The miso soup and mango sticky rice is AMAZING! I was not impressed by any of their sushi rolls, they were very bland.

A very enjoyable experience. We tried Tom yum soup, green beans in red curry sauce and drunken noodles. The green beans was the star of the day, but the other two dishes were close in the race. The place was packed when we went on a Tuesday evening.

Very enjoyable meal with my wife and mother in law! We drove up from Mequite, Nevada on one of the windiest days I’ve ever experienced, to visit the Verizon store – a horrific experience(not the wind, the saleswoman who was like a used car salesman times 3) and felt we needed some good food, and more importantly, a drink. My wife and I – the vegans at the table, enjoyed a vegetable sushi roll each. They were really good and contained one of my favorite Asian pickles – the mouthwatering, golden colored takuwan. My mom-in-law had an eel roll which she loved. We also shared a seaweed salad which was really good and a very generous portion. We liked the sushi so much, we ordered another round all-around. Then my wife and I both ordered a ginger vegetable stir fry with brown rice which was delicious. I washed mine down with a tall Sapporo which really hit the spot. The females each had a glass of wine. This turned out to be an expensive luncheon indulgence – $ 120 or so out the door, but I was happy to fork out some pretty big moolah for such an enjoyable repast.

Pretty good food. I love their tom khai khai soup. I would get that every time and only that. A little pricy. But the soup is soups tasty!

I hear it’s really good for St George, but in the overall mix of Sushi and Thai restaurants I’ve tried in rural communities, towns, cities, and metropolitan areas; I would give this 3 stars. I wouldn’t say it was bad, I just wouldn’t say it was anything unique and standing out in the food genre of Sushi & Thai. Still give it a try… Cheers.

I’m a HUGE sushi fan… IF it’s fresh and made right! Benja’s has great sushi. I like some of their other food too. But, I find it annoying that when I want the all you can eat sushi for $ 25, I have to sit at the sushi bar… Makes it real inconvenient when I have my family with me and they don’t even order sushi. Because you can’t sit at a regular table and have the all you can eat sushi… you must sit at the bar. But, you can’t sit at the bar unless you are ordering the unlimited sushi… See what I’m saying!!! Kind of buzz killer when sushi is all you want! Otherwise, their food and service are good.

Fast turnaround from order to kitchen. Restaurant is hidden in an adorable historical setting. Lots to choose off the menu. Tempura calamari was great, the eel was delicious and the edamame was tasty as usual. Yum!

Our family of four had sushi at this place yesterday evening and enjoyed the food. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The server was a little inflexible, as she couldn’t substitute a side salad for the miso soup on a $ 25 sashimi combo. She was also a little rude and abrupt. Otherwise I wouldn’t hesitate to give five stars.

I fell in love with Tai food after Benja made me some Yummy Yellow Curry, spicy level 5 with chicken! My favorite! Their Tum Ka Soup is amazing!

I gave Benja’s a year or two to fix things, and I’m glad to say that they have. I have been there 3 or 4 times in the last month and it has been amazing every time. I recommend the spicy basil fried rice with chicken, cashew nut chicken, drunken noodles, and Mr. Burke roll.

We had many people tell us we had to try Benjas. Finally got my husband to go for an anniversary dinner. The location was lovely and the restaurant and menu were well set up with several gluten free options. However, our waiter was curt and very unattentive not just to us but to all of his tables. We had to hunt someone down in the back just to pay our bill after waiting half an hour at the end of our meal. The food was no better than Panda Express Chinese food and was presented with disdain by our waiter. I also got msg after effects from the Pad Thai. We will not be back! If you are looking for Thai food in St. George try Royal Thai Palace in Washington. The food is fresher. There is no gluten free options but if you don’t have that issue try there.

If you’re looking for Thai food, don’t come here. Now the food wasn’t terrible, but it was definitely a Thai fusion, with an emphasis on the fusion. We ordered tom yum soup, lettuce wraps, duck, cashew nut chicken, and the house noodles. The tom yum soup tasted like seafood broth. We got the soup with mixed seafood. The seafood was okay, but other than that, I’d stay away! The lettuce wraps were the best part of the meal. Tasted great and fresh, but definitely not Thai. The duck was dry and served in a pile of sauce. As was the cashew nut chicken. The house noodles looked like ramen noodles tossed with meat and veggies. And it tasted exactly the same. This place reminds me of a Chinese restaurant I’d pop into after a night of drinking. Not my fav!

