This place is always slow! Definitely a 2 star establishment based on speed of service. I hate going here because I always leave smelling like I was deep fried. I give them the third star because at least they still have the 2 piece special for 99 cents on Tuesdays. For those of you who don’t know what that is, that is a leg and a thigh for only 99 cents every Tuesday. They also have a few other Tuesday specials(look at the photo in my uploaded photo for the exact specials). There is always a special going on because truly, this place is really overpriced. The food is about average in taste unless you have someone that decides to be heavy handed in spice on the rare occasion. Other than that, expect to get fast food quality chicken served to you with a hint of extra spice most times. If you are coming to this place for authentic New Orleans poboys, then save the gas! This is just a regular sandwich on a long bread. If you must try their poboys, check Groupon because they normally have a deal for this location for a poboy combo. You will find that this establishment will fall somewhere in the middle of your normal fast food chicken places in regards to a quality, taste and overall enjoy ability. If there isn’t another chicken option around, it will definitely do in a pinch if you just need to scratch that itch.

Stay away, very far away the food is plum nasty. They served me old red beans and rice! Their chicken had a taste obviously not standard. I spent over $ 25– for sh_t! Never again. }:{

First off… The chicken was real good:). Rice was dry. Collards were awesome. Sweet potato pie was a little better than average. Little hole in the wall place. Service was adequate

Was very excited to have Frenchy’s on my side of town. They have only been open a week and were super busy on a Friday night. I guess lots of people wanted to start their weekend with a fried chicken fix! I order a 10 piece with biscuits, red beans, dirty rice, and collard greens. The chicken seemed a little too dark in color and didn’t have a good crisp too it. The chicken itself was moist and juicy, but was lacking the spice I am use to in their chicken. Hopefully, they are just working out some kinks in their preparation. The sides were fantastic! I loved the chunks of sausage in the beans, but wish there was more beans and less rice. The dirty rice and collard greens were delish! Service was friendly and there’s a small amount of seating inside. The location is a pain to get in and out of since 1960 is always congested, but it’s a welcome addition the area.
