There were 8 of us taking my niece out for her 25th bday! I do not know where to begin! Horrible service, Slowest service I have ever experienced, Food was disgusting, expensive menu for the quality of the food, the chefs at the hibachi tables do not even do tricks Or even entertain like they did many years ago! I would not recommend this location to anyone! 3 hour nightmare experience!

New manager is terrible. Will not visit this location ever again. New manager spilled drinks on table. She also set her tray and melted it onto the table. Also, would not serve benihana punch in bowl like they have done at all locations for years without filling bowl with ice. I am not paying $ 30 for a bowl of ice.

I’d put a lower star if I could. Chicken and shrimp were way over priced and DRY. Kids meals over $ 10 each and don’t include the $ 3 drink. REALLY! Never coming again.

The only reason I was talked into stopping here was that it was late lunchtime on Saturday 10 days before Christmas and it seemed like the parking lot was fairly empty(in retrospect this was a bad sign and I should have stuck to my guns and gone anywhere else! There was no wait, we were seated immediately and we closed out the table of eight. In theory we could have eaten promptly but no first we had to wait 10 – 15 minutes before Mr. Lee our chef showed up — and the one and a half HOURS of ridiculously slow service with every little thing being spaced out and served separately. My «duet» of steak and chicken came last of all :(. I was starving by this point but both were SO salty that I couldn’t eat. I just left it on my plate and asked for the check, happy to escape! No-one asked or commented as to whether my food was good or why I left it virtually untouched. Terrible staff and service, inedible food and wasted almost 2 hours of my life and about $ 40. Never again

We love Benihana and reserve eating here for special occasions. It saddens me that I can’t be happy about my recent visit. Our hibachi cook Misael was awful. He was not entertaining, our food was under seasoned, and dry. We paid the bill and didn’t ask to speak to a manager but I don’t know if we’ll go back. We should have requested Roy who we watched from our table in regret.

Took my son and daughternlaw for lunch, our waiter was AWESOME. He was prompt, polite and funny, I would come back just for him. I only wish I took down his name.(young Asian waiter)… Our cook was OK, he tried to be funny but wasn’t, he didn’t do tricks and when he did it was almost because he had too and rushed through it, for example the choo choo with the onions; I think he clanked the grill like twice and made the noise. The food was just mediocre, I really wasn’t impressed as I have been in the past. I had to keep adding soy sauce to everything to give flavor, it was definitely missing the butter and salt flavor it’s had in the past. We all 3 ordered the steak/shrimp plate, the steak was extremely bland and left in long thin strips, it was hard to eat as no knives are provided. I would’ve preferred it cut into bite size pieces. The rice was bland, the vegetables were bland, just overall BLAND. I would definitely recommend HB’S Japanese Steak House on 1960 over this or even Kobe’s.

We had a reservation for 8:30pm for 20 We arrived at 8 pm I Advise the manager Emily that my whole party was here and that she Can seat us when our tables Are Ready * At 8:30pm I asked How long before we are seated. She stated they are Working on our tables and then walked Off(Great Customer Service) She came Back and stated she only had one table Available(ReallY What are Reservations for) We are finally seated at 8:50pm the Waiters took our Drink order and Food order .The only good Part About the evening is the Waiter Josh he was Great. It is now 9:30 pm and our CooKs still have not came out with the Food. There was a party of the same size came in after us and there Cook was there preparing there food. [ enough is enough ] I found the manager Emily again and ask What is going on? She stated that the Cooks are prepping the food and would be out in a minute and walks of again. Finally the Cooks come out By this time it is 9:45pm and we still have not eaten. Finally Everyone gets there food. We did not Leave until 11:20pm waiting on food .,. Bottom Line I Would not Recommend this place to anyone. The manger Emily Was Rude and disrespectful from the time We set foot in the Restaurant. She lack Customer service skills People skills and management skills . If you want to be miss treated and your special night ruined then this is the place for you. Ask for Emily… I would of gave no stars but I had to pick at least 1.

