Andrew was a great waiter! He was very helpful and friendly. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere very welcoming and clean. We will definitely be back and hope that we get Andrew again.

Busy on a Saturday evening. Waited awkwardly on a stairway as patrons checked out. Service was friendly, but you could tell they were understaffed. Nice atmosphere — we slipped into the bar to get seated after 20 minutes. Scampi Luigi — a little bland, OK Vegetable primavera with red sauce tasted a little too heavy on the salt not enough flavor — OK

We had reservation Sat. Night 2.27.16 …very disappointing. Lemon drop martinis … Could not taste any liquor and martini was only half full. $ 9 drink. We complained and they remade them … Added booze but glass still half full. Explanation was they were using a larger martini glass. Very slow service… Waited one and a half hours for entrees. Was told they only had two cooks. Food was okay but overpriced and small portions for the dollars. Have eaten here before when it was much better. I do not see us returning.

This place tried it’s hardest to ruin my birthday. It was a weekday night and only one or two other customers were at the restaurant. The older lady who was our server seemed short and inconvenienced by us. She wasn’t attentive to our drinks, when we went to place our order she said wait let me check on the other table then disappeared for a bunch of minitues and when she took the wrong order she got snippy. My review of the food could be biased by the bad experience, but it seemed way over priced for run of the mill Italian food. From now on if I want Italian I will stick with the spaghetti factory with it’s included drink, ice cream and pompous-free attitude.

We went here for a birthday celebration. From the beginning the waitress was short with us. Everything we needed was like pulling teeth. It eventually got so unbearable that we asked for someone else to serve us. After spilling water in the birthday girls salad, we finally got a waiter that didn’t feel like we were a burden. The food was mediocre and over priced. I don’t want to spend 30 dollars on spaghetti and have to eat it on a vinyl picnic table cloth.

Have no idea where to even start. Came in with a party of 15, made our reservations a week in advance. We were all here by 7p. m ordered by 7:30… Sat here and waited over an hour just for 3 appetizers to be brought to our table. Our entrees were not delivered until 930! To top off this whole train wreck not one of the plates were close to being warm. Not one waitress approached our table to let us know of any hold up in the kitchen, nothing of the sort. By far the worst experience I have ever had while eating out. I would absolutely advise anyone to avoid eating there! I honestly wouldn’t even give this place a single star if I had the option. Will never be returning to this place of business.

Traditional Italian restaurant. Great staff and the food I had was tasty and prepared well. But I found the menu to be a little too plain and the dish I had(lasagna) to be light on flavor and bland.

Luigi’s is one of my favorite Italian places in Spokane. The atmosphere at night when you first walk up the stairs and look into the main area is a experience alone. The wait staff are very friendly and great you like family. The food itself is absolutely delicious, it is a must try place for a fun night out!

Waitress was beyond inattentive. Food was slow to come out, which would be fine if I could say it was worth the wait. It tasted microwaved, and the appetizer we ordered was the spinach crab dip. However the most overwhelming taste was the onion. Actually quite disgusting. My wife and my combined meal was nearly seventy dollars. I wouldn’t pay ten dollars for their gnoche and spinach Alfredo I ordered. Cute atmosphere and awesome setting. Wish the staff and food were even half as good as the set up.

Had an absolutely wonderful night at Luigi’s. We had a large party, all showing up at different times, and they put us in a room all by ourselves so we could really enjoy each other’s company. Out waiter was really accommodating with people showing up at different times, and was also really friendly and engaging. They had minestrone and clam chowder for soups last night, both of which were awesome. Many of us had the lasagne, and it was really good. It is served with a ton of extra cheese baked over it. Great marinara sauce and delicious Italian sausage inside. The house Merlot or Chianti really go great with the lasagne as well. The whole place reminded of some of the great places I went to in New York and Philadelphia. Luigi’s has great Italian going on, and you should really give them a try.

Dinner was good… the portions were huge. The bar isn’t very experienced so don’t try to order anything complicated like a raspberry lemon drop or they will be stumped.

I recently attended a conference in Spokane at the Convention Center, down the street from Luigi’s. I had meals there twice during the week I was there. The food is delicious and filling, the wait staff is friendly, helpful, fast, and accurate, and the ambiance is enjoyable. I had fettuccine Alfredo with salmon for lunch on one day, and it was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Alas, I didn’t get to try the smoked salmon lasagna because I was only in the area for a few days. For the second visit, I took a friend with me for dinner, and had the chicken picatta, which was likewise well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone attending a conference. It’s within walking distance of the convention center. :)

This place reminded me of the southern Italian restaurants of my childhood growing up in Queens: lots of red sauce and traditional dishes. Unfortunately the authentic richness wasn’t there. The sauces are bland. The fried calamari was over salted, and the coffee too weak to drink. It’s like whoever created the menu left the kitchen twenty years ago and no one is left who knows what real red sauce should taste like. The service was good and the quiet ambience of a private room much appreciated. I liked the homemade ice cream called tortoni which I hadn’t tasted since my childhood. Maraschino flavored with amaretto and bits of chocolate made for a nice finish to an unremarkable yet edible meal reasonably priced and close to the convention center.

