It is big inside and seems to carry a lot more toys, games then books or movies. It is always hard for me to focus on one main part of the store at a time, as their is so much going on around me. Not a lot of people when we went in, of course those few that sit there to watch whatever movie they have on that day(Finding Nemo) or trade cards with others. my four year old loves all the toys and their candy selection, took forever to get her out of there. I would go back for sure, I always go in there anyways to buy movies and take a look at their new items and gag gifts.

I have rented movies from them and they always seem to freeze half way though the movie. And the only thing they do about it is clean it off and say«good luck». What a waste of time, and money.

Hastings is the last of a dying breed. Someday we’ll tell our grandchildren how we used to go to a store to «rent» a movie. They will laugh at our«made up» fairy tales as they beam movies directly into their eyeballs from space. But we’ll know it’s true. When I used to buy CDs in boxes that were twice as tall as the CD case itself, Hastings was there for me. When I bought my first DVD player, but held on to my VHS tapes just in case, Hastings helped me make the transition. When I accidentally walked into Castle Super Store thinking it was still Hastings and ended up renting something anyhow, Hastings forgave me. When I avoided Hastings because the Insane Clown Posse would be there signing autographs, Hastings welcomed me back with open arms. Hastings, you have been there for me since I was a kid. I hope you are there for many more years. I love all your trinkets and books and toys and movies and movie sales and video games and vinyl records and comic books and popcorn. Don’t ever change.

This Hastings is in the nicest neighborhood of the 3 in my opinion. When it comes to animé all 3 Hastings are well stocked! When it comes to everything else: movies, comics, music well stocked too. Staff’s always been courteous and helpful here. My preferred Hastings to go to.

Large store. Lots of everything, as other Unilocalers have shared. They even have their own coffee shop on the far west end of the huge store. Warm greeting upon entering store. Was led directly to item we came in to find, so found wonderfully helpful customer service. The coffee shop uses a custom blend from Dillanos Roast House, in Sumner, WA. Good taste! There are tables for sitting and a limited selection of baked goods.

I wish we had one of these in Southern CA. Its kinda like Barnes & Noble meets Hot Topic meets Best Buy meets Redbox. I walked away with a little Seahawks plushie keychain, and my friend was able to buy the game that the local Gamestop was sold out of. Cashier was very friendly, and suggested her mandatory«upsell offers» but was not pushy about anything.

When I first stepped into Hastings I felt like I’d stepped into the Walmart of entertainment stores. So many books, dvds. My eyes had trouble focusing on one thing. I’d been wondering if there are any places in Spokane to rent dvds, I refuse to go to Redbox. Hastings is a bit too far for me to rent stuff, but now I know. Hastings seems like the go-to place for all things movie and music related. Kind of like a Barnes & Noble but they don’t focus exclusively on books. Though I didn’t go into the café, it sounds pretty awesome. And next time I find myself in this store I will definitely check it out.

The selection of books and music is pretty good. I wish I had a Barnes and Noble closer though. Because I find the staff at Hastings(maybe just this one) to be fairly useless.

Awesome used CDs, books and games. New stuff is pricey. Staff seems knowledgeable. I used the check-in offer without problem.

This review is actually for the Hasting’s Café. What a little gem! Starbucks is always SO cold and over crowded. Hastings Café is definitely the best choice for studying on the hill. The café is open until 11 pm, and they have a BOGO happy hour from 6 – 8 pm: D The awesome thing is, you get whatever two drinks you want, not two of the same. They have free wi-fi, tables, couches, chairs, and a power strip. They offer all the typical espresso chain drinks, baked goods ranging from bagels to cakes, and a cooler filled with other bottled beverages.
