I confess that I don’t entirely get the concept of take and bake pizza. My son kept asking«I don’t get it, why they can’t bake it there?» I don’t know, I don’t get it either. That being said, it’s near us and I decided to try it out. I walked in and ordered our pizzas there. They had some smaller pizzas and salads already put together. I had a coupon but it looks like they had a deal where you can sign up for texts and get discounts. Everyone was very friendly. I ordered two pizzas and took them home to bake. Both were delicious. The plain cheese was enjoyed by the kids and I really liked the one I got with Italian sausage and sun-dried tomatoes. I’ll be back!

Friends reviews of another location alerted me to this place. I’d heard of it and seen commercials but never lived near one. So when I heard one was opening close to my house AND it was time for pizza night, I called in my order and picked it up on my way home. They were ready for me — a cheese pizza(pan) and a stuffed Chicago. There was a small hiccup in that the credit card machine wasn’t working but they got it fixed quickly(were on the phone with someone troubleshooting). Got home and popped them into the oven. The directions were clear except we weren’t 100% sure to leave the cardboard under the stuffed pizza or not so we called(and we were supposed to leave it). We were impressed with the results, especially with how the pan pizza turned out! I wouldn’t expect to get a crust like that at home. The pizzas were enjoyed and brought us leftovers. Were good heated up too. We will be regular customers I’m sure.

Papa Murphy’s is the newest addition to the Market at McKnight – for a few days, at least. Lucky’s Market opens August 19. That’ll be another review. Tonight was my first visit EVER to ANY Papa Murphy’s location. It was bright and clean inside with friendly employees. This location was tiny, but it doesn’t need to be very big. There’s no dining in at Papa Murphy’s. It’s a «take ‘n’ bake» place, meaning you take your food home and bake it in your own oven. They were offering a special: $ 6 one-topping large pizzas. The husband and I opted for a pepperoni pizza on thin crust. The total was $ 6.27. Cheap date. The pizza was made right in front of us and was completely enveloped in a large sheet of plastic wrap for easy transport. Their pizzas actually are made on one-time-use, oven-ready paper pans, so you won’t need to transfer your pie to your own pan at home. Just follow the instructions you receive. The thin crust pizzas bake at 425 F for 12 – 18 minutes on the lowest rack in your oven, at least 5″ above the heat source. We baked ours for about 18 minutes, and it was delicious. Though, it was GAF. Greasy as eff. That’s probably why it was so delicious! The main disadvantage for me is purely personal. I like to go out for pizza. I’m not incredibly fond of the idea of going out for pizza, buying an uncooked pizza, bringing it home, waiting for the oven to preheat, and then waiting for my pizza to bake. On the other hand, how lazy am I? Someone made a fresh pizza for me, and I can’t drive home and stick it in the oven. I mean, it was pretty damn good.