I found Spokane’s hidden gem! This family owned restaurant has such a unique atmosphere and a personality of it’s own that makes you feel more then welcome. The food is authentic and delicious– I cleaned my plate and that never happens! They are able to accommodate any dietary needs. It means a lot when the cook himself comes out to see if you enjoyed your meal. The quality of the food is unbeatable and the affordability allows you to enjoy the experience. Having the outgoing and attentive staff which is all family, really made me feel welcomed! Plus the history of the building is remarkable

Wow talk about a true family business! They have been in business for over 27 years and the owners are incredibly nice and gracious. The food is all fresh and homemade. Fried walleye is truly delicious and definitely needs to be ordered when dining at Luigi’s. The pastas are very flavorful and are perfectly paired with warm bread that is served complementary. The veggie pasta was really good. It had pieces of broccoli, olives, and mushrooms. Overall, everything was beyond satisfying and can’t wait to go back to try more items!

Italian food is an art form that is learned at gramma’s knee. Luigi’s is no exception! Marty and Jennifer own and run this first class place. It truly is a family affair! Cousins, nieces, nephews, even Gramma herself! What would an Italian eatery be with out the requisite red and white table cloths?!? Dark green napkins accent said tablecloths! Music and wine flow aplenty! The wait staff is courteous and kind. And very attentive! Now the best part, the food! We started with several appetizers and were NOT disappointed. The anti-pasti platter is not only beautiful, it is delicious. The roasted red peppers were my favorite! They do a wicked steamed clams dish. They have something that I have seen anywhere else. Fried walleye. It isn’t very fishy and a great way to introduce fish to anyone. It is lightly fried and served with this butter sauce! After the appetizers, came the pasta! We had traditional spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, salmon lasagna, and this vegetarian pasta dish(forgive me, I can’t remember the name for the life of me). While all were good, the vegetarian dish was by far my favorite! It had this wonderfully creamy sauce, artichoke hearts, broccoli, and olives, too! For dessert, we tried this ice cream. It has amaretto, cherries, almonds, and chocolate chunks in it! One bite and I was in heaven. This place is great for a date night with your sweetie or a family dinner! Either way, bring your appetite! Remember«just put it in your mouth»!

I like Luigi’s. I don’t need to say more. Luigi’s has a large menu, great bar, a reputation for serving wonderful meals. I think that they are a bit pricey; however, the meals are generous. The dated atmosphere and parking challenges take away from an otherwise very nice evening.

I still love this place! I used to come here when I lived in the area during college and recently came back to revisit old stomping grounds along the way to a wedding in Coeur D’Lane. This place was exactly as I remembered it about 8 – 10 years ago! It’s located in downtown Spokane in an old brick building. It has a very old school café feel with the red/white table covers. The dining room is up a short flight of steps and does have a bar but the main dining room is usually where most people are dining and commence. I don’t know if reservations are taken but I don’t remember ever having difficulty getting into the restaurant. Service was good and the server was pleasant. My staple item was the baked ziti with meat sauce and it was still good as ever! The cheese on top is slightly crisped but the meat sauce is a well balanced with the noodles. It’s just a pasta bowl of heaven! My friend had the spicy chicken calabria which was also very good and had quite a bit of kick from the pepperoncinis so if you’re sensitive to spice, this probably isn’t a good choice. The bread was nice and warm, fresh and doughy! YUM! We also tried the clam chowder rather than the salads and it was delicious! It was hardy, fresh but not fishy and nice consistency that was thick but not gravy. Just a great bowl of chowder that went great with the bread! I’d say prices are a bit high considering the area but not outrageous. Still a great memorable place from my college days with some nice pasta dishes.

Lunchtime in Spokane WA. — where to go? And the answer was to look up just one block over from where we parked near the Convention Center and the Doubletree Hotel. The Luigi’s sign was right up there to see. Luigi’s is about perfect for an old-school Italian restaurant. Red and white checked table clothes, high arched ceilings with lots of wooden beams, lighted grape clusters along the doorways and Frank Sinatra crooning softly in the background. Hubby and I were seated quickly at a booth by a window and our server came right over. We ordered iced tea, as it was a sunny, warm day and then decided to keep it simple so we would have more time to explore the Riverfront park after lunch. We both ordered meatball sandwiches served with a pickle. The sandwich is what I call a «grinder» as it is a crusty Italian roll, partly hollowed out and stuffed with meatballs and cheese. The ones at Luigi’s are really delicious. Dennis, our waiter, kept our tea and water glasses filled and was very pleasant and helpful throughout our meal. And just thinking about that meatball sandwich makes me hungry for another. Luigi’s turned out to be a winner and a great place for lunch when visiting Spokane.
