When eating out with a group, this place is perfect. They have serve an assortment of Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Curry, Mongolian beef and phở all in the same place! The food is good. I like the salt and pepper squid which is excellent! The phở is nothing elaborate. They serve their fried eggrolls right… with lettuce and noodles, although they were a bit greasy the last time I was there.

Loved going here when I was in Reno! I’ve had many items from their menu and loved it all. Their lunch hours are very affordable but the prices are still reasonable regardless. My all-time favorite were their vermicelli with broiled pork and egg rolls. The noodles are thin and soaked up the sauce without ever losing its texture, the pork is very tasty and grilled nicely, the eggrolls are fried exceptionally, and the lettuce is very fresh and gives a good crunch. The individual pieces combines very well together and I’m always so full by the end of it!

This has been our favorite phở/noodle spot for a while now. The quality is alway great and the service is always prompt and priendly. There are so many good dishes to choose from but the spring rolls, Wor Won Ton and the vermicelli noodles with barbecue pork/imperial rolls are my favorites.

Best Asian place I’ve ever had in Reno! The egg drop soup was finally not watery. The pot stickers weren’t too greasy. They have a lunch special from 11am to 3pm for an affordable price. Overall it was extremely satisfying. Will definitely come back.

Split decision here. They tout their Chinese food as being some of the best in the country so I tried the dry style chow fun. The noodles I got were a bit mushy, and there was a lot of gravy for it being«dry». Not impressed. Bf on the other hand got their phở, which he has been comparing to other joints in Reno and still considers theirs the best. Verdict? Stick with the Vietnamese food.

Summer rolls… if you’re not sure what to order, munch on these while you think about it. The soup here is the best I have had personally in the Reno area. It was gewd to my taste buds, so see if yours will agree. Worth stopping by if you haven’t yet.

The service is very slow. This place is not even that busy. There is a few empty tables left. We ordered three different type of phở. They tasted okay but nothing to write home about.

My boyfriend and I used to come here all the time, and it was our favorite phở in the Reno area. Today we returned, and were greeted with slow service, wrong orders, and little effort to fix it. I understand they were busy, but they did not even bring water or acknowledge us for over 30 minutes, at which point they took our orders and informed us it would be a 30 minute wait. Why not tell us that when we first sat down? An hour is a long waiting time for phở. My boyfriend ordered an XL phở, and when it was delivered it was not an XL, and the waitress didn’t offer to fix it. Another Unilocal reviewer mentioned they have new owners… I am hoping this is the reason for my bad experience today.

I’ve ordered from here a few times and it’s always delicious! I love phở because it’s totally customizable to my preferences. This place has fresh ingredients, good portions and very fair pricing. If you’re a veghead they have a few awesome options. HIGHLY recommended the tofu spring rolls and you better dip them in that peanut sauce pal! Nomnom. And multiple thumbs up for their welcoming/kind and prompt service!

The restaurant is under new ownership. The signature dish that we would crave to eat the«Singapore Mei Fun» has fallen from the«better than at the Bellagio» rating and the broth for the Phở has changed as well. Sadly we don’t come here as often as a result anymore.

It was okay, the hot and sour soup was above average, the General’s Chicken was average and the Walnut Shrimp was good. Nothing really to write home about and given the number of other average Chinese places in the area, I am not sure we will hurry back for more.

I spent a week in Sparks, and SK was the BEST meal I ate the whole trip! I had #18 … Tofu & Vermicelli, with a little dish of fish sauce. I added a little RHCS(Sriracha), stirred it around, and it was terrific. I ate the whole bowl in about 10 minutes. Definitely worth a stop here.

We do not go here often enough. I guess it just is not close enough to home. I had the vermicelli noodle with pork and spring roll. my god this was so good, I mean really good. If it were for the fact I did not want to look like a pig I would have ordered another serving. Now you have to understand I usually take part of my meal home because I just get too full, but I would have forced myself. As always the folks were friendly and good service.

This is a combination of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes which can be bad for some other restaurants where the food can be not authentic, but NOT this place. This place makes authentic dishes for both ethnic. –You have to try the SHRIMP spring rolls. They are fresh with shrimp, noodles, and lettuce. They have evenly components on a spring roll. The peanut dipping sauce is very good. If you like spicy, put some of the red chile on it for some extra flavor. –The PHO noodle has a flavorful broth and good flanks, tendons, and tripe. If you love PHO, order the #1 combination. You cannot also go wrong with the Vietnames rice dishes, like the pork chops. –If you rather have Chinese food, good selections for regular dishes like Kung Pao Chicken/Beef, Chow Fun, etc. Overall, good flavor as all Chinese food should be. Overall, the owner is very hospitable and nice.

