I am less of a fan of their pizza.

First time trying it and I have to say that I’m highly impressed. The pizza dough is some of the best tasting dough I’ve had at a pizza place. I went there with the intention of buying to-​go pizza and I did notice they had a little buffet. It wasn’t anywhere near the size of a Cici’s Pizza buffet but the quality definitely looked superior. I didn’t have time to dine in, but I definitely intend on doing that next time around. As for our to-​go order, my husband felt it was amazing and it was the best supreme pizza he’s ever had. (I think they call it The Works here). They definitely aren’t stingy when it comes to the toppings. The pizza was overloaded with delicious toppings. As for myself, my only complaint was that the pizza sauce as a little on the sweet side for my liking. But overall I definitely enjoyed DD’s and I will be coming back for sure! By the way if anyone has kids, they had a sign that on Wed’s from 5pm to 8:30pm Kids 6 & under eat free with Adult Buffet purchase.

There are good pizza places, and their is Double Daves. Double Daves pizza has been the best pizza I have ever had and it has been for 4 years. If you haven’t eaten here before I recommend trying it. The pepperoni rolls are amazing. The buffet is epic and easy to do. Double Daves is the definition of Pizza.

Better than CICI pizza! Awesome lunch buffet! Taking a box home to chow on!!! And the staff is very friendly despite we came in late that’s Great customers service!!!

Oh man this place rocks dude! Such delicious pizza. My kid doesn’t like it but I love it. I only eat the lunch buffet though because their pizza price in the evening is too high. You can get an entire extra pizza at Pizza Hut for the same price double daves gives you for only 1 pizza, but like they say-​you get what you pay for.

I’m very disappointed in their policy to end the buffet no matter what. I just showed up at 2:04 (buffet apparently ends at 2) and saw no less than 6 full pies on the buffet line and no more than 5 people in the entire restaurant. They refused to sell a buffet to me.
From past experience, I know they clear the buffet by throwing away copious amounts of food. I was alone. They could have made a few more $$ and been a little more flexible with their policy in an effort to save on waste.
Needless to say, I’m not going to help facilitate such wastefulness. I’m going to Paul’s Pizza Shop instead even if they don’t have a buffet.
Shame on you DD’s!

Went here for my granddaughters birthday. Pizza was good but not great. Service was ok. Salad bar was old and brown colored. I think the place was probably best when it was new. It needs a face lift on everything.

Pretty decent buffet. I like the pizza of the month thing they do. I have only come for the buffet cause I am not a huge pizza fan and feel that it is way too expensive for the prices, but that goes for all pizza places not just here. The Buffet Is Good though. Salad is fresh they keep fresh pizza on buffet. And will make any request you have. I don’t know what they are called but they have little sandwich like things with beef and cheese and it is just soo good. I think it is a calzones but idk. Overall decent.

Their customer service has gotten much better since my last review.

I have enjoyed Double Daves Pizzaworks since the late 80’s. This location has has a friendly staff, clean dining area and wonderful pizza and decent salad bar. The reason I give it 2 stars and not 5 is because there world famous pepperoni pizza rolls at this location are always below par. All the other items on there menu are great except for the rolls. They are always flat, burnt, and are like jerky. And since the main reason I eat at double Daves is the pizza rolls I am always dis appointed at this location :-(

I came here for the first time during lunchtime on a Sunday. Reading previous reviews from fellow Unilocalers I did not have much expectations. So I wasn’t too disappointed. This place was filled with kids. They have a pizza menu on the wall. They also have create your own pizzas, sandwiches, strombolis, and daily specials. They also have a buffet bar/​salad bar. My friend and I just decided to try out the Dave’s fav pizza with meat on a medium size. We waited 30 minutes for pizza to come out. Pizza was okay. Overall experience was okay. Its a great place to come if you have kids!

