Okay listen up Unilocalers! This is a good place to get your crawfish fix on. The picnic tables are a nice touch in my personal opinion. I highly recommend a cold beer with the hot crawfish. Good food, good friendly service, nuff said. Get to sucking.

I FREAKINGLOVETHISPLACE!!! They have the best crawfish I’ve found in Houston. Don’t even let me get started on the boudin its everything you need in your life. I’m so upset that crawfish season has ended because I want so really bad but can’t go anywhere else after trying their crawfish. Its the bombdigett to say the lease.

I gave this place a second chance because the 1st time was early on in the season… But OHNO!!! Never again will I ever stop and get crawfish from them ever again. They are super small and with NO juice in them at all. The only spice you will get on the dry crawfish is if you ask for it extra. The potatoes suck and the corn is even worse. I never thought you could screw up corn and a potato from a crawfish boil but they have managed to. Take my advise and go to Blue Water or HEB even had better crawfish… Very disappointing.

So I decided to try this place again. They’re local, friendly and conveniently located close to my place. This review is just for the crawfish & service received. — Small. Yes really. It’s late May and the weather has been great for crawfish growth. You wouldn’t know it from what I got here. — Not spiced well. Very mild. — Not juicy. Heads are almost dry. — Corn and potatoes have no spice. — Cooked well. — Nice people. HEB has better crawfish. Sad but true. Blue Water blows them away.

This is my go to place for crawfish. The workers are always friendly and smiling. The crawfish is usually bigger than other places. Hardly ever get a dead one… Which is a huge plus(I’ve gone to other places where HALF of the crawfish were dead!!) the flavor is always on point: juicy, just the right amount of spiciness(I can see how some people can’t handle it though). And you can’t beat drive thru.

I really, really, really wanted to love this place… but just can’t. We’ve had some really good crawfish in the area and others which were not so good… this one fell just left of the middle. The customer service is great, but at the end of the day it’s about the food. Here’s a breakdown of the items we ordered and perceptions of each: Potatoes — Literally just a boiled potato. Didn’t even taste like it was boiled in seasoning. It was cooked perfectly, but tasted like a plain potato. Corn — Same as the potato… no seasoning, just cooked corn. Tasted like plain corn on the cob. Sausage — So overcooked it was chalky and dry. The ends were burnt and the sausage was shriveled. I would never order this again even if it were free. Crawfish — A little left of average. Seasoned but very mildly. Nice crawfish… clean, good size, cooked perfectly… just not much cajun flavor which to me is extremely important when it comes to crawfish. I’ve had much better elsewhere. Sad because I’d heard such amazing things about this place and they’re right around the corner from the house… but I’ll drive a little further for a far superior product as there are several others in the area who do it much better.

I am a Louisiana Girl and the crawfish, including sides, are delicious. Reminds me of home! I would rate a five but I like just a bit more seasoning and the time time is pretty long. So a give them a four.

Giving it a 3 for overall experience. Crawfish was excellent. Never had boudin before and never will again. May be great, but not for me. There are 4 picnic tables outside, on gravel. This really is a to go place. They offer crawfish, sausage, boudin, corn and potatoes, ALL a la carte.

Best damn crawfish outside of mine. Hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. I wish they would move in to a store front so we could be air conditioned but BYOB makes up for that.

Fantastic craw… cooked to perfection and some of the biggest tails Ive seen yet this season. Meat came out with ease and had just enough kick to them. Drive thru or walkup… w/benches

We finally decided to give this place a try after driving by everyday and seeing the big sign right off of Louetta. Me, the hubby and my sister stopped in and got 10lbs of their crawfish. Given that I typically eat crawfish cooked the asian cajun way, I still have a liking for the original cajun Louisiana boil, and I must say… DEFINITELY better than blue water(that place, i don’t know how people can like), and a whole lot tastier than the crawfish served at Wolfies. The flavor is season from the boil, and not sprinkled on the shell. Glad to have a place close to home, but this place i believe is only open fri-sunday. A great little side gig for extra cash. They also have a drive through which seemed really popular. At least 10+ cars were going through within the hour and half we were there!

BUYERBEWARE! Very disappointing experience. We were quoted $ 2.75 per pound when placing our order for live crawfish, but on the day we picked them up, we were informed that the price was $ 3.25 per pound. The rude response from the owner and staff added to the disappointment.

Hands down, the BEST crawfish I’ve had since we moved here. Fresh, hot, flavorful. YUM, YUMMY, YUM!!! The kiddos got in on the action and no one was disappointed. The only thing I didn’t like was sitting under the sun. A passed by a few days ago on my was to the skating rink, a family had their own beach umbrella for shade. Lol Makes sense why most people order through the drive-thru. If you’re thinking of eating there, be sure to wear sunblock, sunglasses and or a sun hat or cap. A beach umbrella isn’t a bad idea either. Wish I had thought of that. lol You gotta try this place. Definitely recommend it!!!

Crawfish is awesome, great flavor. 3 stars overall because they charge extra for mushrooms and corn AND do not boil them with the crawfish OR season them, which is ridiculous. Plain boiled potatoes are so unappetizing. Crawfish was already $ 7 a pound, I would have never paid extra for corn, potatoes, and mushrooms if I knew they would be without a trace of seasoning.

Pros: hot fresh yummy crawfish. Spicy seasonings. BYOB and drinks was great too! Service was excellent. Note: there is a bathroom and sink inside for use. The price of crawfish sucks right now,($ 6.99/lb) but this isn’t their fault and their price is consistent with everyone else. Cons: the seasoning was pretty salty. I’m a salt lover and it still packed a punch at times. The potatoes and corn are not boiled with the crawfish. I like my potatoes and corn to have that yummy spicy flavor. It’s just tables and benches outside so might not go for staying in the summer but they have a drive through as well. Again, great and friendly service too! We will be back — especially if the price comes down on crawfish.

Hebert you did it again, your crawfish was the star attraction at our annual picnic, making for another successful year. Bravo! It’s been 2 years since I last boiled crawfish, my days of purging, boiling, and simmering is not at all missed. Thank you for sending me into retirement so that I may concentrate on my favorite pastime, eating the Lord of all Crustaceans. On Wednesday, we ordered 75 lbs picking them up on Saturday when every single one down to the last butter dripping claw was devoured leaving people wanting more. As a matter of fact, even the non-crawfish eaters in attendance started chomping down on these mudbugs, regretting not having discovered them sooner. I did warn them not to expect this at every place in town; it just happens that, Hebert prepares the best crawfish in Houston. Enjoy!