Just spoke to the manager — Emily — and she apologized for our experience. We are going to try the restaurant again and I will provide an update after that. ******** Had a really poor experience here which I had written about. Since they have tried really hard to apologize and make up for it, I’m removing it for now and will provide another review after the second visit. But leaving it at one star for now.

Went for hubby’s birthday, we chose the bar area, and ordered from the kitchen. Never a disappointment! And their $ 30 birthday certificate also came in handy.

First thing’s first, I’d like to give a shout out to Benihana’s marketing department for being so generous for my birthday gift! I hate being that«one» customer that gets to a restaurant 30 minutes before closing but to be honest I had a busy day and last thought on my mind was to get in the kitchen and cook so I requested a Benihana’s kind of night! We got there and we got seated immediately, our server was nice and social with us and I appreciated the positivity since I already felt bad that we came here late. The«Japanese» Hibachi chef performed quite well and was so much fun to also be part of the performance. Overall, this place has never failed me and I absolutely love coming here for both the food and the experience!

If you want bland food and mediocre service that’s over priced, go for it. Honestly Kobe is soo much! Better food, better service and atmosphere and better performance.

One of my favorite restaurants. Got the benihana delight which is chicken and shrimp with friend rice. It comes with a shrimp appetizer, soup, salad and dessert. Me and my family comes here a lot, the service is always great and my picky kid brother loves it here, so it’s always a good visit

The Las Vegas roll is scrumptious! Warning though, it takes a while to come out so order quickly. It’s a cooked sushi roll so anyone on the fence about trying sushi rolls should give this one a try. Salmon, cream cheese, cucumber rolled in rice and tempura fried then topped with a small jalapeño slice and some sauce for a little kick. Crunchy on the outside, smooth and delicious on the inside — a great roll!

Went here with my wife and was early for our reservation, we told them we’d wait in the bar. When we got to the bar we were told it was happy hour. We replied awesome! Looked at the prices, they were great so we ordered some sushi as an appetizer. They by far have the freshest fish in houston, very high quality. Then when our reservation time the came into the bar called us by name and we went on the the habichi what a show. I’d definitely recommend this place to everyone and our service was great and the management staff was attentive and knew what was going on, she was very involved. Great job guys!

Well we just wanted sushi so we thought we’d give them a try since we had a toddler with us. Waitress was horrible. We order our rolls with soy paper, only one of the rolls came on soy, I think she thought since we asked for soy paper after the first roll we only wanted that one on soy, which makes no sense. We got my toddler the hibachi fried rice with some teriyaki which was tasty. The tempera veggies wee just blah and greasy. The rolls were fine, we filled up but will only go back to try the hibachi experience but that’s it.

As we drove up the parking lot was empty. Should have been the first sign of things to come. The staff were nice, no complaints there, but the quality of the food was lacking. Most hibachi type places offer you soo much rice and food that you cannot finish your plate. I found that the small amount of fried rice plus the poor choice in the cuts of steak added to a not so good meal. The lobster was nice but the fact that I left a hibachi restaurant and was still hungry due to the lack of amount of food made a good night go bad very fast. Before my beautiful bride to be and I left we had some green tea ice cream. There was nothing«cream» e About it !!! Ice chunks were all up in it. So that means it was frozen, defrosted, then frozen again.

The service is terrible. The food ok. We had Charles cook for us at the hibachi, he did an ok job. We’ve definitely had better. I read all the bad reviews but everyone deserves a chance. Our waitress was just really bad. She couldn’t figure out who she was taking drinks from. She didn’t bother asking us for apps. And then when it came time for our ice cream which came with the meal, she gave us the check and rushed us out. The cooking was ok, nothing spectacular. The soup tastes like the packaged seasoning for mama noodles. It was no good. I had the scallops and steak, my son had steak and fiancé had steak and lobster. All just ok. The service was absolutely terrible. We still tipped her well for the zero service that she gave. I can see why people don’t come back.

