Always try to get back to Dewey’s when I’m back in St. Louis. This was my first pick-up pizza though from them. They were all but closed down and still served me my pizza and made me feel welcomed. I can’t remember the name, but just request the pizza with white sauce, spinach, and sliced tomatoes and they’ll get you what you need.

Dewey’s is always consistently good. We frequent it often. We usually get a Bronx bomber and a Hawaiin pizza and they have a great Caesar salad. We add chicken to the salad for a reasonable up charge. It’s definitely more expensive than a national chain, but the ingredients taste fresh, and the crust is, simply put airy yet chewy. One thing I love is that it’s not in the least bit greasy. I almost feel healthy eating it. Ha! Its a very family friendly place so my husband tween, baby, and myself feel comfortable. We love Dewey’s!

Their BBQ pizza is our favorite! Best pizza we’ve had in STL. So much better than Pi.

Love, love, LOVE their pizza! Best crust ever and nice employees. I am always satisfied — I tried Doughocracy last night and I regret that. Service and friendly employees go a long way! So does quality pizza. :)

Deweys is one of my favorite pizza places in St Louis. Before I begin, I want to praise our waiter Adam. He is by far the best waiter I have had at Deweys! He didn’t rush our party to order, provided useful recommendations and split our check without complaint! The pizza is great and you can do half and half of any toppings. Lots of people talk about the pizza here so I wanted to focus on the salads and calzones. The salads are really awesome. They have five or so options and usually have a seasonal salad. The greek salad is great, even though i don’t like cucumbers. I like the 8 dollar calzones with three toppings. They are very large and come with either red or white sauce. Try dipping them in some ranch dressing. Deweys can be busy on weeknights and weekends, so you may have to wait, but they are going to be on the no wait app soon. There is a TV with sports on but don’t expect to watch the game here.

An exemplary pizza chain. Highly efficient, friendly staff, quality pizza ingredients, and reasonable prices. It’s definitely in my Top-3 pizza options for STL.

I ordered a pizza from here the other night and it was pretty good. I would have to say that it is different than what I am supposed to because of how the toppings were cut. The sausage was cut into circles, almost like they have sausage links and cut them up. The green peppers and onions were not chopped fine or into smaller pieces, they were in longer thin pieces like shoe strings. This is not a bad thing, just something I am not used to. The pizza is good and I would order from here again.

Best pizza in STL maybe, but not going to hold up against better pizza spots in other big cities(Seattle, SF, NYC… etc). I tried the Bronx bomber, aka kinda like a supreme pizza with veggies and meats. I agree with a lot of people that the crust is great, but the rest of the pizza was nothing special. Environment is family friendly and there are some good beers on tap also but this isn’t a pizza which I would seek it out if in STL.

I have heard and read many good things about this place. I have been wanting to try their pizzas. Finally I got in the mood for pizza last week, so my boyfriend and I decided to order Togo. Their pizzas were okay. It wasn’t that good at all. My boyfriend picked up Green Lantern, Hawaiian, Pepperoni Calzone, and our specialty that we came up with. The pizzas looked great but it was so dry. I guess it was too overcooked.

Not the best pizza ive ever had(ive had ALOT of pizza) but it was pretty good. Food arrived as promptly as it was hot and fresh, staff was attentive and menu was reasonably priced. We kept it simple with a large cheese pizza and the house beer that I believe was named the«Dewbrew», maybe. Anyways pizza was super hot and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Im not a beer fan normally but I really enjoyed their DewBrew. It was a week nite and late dinner time. A children’s bday party was going on at the tables next to us but they were polite and not at all bothersome since I didn’t expect much ambiance wise from a pizza place. I would say its worth trying this place put and I plan to return and try a specialty pizza myself.

The absolute best pizza in St. Louis! I am extremely picky when it comes to food(according to the hubs), but I could eat Dewey’s every single day. Sometimes, I’ll eat a whole pizza by myself… It… is…just…so…darn…good! Their salads are huge, even the ½ sized. Their pizza toppings are always fresh. We normally get half red sauce with buffalo chicken, and the other half white sauce with spinach. It is literally heaven in your mouth! Employees are super friendly! Can be crowded certain times, but it is very well worth the wait!

When I think of pizza, I think of Deweys! I have tried all the pizza joints in town and nothing beats this place. The peppercorn salad is a great way to start. I love love love their buffalo chicken pizza(inferno). It is to die for. Their crust is so flakey and soft. Whenever I’m in the mood for pizza, this is my place.

So underwhelmed… perhaps not fair, since my husband and I are from the great pizza city of CHICAGO. We ordered the Bronx Bomber: pizza couldn’t have been skimpier on cheese, sausage, pepperoni(we counted only two or three micro-thin slices of sausage or pepperoni per piece) and SAUCE, of all things! We literally asked the waitress if the kitchen had forgotten it. The pizza was served lukewarm which didn’t help.

