Absolutely horrible food. Everything lacked flavor. I can’t believe this place has 3 ½ stars. Little olé ladies must be active on Unilocal,or your run of the mill uncoultured trash. Either way, steer clear of this place. Panda Express has better.

This is the only Chinese restaurant I’ve found that simply will not accommodate someone with a shellfish allergy. They just say«Everything we make is cooked in the same oil; we can’t use fresh oil; the oil has shrimp in it.» Other than that, I can’t comment on the restaurant, because I can’t eat there.

I had been wanting to try this place as it is quite close to me. Based on other reviews, I expected well cooked but standard American-Asian food. I went during their lunch hour and while they were running their lunch specials. The lunch specials are very attractively priced, but I chose to order from the regular a la carte menu and got the shrimp with lobster sauce, which is the one dish if I see on the menu, I always order. It came out promptly, as did the side dish of fried rice and iced tea. Well cooked, but featuring my eternal nemesis: peas. It also had carrots and sliced water chestnuts. Although décor was pleasant and the staff was accommodating and nice, the meal was standard and nothing special that I couldn’t get anywhere else. I did read some reviews of how excellent the sesame chicken is, and that plus the affordable prices on the lunch specials means I will be back to try other things.

Disappointed. Food and service has gone downhill. Not willing to add chicken to my rice even when I offered to pay more. Took my business elsewhere.

The food is always excellent, particularly the fresh made pot stickers app. . Wonderful flavors in all the food from the Mu Shu to the chow mein. Not ever had a bad meal here, the staff(the one lady) is always pleasant and inviting. This is in my opinion the best Chinese in the whole area. Orange chicken, Mu Shu pork, and pot stickers are a must. ..

This place is amazing! The sesame chicken is hands down the best in town! The fried rice is perfectly cooked every time, you get the right mix in every bite. Which is very important for those of us that are obsessed with fried rice. Pot stickers, chicken and veggies, mu shu, spring rolls, generals chicken and so many more made to perfection. I eat here weekly and would do it more if I had my way. The staff is always very friendly and take care of my family fully. To go orders are ready when they say they will be and are hot. They even take extra time to wrap up anything with sauce in it so it doesn’t spill in the car.

Yep, today lunch got 5 stars. We have not been in that restaurant for at least 17 years. We just happened to be in Sparks today and decided to mosey in instead of waddling over to McDonalds, yet again, while out shopping. The place is comfy and clean done in dark hues. Our waitress was pleasant and welcoming. A good long list of lunch specials reasonably priced. I opted for Basil Chicken, bro had Sesame Chicken. Both had hot-sour soup, which is included in the lunch special, and the crab puff. Upon our first sip of soup we knew already that we were in the right place and why the heck did we wait 17 yrs to return?! Just the right texture and spicyness for us. Took a large order of soup home for the rest of the family. My Basil chicken was perfectly cooked. Lovely balance of basil and peppers. Even the fortune cookies were good. LOL Lots of parking in the shared lot. If you head to Big Lots around lunchtime stop in and give it a try.

Terrible. Ate part of our take-out, no hope for leftovers, even with the amount of food we bought. We ordered Wor Won Ton Soup, Pot Stickers, General Shrimp and House Chow Fun. The shrimp was mushy in all dishes, the stock in the soup was flavorless dishwater, the filling in the won tons smelled off(bad), The noodles weren’t quite wide or silky enough to qualify as chow fun and the sauce was(again) flavorless and pretty non-existent along with a severe absence of protein items or vegetables. When I order House, I expect something to be proud of. Although they were small and the sauce was unimpressive, we enjoyed the potstickers, so I guess that warrants one star. I regret that I drove 7 miles to pick up my take-out and actually was compelled to add a tip to my order. I spent a lot of of money on mostly garbage. We were really hopeful but we WON’T go back.

Small, family owned restaurant. Great service, although sometimes slow due to small family staff. Great prices, especially at lunch. Great order out servIce for business lunch. The sechwan chicken is awesome!

If you’re really hungry for Chinese food and want it delivered to you then stay a way from this place at all costs. My food took 2 hours to get to my house and this place is not even a mile away from my house. We even called after the first hour and the lady said it would be another half hour. Yeah, times that by 2. The ONLY way this could be forgiven is the food was amazing which it is not. It’s not disgusting, just not good especially for the price. I guess I should have read the reviews before I ordered. Looks like other people have had the same issues in and out of the restaurant.

If I was rating this solely on my meal the stars would be higher.. unfortunately my husband’s order wasn’t as good as mine. I had veggie mu shu… he had General’s. Twice. Neither time was bad by any means. The food is fresh. The service is very friendly. Ambiance is good. Small mom and pop shop. I will eat here again!

Avoid at all costs, this food is disgusting. We informed them of our displeasure and they just argued with us. I feel sorry for my trash can as that’s where I’m putting this garbage! Do yourself a favor and just no not even close!

Where is the pork? My girlfriend ordered pork chow mien, but one could not find the pork. Why? There was one piece of pork. How cheap. Go to somewhere else.

While visiting Reno with my family and brother-in-law’s family, I came here for lunch by myself and had a decent meal. It was not a particular busy Friday, and the service was OK. After the meal, I thought it would be a good place to bring the family in for dinner later. At dinner time, I proposed going to Soochow for a simple Chinese meal. Everyone agreed and my brother-in-law also joined us. All eight of us went into the restaurant, and I thought it would be a good-will gesture to bring additional business to the restaurant after my visit over lunch. With 4 hungry college kids who just came back from a skiing trip early in the day, we were looking forward to order a large meal and enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was awful. We waited for 20 minutes, and we were not able to get our order in. I gently reminded the waiter twice that we have been waiting. The restaurant had only us and one other party, who were wrapping up their meals. While I could see they are preparing the take-out order, I failed to see how keeping the dine-in customers in your restaurant waiting forever is a good business practice. We ended up taking our dinner business to the Sizzlers just across the street. I tipped well over the lunch because I believe in supporting local small business. I also tried to be nice and bring a big party to the support the restaurant on the same day, but I guess their business was so good that they could care less to have ours. Three stars for a decent lunch and one star for the awful dinner. I can also confidently say we will not be back again ever.

Service was good but a bit slow. It’s dark inside. I didn’t go for the lunch special because I find the menu too limiting. I had the noodle won ton soup. Broth was pretty good. Unfortunately there were only 2 wonton’s in it. Veggies were still crunchy and good, I would like a little more of it. Overall a decent bowl of noodle soup. Good for a not so quick lunch.

I ordered this for a company luncheon. This was the cheapest thing I could find in town that would be enough for the amount of people I had, and when I actually picked it up I was surprised at how much food we got for the price. This was much, much better than most of the Chinese fast food I’ve had and I’m getting it again for lunch today. With the Party Trays, I got steamed rice, Beef Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Chicken and the egg rolls and everything was great. We would have had plenty left over, but every single person went back for seconds. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the service for the price.