I thought it would be busy on a Friday at 12:30pm. The place was almost empty(In California it’s pretty busy at that time for the whole day) so we were suggested to have the express lunch without the cooking entertainment. That’s the main reason I came. We didn’t want to have them heat up a grill setting for 8 people and be the only 2 sitting there. It’s also not Tip beneficial to the cook & server. We ordered the Lunch Boats. Our Tempuras were cold with no crunch. Everything else was delicious. Sadly, I got sick 20 mins later. My friend didn’t. I ate the raw fish; he didn’t. I felt better after I got it all out. Staff was friendly. I would return with a group of 4 or more or when it’s busy.

Reservation set — still a 20 minute wait. Took over 45 minutes for the gentleman to start cooking our food. And a hour after that for it to be finished. We received bit by bit of our dinner, starting with shrimp and grilled zucchini. My party of four has requested white rice, and we were left to our imagination when the other half of the table received their fried rice after a show of tossing the eggs in the air and spelling out«I greaterthansymbolthatYelpdoesnotallow3 U» with the rice. This same display of affection happened at the tables around us, too, and no one seemed very impressed. These tables are too small to fit all of the different sauce, salad, and soup dishes for up to ten people! The make matters worse, our waitress seemed to disappear during the(ridiculously long) show. Three empty drinks, four empty glasses of water… 15 minutes of no one checking on us and we ran out of room! A quick, «sorry!» to any hostess for having to clean up our glasses when I put them on the station, but I had to tidy our area or they were going to end up on the floor! Chicken and steak were cooked separately — dragging the wait time for our meal even longer. At the end of the show, our chef thanked the table, starting packing, and seemed very confused when we pointed out NONE of the seafood had been prepared! Two whole entrées, and the shrimp to top two of the dishes. Oh right! STILL no steamed rice! Finally time for the checks! We figured we would be down the waterway with a drink in our hands soon enough. It took four tries for our waitress to have everyone’s bill corrected. There was added drinks to the bills, an extra Ocean Treasure meal, and a kid’s meal from the other party(THATHADALREADYLEFT)! How do you prove you didn’t have a kid with you when there is no kid at the table? FOOD: Hibachi Mango Salmon–«sweet potatoes and veggies, delicious asian-inspired mango salsa» ~ This was my meal; which I wanted to enjoy as a whole, and so cold veggies and shrimp accompanied my salmon. The fish was very freah and yummy, but then he dumped the«delicious» blah blah blah on top. Oily, bland, and more liquid than mango. Gave a sour taste to the white rice I waited an hour for, and made the fish very unpleasant. Ocean Treasure–«lobster tail, sea scallops and shrimp» ~Thankfully my sister enjoyed her seafood, because it was almost $ 40 by itself! Splash ‘n Meadow–«Tender sliced steak and grilled colossal shrimp lightly seasoned and grilled to your specification» ~The«colossal» shrimp was prepared at the very end, and the steak was said to be very fatty. This dish was ordered by two at our table. I enjoyed their Red Plum Sake Sangria–«red wine, Benihana sake, plum wine, pomegranate and orange juice.» Very nice and not too much citrus! Absolutely not worth the visit at all. The biggest shame? Everyone agreed it was terrible and I expressed my knowledge of several great options in the area – only to find out the party planner knew nothing about the Woodlands and only assumed Benihana was a good bet. Shucks.

SOOOO disappointed with this place. None of the food had any flavor. Our group, as well as the other group of people we were sharing the table with had to keep asking for salt, pepper, and various other seasonings and sauces just to make the food palatable. Our chef(Charles), was friendly, but he kept talking about his mother, and how she was famous, and how he was a war baby, and a ton of other things about his personal life. He also didn’t do any cool tricks like what I’ve experienced at Benihanas before. He just kept making noise by banging his knives together. The other group got very annoyed by this and asked him to stop in a nice way, but he didn’t get it. Also, the fried rice he made came out so burnt we couldn’t eat it. I was really bummed out by the whole experience, because it was my husband’s first time and I had told him how great Benihanas was. The only good things I’ll say were that the management was very prompt at addressing our concerns and the mango smoothie I ordered was great.
