Very disappointed. Visiting from out of town and came in at happy hour and sat in the lounge. The place was empty except one other table. Very Slow greet and order wasn’t completely right. I ordered chicken sandwich with a salad and I needed ketchup for my sandwich and waiting an obscene amount of time for it. Had to flag down a host to get me some. What was most annoying is I could see my server/bartender«Patricia» behind the bar with another employee and a manager just laughing and talking. Other employees were sitting at bar too. Epic customer service fail… When the server finally came to check on me to ask how my sandwich was. I said«better with ketchup» she laughed and never came back except to place the check on the table. To top things off when she brought my credit card slips back. She forgot my credit card. Which I had to flag Patricia down to get… Which again took forever!!! Will spread the word. Avoid this place if your looking for anything other than an inattentive order taker and oblivious management staff.

Not your typical fish tacos. These were SO good. Sweet but spicy. Located in the downtown mall. I also recommend their East meets West pizza.

Unfortunately all we can comment on is the service since we didn’t get a chance to try the food or drinks. The greeter was very nice and sat us in an efficient manner. However we sat at our table for 20 minutes with no service. During this time multiple servers and the manager walked past our table repeatedly. We witnessed some of the waitresses standing in the back and putting on make up while chatting for minutes at a time. The silverware was also very dirty. We got up and left after no one served us.

I’m always thrown off by how pricey this place is. The food is good, don’t get me wrong… But definitely not fancy enough for a $ 16 pizza. What’s nice is though it’s always pretty busy, it’s never really been too long of a wait to get seated. Even on a Saturday night when the mall was hopping, we were seated right away!

I ordered a steak on a Wednesday night around 630pm. The waiter tells me the steaks are rotten at 730pm. You should never tell a customer your food is rotten in first place, plus it shouldn’t take one hour for the communication of waiter to kitchen. First time I’ve been here and last I will ever go.

Waited 2 hours for spaghetti and 2 beers. Service was horrible! I wouldn’t torture my worse enemy by having them wait so long for their food. Two of the people in my party ordered the steak and the waiter told us after about 45 minutes after we ordered that steak was rotten! Spaghetti was bland, and it tasted like the meat balls were pre made. Never ever again will I eat at this place or recommend it to anyone!

I visited here back in April, while in Spokane, and Rock City was so good I just had to get around to writing a review! There are plenty of gluten free options to choose from, and the staff is knowledgeable. The waitstaff were also just really nice people in general, from our waiter, to the pizza maker, cooking pizzas right next to our table. As a New Yorker, I was a little apprehensive about ordering pizza somewhere else! But the pizza was great(I had gluten free), and the dishes my friends ordered looked great as well. The best part was, at the end of the meal, my friends and I filled out the review card left on the table-I wanted to thank them for a hassle-free and tasty gluten free meal. And just a few weeks later, I got an email from the owner, thanking us for visiting and saying hi! So they really do care about their customers. Wish I could be a regular! So I totally recommend Rock City, and if I ever find myself on the West Coast again, I’ll definitely be back. :D

It’s the perfect place! Went there for happy hour, the drinks are great and the food even better. I wish I knew the name of the guy who served us because he was so funny and so kind! Definitely would go back! :)

I seriously had the best meal of my life. I usually order the chicken Caesar salad – the dressing is unbelievable. But when I saw the Smoked Salmon Tortellini, I had to switch it up. To say it was the most delicious meal I’ve had – I wholeheartedly mean it. The salmon wasn’t dry and full of flavor and the portion size let me enjoy it for two additional days. Wait staff was very attentive! A great experience!

artic cod fish & fries were good. The tarter sauce is really good, you could really taste the lemon in it. Chicken fettuccine is awsome and my husband really loved it. Looking over the menu it is pretty pricey and although i really wanted to order a steak i held back, $ 25 for a steak is better left alone unless your on a date with your husband and not fighting over fish and chips with your daughter. Aka she at it all. :)

What an incredible evening! We were seated promptly, and received the perfect amount of attention! While our food took a little bit, it wasn’t an unreasonable wait. Just long enough to be hungry for the food. The food was delicious! I had the buffalo burger,(which I only recommend for the largest of appetites,) and my family had pasta, and blu cheese burger. Each of us was impressed with our meal. More than everything else, was the synergistic combination of wonderful food, an engaging staff, who made ours a personal experience, and the relaxed, fun atmosphere. More than any other compliment, I’d say: «we will be back here to eat again!»

