So happy that there is finally a Lotte near my house! This location is super clean and has fresh produce. Love how affordable it is. It the old Safeway location right in front of the 495 exit on Braddock. Also they recently opened up and deli manju. Try their red bean fish bread(sounds weird but trust me it’s delicious). It is right next to the cosmetics corner. This is my «go to» place for Korean cosmetics. My experience at this cosmetics store is always on point. They know exactly what is needed to my sensitive skin. They take the time to really explain each product and it has been helping my skin glow, yay! Love this Lotte!

I was very saddened upon finding out that the Lotte near my house in Fairfax closed shop awhile back. Despite its griminess and limited parking, it held a special place in my life as it was one of the Asian grocery stores we frequented. So when it closed, I was all«otoke ?!» Thankfully, Lotte didn’t move too far. And with its move, it has only gotten better. The store is huge, twice the size of its former location! Plus, since it is brand spankin’ new, it’s also very clean. They’ve got all the groceries you need from fruits and veggies to fresh food, frozen dumplings, prepared/packaged food like kimchi and other banchans, sauces, rice, and more. There’s a wide variety of both Asian and non-Asian groceries here. They also have kitchenware and household items like bowls, chopsticks, aprons, etc. Lotte also has a cosmetics stand and a bubble tea/coffee/snack stand near the fruits and veggies section. There’s even a small restaurant/food court, Sang Rok Soo, located inside the market. You can order jjigaes, bibimbaps, galbi, and other entrees. Great spot for lunch or a quick dinner. I ate here for dinner once, and the service is super friendly. Food is decent too; I prefer the Korean restaurants in Annandale, but I could definitely come back for a fast and cheap meal. Conveniently located just off I-495 in the Ravenswood Shopping Center(home to Swiss Bakery and Pastry Shop, Hong Kong Express, and Kilroy’s).

This review is for Sang Rok Su. I ordered a champong for lunch. The gentleman at the cashier was very friendly. The spicy seafood noodle soup was ready in 5 min. The soup was very flavorful and the portion generous. I will definitely go back and try other items. My wife ordered a fried rice, it was not as flavorful.

FINALLY a Lotte near my house!!! I love coming here instead of the Hmart in Annandale now. I love that there is a little food court here. They also give samples on weekends(unabashedly love coming on weekends solely for this). The veggies are fresh and fairly priced. Fruit is okay, not a great great selection but it will do. The fresh seafood is usually very cheap so that is great. I enjoy coming here to buy salmon and tuna for sushi.

*** This is a review for the restaurant Sang Rok Soo located in the Lotte Market I came here for lunch. We ordered the Godeungeo– Gui with a bowl of Sundubu and Don Katsu. The fish was lightly pan fried and cooked on a hot small skillet. The Mackerel was delicious! Tender in the center, not to salty and the lemon gave it a little acid. The Sundubu had a lot of tofu, 1 large shrimp and small clams. The Don Katsu was fried perfectly. The pork inside was moist and not dry. Lunch was $ 20 for the 2 of us not bad considering all of the food we got with rice and ban chan. I’d definitely recommend lunch here. Food comes out quick, every thing is self serve and fresh.

Typical Asian Market. They cast away the hygienic appearance of modern/western retail food and cram the isles with food products stacked on the isle floors. Display is near 3rd world as crates and boxes are used for presentation of the goods rather than exclusively placed on shelves. The fish department smell permeates fully half of the market. Once in the fish area the stench is impressive. The seafood, like the sundries, are stacked in isles on ice some are displayed in live tanks. If you use your nose to select fresh, safe seafood you wont be selecting their fare here. Basically, they took the safeway that was here and doubled the food content by stacking food on the floors and in the isle and adding a haberdashery in the old flower section. I have a hard time believing they practice strict food safety handling for prepared foods given the state of the store overall. Produce looks fine and its cheap.

We stopped on a whim because my wife pointed out that they had Lotte in South Korea where we had been stationed. Sure enough it was everything she hoped for. They had her favorite kimchi, noodles, and all sorts of others foods she loved in Korea. After we got some groceries we stopped for food in the little café in the front. My wife has not stopped thanking me for delicious Korean food, thank you Lotte Plaza!

I frequent all the International grocery stores in nova. This market is brand new so it’s clean, the parking lot is large, but very much in use. No problems getting a spot here on busy weekend afternoons. The location is excellent, right next to 495 exit at Braddock. It’s cheaper than Hmart, very organized. LA Mart is cheaper. Come here for Korean, Japanese, Chinese ingredients, because it’s less money than Hmart. The fish is the best I’ve seen in the area. I’ve bought sushi grade fish here, and I honestly think it’s better than most area restaurants, slice it up yourself and save 90%. The Indian, Thai, and Latin ingredients are a bit sparse for those that cook frequently. The produce is on pare with everyone else, priced similarly.

