We stopped in after dinner at 1911 Grill. The atmosphere was great and the gelato was excellent.

Lino’s is a hidden gem! I am never in this neck of the woods so I had no idea what I was missing out on! I have been able to get both coffee and the gelato during my visits and I can say both are equally delicious! The gelato is fluffy yet creamy and I truly don’t know how they make it taste so yummy. The coffee gives me just the kick that i need and the drinks are so pretty! I love taking pictures of my food and drink and love that the Linos workers use such intricate designs to make their food delicious and visually appealing!

Coffee review only. I had the Morocco which is my new favorite coffee drink. The milk is very light, unlike any espresso drink I’ve had. The only real Italian coffee house in town. A must try.

It seems like Lino’s Coffee can be a hit or miss place, but for me, it was definitely a hit. There was ample parking along Main St the day that I went. *There is 3 hour free parking along Main St from what I believe is FRIDAY-SUNDAY. No parking during race days.* In a city where parking is the cost of gold, this 3 hour pass was much appreciated. I was surprised at large and spacious Lino’s was. There was a very modern feel to the place. The front of the place is dedicated to coffee in the back, there is a part dedicated to beer and wine(?) in the back. It was a great place to work with a great wifi connection. I only had a couple dollars on me, and the barista was very accommodating to the situation. He recommended the Moroccan, also recommended by Unilocal. The reason why Lino’s gets 5 stars in my book is because the drink was not cloying at all — usually a huge problem with a lot of the sugary specialty drinks. The dark chocolate at the bottom of the drink was a refreshing change. I will definitely be returning another time! TLDR; spacious modern working environment, great wifi, innovative drinks that aren’t too sweet

Sometimes when I’m about to pass out from total exhaustion from being a working mom of 4 – i come to Lino’s and get 2 Moroccon coffee’s to go. I then secretly drink them both in the parking lot by Youglatte and go back to work. THEN I’M PRODUCTIVE. Love you Lino’s coffee. Even when the Snobby Dallara people cut in front of me.

Hadn’t been down Main St Speedway in a long time. Boy has it changed! Business seems to be thriving again! Tried Lino’s for a coffee. Very tasty and affordable. Will try their food next trip.

This was only my first visit so that’s why 3 stars. Can’t complain about anything. I got a caramel latte and it was good. My service was also good. I shall come back when I have more time to explore.

Cool euro-coffee bar on Main Street, Speedway. Linos is the Starbucks of Italy and for that reason alone, you should check out the only location on our continent. Gleaming white everything is everywhere. Space is large with clean lines and design. Huge counter to place your order. A large, step by step, coffee menu is laid out in simple layman’s terms for the first time user. Coffee drinks were terrific and stood out from other chain establishments. I will be back for this alone, especially for a caffeine buzz before I hit the three antique stores a block away. Surprisingly, the oval shaped coffee counter is also a bar on the back side. Now you are talking my language! Both high end Java and a respectable selection of craft beer? Yes. Please. Thank you. Main Street is rapidly changing, reinventing, and improving in Speedway. This location just adds to the depth of what it has to offer. Fuel up here with some primo bean juice to power your stroll up and down the historic strip.

Pretty good coffee place located on Main Street in speedway. I had the mug extra with Irish cream flavoring in it. It was pretty good but the chocolate that they put in the drink really over powers the flavoring that they put in so I felt it was kind of pointless. I also tried their vegetariano panini which I thought was really good. I actually wasn’t expecting it to taste as good as it did but the eggplant had a lot of flavor and went well with the scamorza cheese. It was a little pricy in my opinion($ 8.50), but it was good so I am not upset about it. The service was good as well. The coffee and panini came out fast, which was good because they weren’t busy at all. The staff was all very polite and asked me a couple of times if I needed or wanted anything else(since was doing some some work I needed to get done). Overall, this place is a good spot to go for some coffee and a sandwich. It’s also a nice place to go and get some work done outside without going to a more crowded(and loud) coffee shop like Starbucks.

Ending a great night and having a great local beer Mashcraft, but the coffee is great. Service is good and the location on Main Street in Speedway is central for Westside. Come on over and have a great local craft beer…

I am only reviewing the Wednesday lunch special, which happens to be lasagna. This is the best lasagna in the city by far. Come here on that day for that special. You will leave happy and probably send me a thank you note for telling you about it.

This place should really just stick with serving coffee. We thought we’d try something new and come here for dinner. There were only maybe 10 families there and we ordered two pizzas with separate toppings. We waited 50 minutes and they brought two pizzas with the completely wrong toppings. Sent it back and waited another hour and a half. The folks in front of us ordered before us and none of them had their meals either. The dad was yelling at the people behind the counter. The pizza was good, but it’s on a premade, precooked crust bread and the toppings were very basic. If I could have gotten a refund and left I would have. I’m not sure this place will make it if they can’t serve 10 families. They probably should just stick with coffee.

Why does this place not have 5⁄5? I LOVEIT. Only espresso drinks? COUNTMEIN. The interior is beautiful. Their picture menu– frickin awesome. If you’re in town, go here. If you can appreciate espresso, go here. If you like cute baristas, go here. 10⁄10 will be returning next time I’m in town.

Imagine you are a small business owner with a somewhat out-of-the-way location in a typically sleepy town. Then, imagine if 2 – 3 times per year, that town magically grows in population by hundreds of thousands. These are tourist-type folks, who travel on foot(many right by your shop) and are prepared to spend money on things like food and drink(which you serve). Q: Would you be open for business on such a day? A: Not if you own Lino’s.

My husband and I popped in here on my first visit to Speedway, and I’m so glad we did. The sun was shining outside so we ordered our specialty coffees(and a cannoli to share!) and took them outside. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the coffee and cannoli were both absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is much more Italian and much less American — but I loved that. The next time I’m in Speedway I will absolutely be back — perhaps to try a sandwich or the gelato! Bonus tidbits: They serve beer, wine and liquor and the wine selections were on point! They have board games available to borrow near the front door!