Friendly service, I like the fact you can walk into the lounge seating if your trying to be casual. Decent Sunday specials and service was quite prompt. Prices were very good.

Rock City Grill is perfect for meetings. The appetizers, drinks, and entrees all satisfy our appetites and it makes for delightful times with colleagues. I definitely recommend this restaurant; their food is unique and it is always delicious. If you are in the downtown area, this place is definitely a favorite. I always order the sweet potato fries, the chicken quesadilla, and their pizzas. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. 5 stars.

How I heard of this place: While on a business trip in Spokane, my husband happened to walk by this place, only a mile from our hotel. Easy walking distance along the river made for a trip to the Grill. Type of cuisine: «Born in 1992, Rock City Grill is described as a marriage between fine and casual dining. We started with Spokane’s first wood-fired oven, gourmet ingredients, and soon became famous for our Thai Pizza and Pasta. We are Spokane’s most creative restaurant featuring non-traditional Italian food mixed in with American favorites.» Ambiance: A corporate feel in this mall-set establishment, with glowing blue lights in the bar and along one kitchen space, where the woodfire oven lays. Booth seating and matching seating at tables with chairs, for larger parties, are found throughout the long, rectangular-shaped space. High ceilings and dim lighting give an air of romance, quickly depleted by the flat-screen televisions bearing college football. Clean and sleek, the space, while corporate is noticeably newer and diligence placed on upkeep. What I ordered: We started our evening with the Lettuce Thai You Up!($ 8.95), an Asian lettuce wrap with chicken, mushrooms, green onions, water chestnuts, garlic & ginger, served with crisp iceberg lettuce leaves, Chinese sauce, and Rock City Thai Peanut sauce. Our main entrees each came with the option for a side salad or soup and we each chose the Pecan Apple Salad($ 4.50 each as a side) of fresh spring mix tossed with apples, red onions, candied pecans, feta cheese, and a maple vinaigrette. My main entrée came off of the Italian-inspired menu: the Italian Sausage Calzone($ 15.95) substituting the Italian sausage for pepperoni, and double the mozzarella(instead of ricotta), green peppers, black olives, mushrooms, onions and tomato sauce. My husband chose the Barbeque Baby Back Ribs($ 18.95), oven-roasted baby back pork ribs with a blueberry barbeque sauce, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and tempura battered onion rings. What I loved: The salad. Both my husband and I felt that the salad, with its very maple-y vinaigrette, accompanied by candied pecans and tart feta cheese was the highlight of our meal. The remainder of the meal left much to be desired(rubbery ribs, flavorless calzone dough, goopy canned Thai sauce for the lettuce wraps). Why I loved it: A beautiful sunset walk along the Riverfront, on a snowy March evening to Rock City, not to mention the friendliness of our server; she made up for any slack in the food department. Cost: Average to high($ 15.50 — $ 24.95 per specialty entrée)

The %15 off that Unilocal offers doesn’t work for happy hour… It would be nice if they told you that before you ordered. Overall the food was just OK and the service was sub par. I won’t be going back.

This was our 3rd time visiting Rock City and the first since their apparent remodel(which was what drew us in). We arrived just before their Late Hour deals kicked in, which is 9:30pm) and opted to kill a few minutes before ordering. Their late hour menu deals are pretty nice. Our bill was $ 30 and we ordered 3 glasses of the house wine, flatbread appetizer, a specialty pizza, and crème brûlée. We had their merlot and cabernet sauvignon house wines and both were more sweet reds. The flatbread was really tasty. I definitely enjoyed the crème brûlée. The remodel revamp makes Rock City a place we will definitely come back to. The atmosphere changed for the better. Our only complaint was that the numerous TVs in the bar area only had two channels on and adjacent TVs showed the same channel which was kind of redundant. Shake it up a bit, please :)

My wife and I have been going to the Rock City Grill for quite some time. Generally we make our way down there on Tuesdays as it is Thai Tuesday. The Thai Chicken Pizza is the best in town. It has a thin crust, Rock Cities own Thai peanut sauce, topped with pieces of chicken and shrimp. It is absolutely outstanding. The other great thing about RCG is the service. They wait staff has always been very friendly, attentive and if you watch them they always keep themselves busy tidying up the restaurant. If you want the best Thai Pizza in town this is it!