I am a pizza lover down to the very depth of my bones. Tonight was our first trip here and I’m happy to say it lived up to all of the hype! We got the Greek salad, which was more unique tasting then traditional Greek salads, but still every bit as yummy. We got 1 giant pizza and I loved that we could do half and half pizzas(even with different sauce combos!) because we love trying new concoctions and mixing and matching flavors. Both halves that we got had the white sauce, I wish we would have substituted and tried red, but it was still good considering. The ingredients all tasted super fresh, which was a bonus to me as I’m not a fan of over processed ingredients. The restaurant was very clean, and the service was great. Our cups stayed full throughout the entire meal and our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. While it’s more than I like spending on pizza, it was still reasonably priced. Dewey’s — we will be back!

I live nearby and this place is always very busy. Many of my friends love their pizza. Maybe I’m pickier, growing up on the east coast. While their sauce and toppings are tasty, I am not a fan of their crust. I also find the salads quite ordinary. I prefer Crushed Red’s flatbreads, Pi’s crust or Racanelli’s authentic pizza.

We ordered the Caesar salad, Greek salad, and Deluxe/Supreme pizza and everything was amaze. The veggies were fresh. Crust perfect. Cooked to perfection. I had Pizza Hut a few days ago(gross) and this was sooooo refreshing and delicious in comparison. My mom even gave it a thumbs up and she is tough to please when it comes to pizza. Will be coming back for more

Pork-a-palooza was our theme for the night. Waited 10 mins or so during a rush, not a bad wait at all as the were so busy. Started with a side salad and then ordered the 17″ half Hawaiian and half special which was the Cuban! Hawaiian was great as expected but the Cuban was really amazing. I am glad we only got half Cuban because the mustard sauce was good but would have been too much had it been a full pizza. Only reason why I didn’t give a 5 was the crust was a bit undercooked… perhaps a bit harsh to deduct a star for crust but hey… can’t win um all.

What a great experience! We went to the one around Clayton(we are new here so I’m not sure of the specific area, U City?). I love that parking is spacious and free outside the restaurant. We started with the peppercorn ranch salad(like a BLT salad) — delicious. I can’t wait to go back for this. we split a small pizza — half Bronx bomber and half of a special taco pizza. We both preferred the Bronx bomber. The pizza is NY style and the crust tastes different than most pizza places. We will definitely go back soon!

Been going here since college back in 2011 and absolutely loved their pizza! Everything is made fresh, which makes the dough extra chewy and adding texture. Recommended toppings are green lantern, and be sure to check out the specials!

Our first experience and it was delicious! We ordered a large pepperoni and a small Green Lantern –both were very good. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a little loud but they were busy. Only suggestion would be to expand the appetizer menu

I love Dewey’s. Out of ALL the pizza possibilities in this town. Dewey’s is my #1! My preferred location is the Webster Groves location due to its proximity to my house, but I recently found my way to this location due to it being close to where I was at the moment. All Dewey’s locations are completely consistent in terms of quality and service, and this was no different. Great food, great service. The pizza is amazing and salads are the best. PLEASE bring back the Harvest salad! I miss it so much in summer! I’ll be back again and again. Love it!

If you ask me or my girlfriend we’d say Deweys is the best pizza in the STL. Sometimes we just think about watching those people inside the glass windows all day just so that we can make the same dough. Just kidding, thats super-creepy. But seriously, the dough here is unlike any other, it has that extra fluff and is super-easy to roll slice after slice down your throat. The salads here are pretty great too, my favorite is the house-salad. For a party of four a full-size salad, a 17″ and a a 15″ pizza are more than sufficient and should leave you with a couple of slices for breakfast the next day. My favorite pizza here is the BBQ chicken, the other pizzas are pretty great too but we always end up saying«man, we should have got the BBQ chicken!»

OK St. Louis — let’s face it. You’re not famous for your pizza. Nor your beloved«cheese»(Provel). Yeah — you heard me. With that said, pizza lovers will not starve in the Gateway to the West. Dewey’s pizza has a thicker crust than the cracker crust St Louis is infamous for. They use mozzarella instead of Provel, too. So already things are looking good here. They have a wide range of pizzas — all tasty. Service is fast and takeout is available. You can even get partially baked pizzas which can be super convenient. Their crust falls somewhere between STL and NYC — soft but not too soft, with a bit of crunch. Not soggy(I will never understand why New Yorkers think pizza crusts should be soggy). Their crust is pretty good, but it never quite 100% does it for me. TLDR: solid pizza, good crust, real cheese, lots of choices, vegi friendly.

My friends and I like to eat out a lot. We went to Dewey’s a place I had never heard of and assumed it was just another pizza joint with nothing special about it. I was wrong. At first I was impressed by the service. The menu didn’t sound appetizing because I was used to a ‘normal’ pizza with some meat and veggies. We ordered two pizzas, they were so good that we ordered a third. The fruit and vegetables tasted fresh and the pizzas were full of flavor. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
