This book store is the best in town. Good prices most of the time, and such an awesome selection. There are multiple clearance shelves throughout the store with $ 1 hardbacks and $ 0.50 paperbacks, so keep a weather eye out for those. The upstairs has mostly fiction, and I’ve mulled around there, but the heart of this store is definitely the basement as far as I am concerned. Nonfiction books as far as the eye can see down there… I visit 2nd Look a few times a month, and I notice new books in all my favorite sections every time. My favorite spots to check out are the science books, art books(so many books with full color plates of well known artists. I snagged a Van Gogh book with over 80 prints for $ 2), and the little room brimming with classics. A lot of fun books in the animal section too. Just picked up a book called«Cats Around the Zodiac,» the other day. A lot of really fun stuff in this place. Moral of the story: This is a great place to find really weird, unique books to grace your book shelves… Especially, if nonfiction is up your alley at all.

This is a great bookstore! My wife and I went recently for books on herbalism, the staff knew exactly where the book was we were looking for! This place is essentially a library due to their massive selection, my only complaint is they are a bit pricey. Despite the price it is a great bookstore for variety and the knowledgeable staff!

Used book stores have changed over the last 40 years. Now every book is inventoried, catalogued and shelved precisely. If the store has it, the computer knows. I went in to this store mostly to browse and I was not disappointed. The shelves are labeled and the books are alphabetically organized. The book choices are varied as are the categories. There are two fully stocked floors of books and there are enough knowledgeable clerks to answer even the most esoteric query. Enjoy this bookstore, it is a gem.

This is a fantastic bookstore, with sections well labeled upstairs and downstairs. I came in looking for a specific book I needed and asked the clerk, who checked the inventory. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the book, but I ventured downstairs to the economics section anyway and found another book that I needed. I did ask if everything was inventoried and all titles entered in the computer, and I was told yes! Great way to run a business. This wasn’t my first time here, and it won’t be my last.

This place is huge! I thought I was in heaven upstairs, but then I went downstairs and it was books as far as the eye can see. Prices were reasonable! Buy secondhand. Buy local!

I really like this place! The atmosphere is so perfect for us book worms. They support there community in reselling used books and they feature local authors work. One thing they could work on is being more helpful with the location of some books — but I really like this place and hope it stays open for a long time to come!

This is a great bookstore with very friendly and helpful staff. I think I prefer this place over Auntie’s, although I like Auntie’s too. But if you want to talk about overpriced, used bookstores… Anyway, I came here with some friends. Two of us were looking to get The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Unfortunately 2nd Look Books(nor Hastings) had it. We decided to peruse the rest of the store. My husband found a Weird Washington book and is determined to visit all the places listed in it. I found a Greek mythology book that had an amazing cover. I know, I know, don’t judge a book by its cover. But it was beautiful and in good condition. There’s no way I could not get it. I could probably spend all day in here. Especially the section that holds all the classics. I want them all!

One of the best used bookstores in Spokane, and a favorite of mine since I was a law student back in the 1990’s. The staff is wonderful and the selection of books is extensive. I’ve found unexpected treasures here and always look forward to a visit when I have the time. A great place to spend a rainy afternoon! Or a sunny one. Or anytime really.

A great used book store, and the staff seems helpful and knowledgable. Only 4 stars because this place is EXPENSIVE! I feel like I could buy books new for the same price or cheaper. Outdated textbooks should not be selling for $ 50+. Old books on how to use a MSDOS should be in the dollar bin. Come on people…
