Our food was top notch. The chef was fun and knew his stuff. I believe his name was Kyle Kellogg. The server TIA was worthless, she never refilled drinks she was a nasty acting person in general. As much as this business is bringing in the owner must be very greedy for not repairing the place. The chairs are falling apart, the carpet has holes in it and the HVAC ducts are covered in years of dirt and grime. It also concerns me that every table has a security camera aimed at it, makes a person wonder why they would need this. Very cheaply done with exposed wires very low class. I have been to much nicer places that are cheaper. My advice to the owner, spend some money and fix the place up, hire people that like people and get rid of those that drill holes in the boat that you are rowing

Great food with large portions, makes this the best Japanese Steakhouse in Springfield. Unfortunately the wait staff sometimes brings the experience down. Maybe they have them strung out all over the place, but management needs to get it figured out. Btw, if you want sushi, it’s just so so here, I recommend Haruno.

I already have some reservations about eating in a place that will will leave smelling like it for days. But I went anyways. Upon entering I asked the hostess about sitting at the sushi bar area. Sure no problem she says, I’ll be right over with a menu. I sit and wait and wait and wait. The sushi chef motions to someone behind me as if to say«help this guy out.» I wait some more and finally the sushi chef leaves his work to find me a menu. Still no drink order or acknowledgement by the waiter. Finally after some time and changing locations I get a waiter to as me what I want. Maybe the hibachi show is good. Maybe the food cooked with flair taste better. Maybe. What I got at my table was an over cooked steak(asked for medium rare), sticky noodles, steamed rice that was one big snowball. Once the waiter dropped off the food, not once did he return to fill my drink or ask for if needed anything. The sushi chef got the star. #neveragain

I’ve been here several time and after the last two trips here, I won’t be back. The service was horrible, we waited around for drinks and for refills which were usually incorrect. When our meal was finally done our server was no where to be found. The chef was nice and funny and I attributed his slowness for being new, until he said he’s been working as a hibachi chef for a year. We sat at our table at 12:15 and we didn’t leave until 1:45. My steak was cooked wrong and shrimp was overlooked. Slow and all the wait staff seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else. We started to feel the same way.

Best in Springfield, hands down. Friendly and accommodating hosts and very entertaining chefs. Food is outstanding. The nigiri is off the charts. You cannot go wrong here!

The sushi is here is the best in Springfield. The Weewoowee(spell check) was by far the best. The chef was very friendly, and was always asking us if we wanted extra or needed more sauce. The show is similar to other Japanese Steakhouses but was still entertaining. The sushi is the main reason to go here though. The food was okay. I wasn’t a fan of the fried rice so that was a big let down. The seafood sauce also wasn’t very good and that’s always my favorite part of Japanese Steakhouses. The noodles, steak, and chicken were really good though! Least favorite part was my waitstaff. She was hardly around. If I wanted hibachi, I’d probably go somewhere else, but if you just want sushi, go to Hinode.

Met some friends for dinner and sat in the new sushi section. The great thing is we were able to also order from the hibachi menu. So some of us got Hibachi and others had sushi without having to sit with a bunch of random strangers. We had some nice cold sake, I had the hibachi shrimp. The meal comes out on a tray so your food is all separated. I thought it was great but the lady felt it was too much like her school lunch room. We however liked the food and the service was spot on. The best part was looking cross the table at our friends and enjoying some wonderful conversation with good food. Keep it up.

We hadn’t been here in years, having been loyal to Nakato for our Japanese food fix. We went here with our neighbors last month and absolutely loved it. It’s probably the best hibachi chicken I’ve had. They do a great job. We ended up going back just a couple weeks later to try it again and it was just as good. Highly recommended!