I’m an Aggie, so eating Double Daves is kind of one of those cravings, like Freebirds.
I’ve been coming to this location for years, since it first opened. I only come during lunch time for the buffet, have never been here during dinner time so I can’t speak to how things are then.
The lunch crowd can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are pretty empty, sometimes you are lucky to find a free table. When there are big groups of little kids like baseball or soccer, they will wipe out the buffet quick, so you have to grab what you can when you can! But usually the buffet is pretty well stocked with an assortment of pizzas and desserts.
They have a salad bar with assorted toppings and lots of dressings, but all I usually grab over there are some pickles, salad peppers, and lots of ranch dressing.
Every time I come in they ask if I have any requests for the buffet, I’m happy as long as there are pepperoni rolls & Stromboli. I also like their thin-​crust pizza (any flavor). I also like their dessert pizzas (usually they have 2 – 4 different kinds out), I’m not exactly sure what each one is but they are yummy. One is kind of a cinnamon roll pizza, another has chocolate chips all over it, sometimes they have like a cherry filled stromboli shaped, etc…
When the place is pretty empty I notice they aren’t too quick to clean off the tables (in fact I’ve entered and left and seen tables that were never bussed the whole time). But when things are busier they usually have someone going around cleaning up promptly and taking extra plates and such away.
They also usually have pretty good beer deals (both draft & bottles) and selection, but since I don’t drink anymore that doesn’t matter much to me… *sigh*
I would rate this place a solid 4 stars on the food, but give them only 3 stars on keeping the place clean & tidy.

I love pizza and I kept it simple this go around simply because the prices are a bit high in my opinion. They charge almost $ 2 more per topping. I got a large pepperoni pizza and it was delicious, definitely a fan of the crust as well. It was 15″ with 10 slices for about $ 13 bucks. I have to say I’m full, however the pizza was pretty greasy. I’d suggest coming during their buffets in the afternoon to get more bang for your buck.
The actual place is really nice though and the employees were very kind. It gives off a good vibe being here, somewhat cabin-​ish if that makes sense. I’ll definitely come back.

Last time. Gave it one more chance. I even emailed the place after the prior review and the owner said they would clean up.
Tonight we go because the kids wanted pizza. My 5 year old had to use the bathroom. There was toilet paper with feces on the floor. There was dried feces on the toilet. There was dried urine on the urinal. Nobody had checked or cleaned in some time. Same piles of dirty tables that were not bussed. Filth.

I’m a huge pizza person and this pizza was freaakkkinnggg awesomeeeee! The pepperoni rolls were even BETTER.
Got the bellybuster which included a large handtossed pizza, pepperoni rolls, and cinnamon sticks. All were awesome. Wish I could go back!!! Craving the pepperoni rolls as we speak :)

Really not impressed by this place and was hoping for so much more. This place was pretty dull and the restaurant itself was not very clean even though there were very few customers in the place and the young staff seems liked they had time to help with this.
The salad bar was not very fresh looking, very few choices, and was quite a mess. The pizza was not very good either I felt. Very basic and I felt there was hardly any toppings on it. Just crust and sauce which wasn’t any specular.
All in all, I was not impressed and do not intend on returning. Sorry :-(

Okay pizza, seems to depend on the cook. I went in to order a to go pizza, I asked for a popular one without the chicken, I was told the recipe could not be changed. My pizza had to have the meat. I canceled my order and left, haven’t been back since.

Tasty pizza. We love their buffet and beer. Pepperoni rolls with ranch are the family favorite. The waitstaff is young, and transient and leaves a lot to be desired because, well, because it’s a beer-​serving buffet-​style pizza parlor. Btw, if you are 23, with a California license trying to buy beer in Texas at some suburban pizza parlor, you’re most definitely going to be carded and given a hard time. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Excellent and consistently good pizza. I always make sure to try their pizza of the month, but you can never go wrong the classics here.

Their lunch buffet met all of my families specific pizza needs. Great pizza and friendly staff. BEST CHOCOLATE PIZZA!!!