Everyone I went with was fairly pleased. The Pad Thai was unique compared to most. However, may have preferred the traditional style peanut sauce. Didn’t get a chance to try their chicken satay which is a good way of judging their peanut sauce. Went to both restaurants. Their other had a half hour wait. So switched. I was disappointed because the restaurant I went to originally had at least 2 specials. One of which I would have ordered. The other didn’t offer any. So, it wasn’t great that they don’t offer the same.

I love Benjas. The Panang curry was definitely my favorite. I liked the pad Thai and sushi was good but not amazing. All around a great experience. They’re super packed on weekends so be aware.

Dear waitress, so lacking in personality that I cannot remember your name, not once in the three times you visited our table – taking our order, delivering the food, taking our bill – did you drop a simple thank you! We just finished eating at the restaurant. We were sat at the darkest, most unattractive table by the fire escape. We ordered the Drunken Noodle with beef, and the taste of the noodles made it obvious that they were not fresh but dried noodles probably from a grocery store box. We also ordered a spicy tuna roll, which was pretty bland. I ordered a glass of wine that was decent for $ 5, and would have liked another except the aforementioned dull waitress never bothered to ask whether anything else was wanted. Wish I could take this meal back!

Oh Unilocal, what would I do without you?! After a day of hiking at Zion National Park, the stomach was saying«feed me.» Since I wasn’t staying too close to Zion, the best strategy was to head towards the hotel. Luckily, St. George is a bigger town for the area. Thus, more diverse options. The location itself was a bit tricky to find, hidden in the backside of the mini plaza facing the small candy store. The restaurant was full of patrons on a Sunday with 30 minutes before closing time. Ended up with the pad thai(basic staple of any thai place) and pumpkin curry with edemame and sumono salad for apps. The pumpkin curry was really flavorful/creamy. The rice washed it down nicely. The pad thai was also flavorful and not too oily compared to other thai joints. The sumono salad was different than what I had pictured in my head, but tasty nonetheless. This place is better than some of the thai places in Los Angeles! Thanks Unilocal for a great suggestion when on the road!

I was in town for work, and Benja’s was recommended as the best bet for thai(and maybe the best bet for food, period) in the area. So I went! Ordered the Tom Khai Kai(quite tasty, really lovely flavor balance) and a green papaya salad(way too sweet, but fresh and perfectly edible.) I asked for 3⁄5 stars on spiciness for the salad and was served a dish about as spicy as a plain piece of lettuce, but nothing that asking for extra chili sauce couldn’t fix. Very prompt, friendly service, and limited side-eye considering that I was a lady dining alone(side eye for this is a thing! It’s true!) This is a four-stars-because-think-about-where-you-are kind of place– in a bigger city I’d rate it lower, but this is St. George and it was fresh and tasty and I have no particular complaints. Benja’s! For when you are in St. George… and want to eat actual food. Not a catchy slogan, but pretty much sums it up.

Food: — Crab wontons: 6 pieces, imitation crab pieces with cream cheese, and green onions wrapped in a wonton, then deep fried. There was a good amount of crab and cream cheese. The flavor was good. 4⁄5 — Pad Thai: Stir fried noodles with eggs, crispy tofu bits, bean sprouts, and green onions with a side of peanuts, carrots, and a slice of lime. The dish was a little on the sweet side but very tasty. Usually pad thai comes with shrimp, but we had to pay $ 2 extra for it. We did it anyway. It’s not the same without shrimp. 3⁄5 — Green curry with chicken: basil, green bell peppers, bamboo, peas, and carrots cooked with curry and coconut milk. The chicken was thinly sliced which allowed it to take in more flavor. I really enjoyed this dish. They give you an option of how spicy you would like it, from 1 – 5. I like a little heat to my food, so level 3 was perfect for me. 5⁄5 Service: We were greeted and quickly seated. Our waitress checked up on us a couple of times during our meal and our water was filled halfway through our meal without us asking for it. The employees here are very professional and attentive. 4⁄5 Final thoughts: I would definitely come back. I enjoyed everything we ordered. Good food and good service!
