for great hipster deep dished pizza while in St Louis!

Even our salad was amazing. Super thin carrot and pickle slices. I’ve never seen that before. Great dressing as well. Will definitely be back for more!

Pi makes my absolute favorite pizza. Nothing beats their corn meal crust deep dish! It is so good, when I want pizza, I am willing to pay the extra charges to have it delivered by Postmates even though I could get a less expensive pie closer to home.

The pizza and the drinks here were amazing. We are from Chicago but came to St. Louis on 4th of July weekend(2015). We sat outside because we had our dogs with us and the staff was very cool with it. They went out of their way to find us a good seat. We ordered the Central West End(no onions though) and we had it with the deep dish crust(because we’re from Chicago, duh). Pizza was a-maz-ing! We loved it and we were so happy we had some to take back to the hotel! For drinks we had a few Broken Saints. This drink was so good, we tried to re-create it at home and so far, no luck. I wish we could remember our waiter’s name but he was awesome too. He walked us through the menu, gave us some tips and recommendations, etc… We are definitely coming back here when we return to St. Louis!

Thought this place was just ok. The sauce was pretty bland. There was only a thin layer of cheese on the deep dish pizza that did not balance out all the sauce. The wings were pretty good.

Tasty pizza! A bit pricey, though. The Southside Clasico is my favorite, and I love how they provide a whole clove of roasted garlic with the garlic bread. I always try to save some to put on my pizza. I have been here multiple times with a variety of sevice. I have walked out of this location before because no one ever came to wait my table. Usually, the service is okay.

I was skeptical about getting the Delmar, a BBQ pizza, but it was REALLY good – despite looking kind of like a flattened taco(yellow cheese, and bell peppers, and cilantro). I got this in thin crust, which was sort of flat bready, not quite NY-style thin crust(I’m morally opposed to deep dish). Sitting outside was very pleasant. I say that in all of my reviews now, because it’s June and I love the outdoors. I think this place is overpriced for the portions. The only thing I would not recommend is the chips and dip appetizer: it’s 8 $ for a bag of potato chips with a cup of mayonnaise.

I’ve been to their Delmar Loop and CWE locations, so this review can swing at either one of those. No words can explain how awesome their pizza is. This is the best place in St. Louis to get deep-dish pizza. Made from the finest ingredients. Both places have a great atmosphere and service, and you will leave the place with a smiley face!

I’ve tried deep dish pizza in Chicago, as well as deep dish pizza in my home state of California. Pi’s pizza encompassed the aspects that I like from each deep dish pizza I’ve tried in the past. The cheese to tomato ratio perfect here(sometimes deep dish pizza is comparable to drinking a can of tomato sauce), and I liked that we were able to order a half/half pizza and try 2 flavors. We had leftovers, and they were still equally as delicious when we heated them up a few hours later. I can see why this is Obama’s favorite pizza!

Amazing atmosphere and food! I just adore this place. It can be pretty loud in there but it has a very warm and intimate vibe. We didn’t get an appetizer this time around but I have had their hummus on s previous visit and it’s delicious. We did have wine(a moscato) and that was very nice. As for pizza, we chose a customizable pizza. We went with chicken and jalapeños on a thin crust but they have a TON of different options. The pizza was amazing! Ioved how crunchy the crust was. Our waitress was kind of odd but overall I enjoyed my experience here.

I am in love with this place and I try to visit every time I am in Saint Louis. It’s just so, so good. Today’s visit was not an exception. The husband and I have some time to kill and end up in Delmar, hungry. We make our way into Pi and are promptly sat by a friendly hostess, and greeted by an equally friendly server. They’re both like — genuinely — friendly, too. I worked in the service industry for long enough to recognize fake friendly, and this wasn’t it. They’re genuinely good people. We can’t decide on what to eat, so we opt to split two small pizzas. He orders the thin crust Central West End, topped with mozzarella, prosciutto, grape tomatoes, goat cheese, red onion and arugula. I ordered a deep dish Kirkwood, with the meatballs, red pepper and basil, topped with extra mozzarella. Both were totally on different ends of the pizza spectrum, and both were delicious. There are a lot of things to like about Pi. Their commitment to environmental responsibility. Their support of local businesses. The general kick-ass nature of their food. I had once heard a rumor that Pi was coming to Kansas City, I sure wish they would. They’re just fantastic.

Nothings all that new here, I still love Pi! There deep dish is to die for and the crust is what makes it so special. Seriously, I could eat this crust as meal. It has sooo much flavor. Only, I do have to come out and say it. I don’t think Pi makes very good drinks… at all. The last couple times I’ve tried something new. The Sangria and their most popular drink which name I can’t remember. It’s lemony and has a lot of basil. Vague, I know, but you’ll notice it since it’s one of a very short list. The sangria is «meh», which I mentioned earlier, but the basil drink is even worse. I guess when you pay $ 8 – 10 for a cocktail in St. Louis you expect something kind of a decent. That’s the bane of living in a cheap city. Pro tip: Stick to beer w/pizza!

This is a semi harsh review but only because I’m all for Chicago deep dish and anything else I get I compare it to Lou’s pretty much. First the waiter came in and he was really helpful with the menu. It’s convenient how you can mix and match pizzas and the gf and I ended up getting half bucktown half south side classico deep dish. My choice was the bucktown and that was based off of other reviews and what the waiter recommended. I personally didn’t like it, but I’m not too big on vegetables. It was loaded with olives and onions, which were fresh, just not my style and I would have liked more chicken. I did like the tomato sauce though, that was fresh tasting too. I also liked the pesta part of the south side pizza. Good taste there too. But yeah, good pizza for St Louis though. It’s about $ 20 for a 9 inch deep dish, which is about 6 small slices. I also got the bread sticks appetizer but you can skip that. It’s just bread with a butter and olive oil mix. Then they give you a garlic bulb which you can use to spread on your bread if you wanted more garlic taste. whole thing was meh to me.