We ate at Sang Rok Soo before going grocery shopping. Friendly service and easy to order even if you are not Korean.

I’m so happy that a Lotte Plaza opened up in Springfield! I was a little sad to hear that the old-school Fairfax one closed, but I’m glad one opened up that was a little bit closer! This chain has been around since ’76, and offers a variety of Asian/international groceries. They had a nice selection of fresh produce, packaged banchans, kimchi, Asian items, international goods, fresh meats, a nice little snack aisle, and even two little eateries in their mini food court. They also had some houseware/kitchenware items, such as large bowls, kimchi pots, and back scratchers: P Due to their recent grand opening, there were some great sales and deals going on, so I suggest in you stopping by to see what you can get your hands on. The hubs and I stopped by, and we stocked up on some gim(roasted seaweed), organic tofu, and Bacchus-D :P Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot! +recent grand opening +great sales/promotions +quick and efficient cashiers +located inside the Ravenswood Shopping Center

Convenient location just off 495. The market is VERY clean unlike some other Asian markets I’ve been too. It was quiet when I went so I was able to slowly browse through everything. A little food court of 2 vendors sits inside this little market. LOTS of Asian snacks to pick from. Shop and eat at the same time, I’m game for that!

For what it is — an Asian specialty store that won’t be a one-stop-shopping destination for most non-Asian consumers — it is excellent. Wonderful produce — some exotic Asian varieties, some very ordinary but much better quality than the local Giant. A big, exotic fish counter, with an emphasis on whole fish. Since I love trying new fish and don’t mind cooking whole fish, this has been a delight. One caution: communicating how you want the fish prepared(gutted, scored, etc.) can be challenging. But it’s almost always worked out for me. Fish and produce — that’s what I like at Lotte, and it’s working well for me.

It’s your typical Asian grocery store but with a mini food court in the front. Imagine fast food Korean and Japanese food, mainly sushi. Ordered the dolsot bibimbop and the kalbi dinner. Both came pretty quickly and is much less than other Korean restaurants. The kalbi was a little too sweet for my taste but still very tasty. Bibimbop comes with all the fixins and just as delicious. I can’t wait to try the jajangm eon and the beef bone soup. When I come back to town, this will be my first stop. Of course you can’t leave without buying some other exotic goodies.

First review, so I must state that I am not affiliated with this store in any way. Being an Asian guy, I ran out of rice and needed one of those giant bags. So my friend informed me that this grocery store opened up and I decided to check it out. They have their own restaurant inside, and there are no long checkout lines to deal with since they are well staffed. Wide selection of ethnic Asian food along with fresh beef, chicken, and seafood. Prices are reasonable. The ultimate test. I bought the Sashimi salmon on two separate occasions and did not get sick. Win!

Lotte just opened up near my parents’ house. Although there is a Giant and a Grand Mart(?) located nearby, the new Lotte is closest to the adjoining neighborhood, and it definitely brings the Asian necessities. We visited tonight, and the parking availability was fair, the store was organized, and everything seemed reasonably priced. There were a ton of food samples, comparable to that of Costco on a good day, or even H-Mart on the weekends. It has all of the staples: groceries, frozen food, a food ‘court’, to-go food items, cosmetics, the whole shebang. Everyone that I shortly interacted with there was pretty nice, too. It’s great to have a more fitting grocery store closer to home :) I gave it a 5 stars because I judge Asian grocery stores not by their prices, but also by the variety of their snack aisle and it’s definitely an A+.

New Asian supermarket in Springfield. Lots of yummy free food samples as you shop the aisles. Prices fair and food court area has a busy and fresh vibe. Parking is big but packed already. Very convenient, Lotte is right off the I-495 exit for Braddock Road.

Today(12÷19÷15) was the GRAND opening of the store. And seeing that it is considered an international store. it was SLAMMED! There were various cultures waiting in line to rush the doors and get their first look at the store. This store is the old Safeway store that closed down in the shopping centera few months back. If you have ever been to the other Lotte locations you should already know what to expect when coming here on the weekends. I gave this store a 4star based on its location. This new location in Annandale is smaller than the others but still had a great range of foods and groceries. They even have a fish market in the back of the store like the other locations. Its good that they built this location in Annandale because there was a need for another international food market other than H Mart up the street. I’m certain this location will profit well.