I would rate Lino’s as above average food and above average coffee(European taste), but with well below average service and a slightly higher price than most places for lunch. The ambiance is a large open space with a very high metal ceiling. It can be a bit drafty inside. The noise level is average. I think it is a great place to have a breakfast or lunch meeting with a few colleagues. The seating is comfortable — some tables are unique with softer sofa-like seats around the table. You order at the counter — lunch as well as coffee. Then you should get a number so that your food is brought to your table when ready. The prep time for food is quick for the high quality food Lino’s offers. They have 4 pasta dishes that are healthy, and a handful of sandwiches that are quite flavorful. The lunch sized portions are sized just right, in my opinion. You can also get a combo with your sandwich with chips and a soda. There is a large sign with names, sizes, pictures of ingredients and prices of the various unique coffees that are offered. The coffee here is top notch and a great pick me up or treat — a very nice divergence from Starbucks. I picked three stars because the poor service just doesn’t mesh well with the high quality coffee and food. The order taker seemed fairly clueless about the menu, and was not willing to ask her colleagues for help. We had to ask to get a number to take to our table. I think it’s silly to have to carry your own metal silverware to your table from the counter. We were never offered water to go with our meals. The price was $ 25.95 with tax for two people to have lunch and a tea/coffee. Kind of steep for the poor experience with the servers. I would give Lino’s another try, if only because of the convenience in the Speedway area and for the great coffee.

A hidden gem tucked away among racecar garages. I first discovered them when I was desperate for wifi — they have much more than great wifi(there wifi is pretty great, though!) I am not a Starbucks junky by any means — rather I prefer espresso and small Italian drinks; which is exactly what they serve. Try out an Italian soda or a Moroccan(think rich, dark and delicious.) Their authentic Italian menu of pizza, panini, pasta, salads, and gelato, as well as a full bar specializing in Indiana craft beer is quite delightful. Like all things Italian, their portions are small by American standards, but are delicious and fresh! Sit back, sip, savor, enjoy!

My co-workers and I came here while on our trip to Indianapolis. After a day on the track, we tried this place out before getting on our plane back home, and to be frank, this place wasn’t anything great. The service was pretty good, especially having to deal with over 20 of us. They were very friendly and accomodating. The prices weren’t to high either, but that be because the food wasn’t very good. The way my co-worker would put it, «If McDonald’s made pasta, it would taste like this» Which is unfortunately true. Their pasta wasn’t good at all. The pizza however, looked really good! I would recommend that! Their beer selection is actually really good! They also have a bar with harder alcohol as well! Soft drinks for those who don’t want to drink too. Overall; Fairly priced food that isn’t all too good, but the place itself is really neat! Try the pizza, skip the pasta(you’re welcome)

So their website as well as the voicemail when you call says they open at 7am. Would have been nice to know that before making the drive all the way into Indy. Very disappointed. Now that I am on Unilocal to write the review I see they open at 9am. Whoever runs the place should make sure they are consistent in the hours they post I meant to update this last week after Linos contacted me to let me know about the new hours –sorry! I really look forward to visiting ASAP and I just want everyone to know how polite the managers are. I emailed them to let them know about the hours not being correct and they responded quickly and in a professional manner :) Went to Linos last week(finally) and got the Chai Latte. The drink was absolutely delicious and I’m looking forward to coming back! Love the atmosphere and the barista was friendly.

Put this place on the map! If you are an Italian food and espresso lover, you have to visit Lino’s coffee. This place is as Italian as it gets. They have Wednesday lasagna days, along with wood fire grilled pizza all week long. They also have the best Italian cheeses along with pastries which scream Italy. If you are a college student and are looking for a place with Wi-Fi food and light music, this is the place for you. This isn’t your typical family-style Buca di Beppo restaurant as it is slightly modern, and serving size is reasonable. They also have a great selection of beer for alcohol lovers. First Western Hemisphere location tucked away in Speedway! The barista told me to order the Moroccan(«it’s our most popular»). I rarely question a barista, so I followed his lead. Who am I kidding? I am below novice when it comes to coffee knowledge — almost anything he would have said probably would make more sense then my order which typically sounds like, «What is an Americano again? Skim? What’s the difference between *** and ***? Tall? Skinny? Large? You tell me.» Lino’s is unsuspectingly tucked away in the Dallara Car Factory on Main Street in Speedway. In true Italian café fashion, you’ll find fizzy waters, biscotti and gelatto to pair beautifully with your beverage of choice. The space offers plenty of seating and natural light ideal for meetings. They also had a surprisingly large stash of games. Candyland, anyone? By the way, he was right on the Morocco. It was far from calorie-friendly with its oozling chocolate goodness but well worth the splurge.

I really wanted to like this place. I promise, I tried. First of all, the crowd was great. I rarely make it to the west side and when I do there is always a reminder of the great community that we tend to hear so little about. The space is beautiful. Large, open, clean. …but the service. It was not great. There were three of us that sat at the bar. It took about 15min to get someone’s attention to take our order after we received our menus. They did check on us often after that, but it was almost too little too late. The food was meh. We ordered the large meat board and standard tomato mozz bruschetta. It was OK, but probably not worth driving across town. As we were leaving we realized that they had gelato. While Doug ran out to get the car we were going to get a little to go. They couldn’t find an ice cream scoop, and unfortunately we couldn’t’ wait around for them to go to the back to clean the dirty one. I kind of felt bad because the people working behind the counter were so friendly, but the service level just wasn’t there. I would be willing to give it another go if I happen to be in the area, but I don’t think I would go out of my way.