My husband brought home some soup and pot stickers the other day from SK Noodle. I’ve never been before and tried one of the pot stickers(my favorite thing!) — it was super tasty. This review however is not about that night — it’s about last night — when I actually ordered a bucket load of food for the family and went in to pick it up. I ordered over the phone and asked for 2 orders of pot stickers, 1 spring roll, 1 seafood soup, 1 sesame chicken and 1 chicken chow mien. My daughter and I pulled up to the crowded parking lot(shared with Bullys and several other places to eat) about 30 minutes later. The place is easy to find and well identified. Looks are decieving. The inside of this place seems more like a café or a greasy spoon joint rather than a reputable Chinese place. I was a little worried but walked up to the counter anyways to get our order. It was super busy and the employees were still very friendly — they were all smiles and had our food ready to go and boxed up. At home we really enjoyed the dinner. I’m rating it 5 stars because the customer service is better at SK Noodles but I like the pot sticker sauce at Fortune Palace better. My husband likes SK Noodles better than Fortune Palace so this will be our new place! I wonder if they ever put out coupons or have a rewards card?

To me, SK Noodle equals soup. I’ve tried a few of their dishes and I keep coming back to their Wor Won Ton with the Fried won tons and no noodles. The broth is excellent.(Not too salty, no msg, and good flavor.) I always order take out and I really appreciate that they separate the won ton, chicken, shrimp, pork, and veggies from the broth so they don’t become mushy. The little baggie of bean sprouts and sliced jalapenos gives the soup and additional dimension that I really enjoy. Thanks to Steve T. and Ly S. for showing me the way to my go to won ton soup in Reno.

I’ve gotten take out from here, a few years ago. I was not happy with the phở broth at that time, it was a little dark and one of the spices was pretty potent, like the star anise. Since then, haven’t made it back because of the various other options and standbys in town, even though Steve T. has made it evident it is supposed to be one of the top in Reno. I work in the area now, and a little over Golden Flower, I came for lunch and it was pretty packed, so that is a good sign. The spring rolls were good and tasty, nothing different from the norm. And the phở was really good, I always just get plain rare steak phở and it really hit the spot. I will be back for sure, and excited to maybe venture out of my normal order and try some of the things Steve has had, just because I know this is a good place to try them at.

January 17, 2015 Saturday — 4PM Dinner 2 adults Atmosphere — 4 stars Food — 4 stars Service — 5 stars Background — My wife was craving noodles. Atmosphere — Nothing special, kinda plain, and I thought the orange paint was weird orange, my wife disagrees. Food Drinks — 33 Export beer from Vietnam. The menu was a little confusing as it said 33 Tiger. But the two people working the table were able to get it to me. Yeah we had two servers. My Meal Main Course — #3, Phở, Tai Nam which is rare steak and well done flank steak. For about $ 7 gets you a huge bowl of Phở. The broth was flavorful and not salty, I had the jalapenos to give it some heat. As for the protein, the rare steak was the best. Noodles of course were dominated the bowl but they were solid rice noodles. Service — This was the first time here. We walked in and assumed you ordered at the counter so we grabbed a menu next to register and sat to read it. Next thing we know we had a guy taking our drink order. After that another guy was taking order. We had the whole place working for us. Future — Yes.

Maybe we caught them on an off day… I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt. My car club friends were visiting from NorCal and a few of them were craving phở. Since I’m now the new«local» guide, they asked me to pick the place. So of course I go on my Unilocal app and start reading reviews. I picked SK Noodles because most of their bad reviews were about their Chinese food and a few raves about the authenticity of their broth. Our party of 8 entered the restaurant, no greeting or anything so after standing around my friend picked one of their circular tables and we sat ourselves. I guess a server saw us and came by with some menus. We took a look on the menu, debated about whether or not to order Chinese food, and waited for our server to come back. I guess since we were on the side, they couldn’t see whether we were ready to order or not so my friend just got up and asked the server to come over. I’ll give them points for their willingness to do separate checks for our party. Two of my friends got excited that their phở comes in XL size and wanted to see how it stacks up with their bay area favorites. First disappointment, they are out of beef broth! It’s only 7:00pm and they’re out of their main broth? I wondered whether this place was that popular or they just miscalculated… I mean, I’ve never heard of a place running out of broth but then again I’ve never heard of a place running out of straws either. Did their delivery truck not come or something? Second disappointment, their boba drinks are made from powder. I asked the guy if they use fresh avocado and he told me that is too fancy and that they only use powder here. Supposedly, their supplier forgot to send them the boba and they won’t have any til the next shipment. Oh darn, I guess I’ll stick to 101 Taiwanese and if you must know, they do use fresh avocado there but powder for most other stuff… but I digress! I ordered the beef ball phở and it came with chicken broth since they were out of the beef. It didn’t taste like anything so I just asked for more limes and doused my broth hoisin sauce and sriracha. I might come back and try their beef broth or if anyone has any recommendations, feel free to send me a note.
