This review is for the«fudge factory» counter within Gramma Gina’s which is within the world’s largest sporting goods store under one roof(Scheels). There is a large variety of real cream and butter fudge including seasonal varieties like eggnog fudge during Christmas time. The fudge is fresh and made on-site in the fudge shop. You may request a sample to narrow down your selection but at times that may result in a longer visit as you wait for those in front of you to sample. I bought a variety of 6 different kinds and each piece is large enough to share… and you really should unless you want to risk a piggy-pig sugar coma… oink oink. Help at the counter on this visit was not as friendly as I have experienced here in the past… maybe a fluke but the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars for this review. One of these days I’ll try out the other offerings in the café like one of their hot sandwiches«Philly Elk, Bison Meatball or Buffalo Bleu»…nice to pet… better to chew!

We were led into this in-house food place inside the newly built Scheels sports store [they say it’s the world’s biggest sports store, ever] — & enjoyed immensely the fudge samples we got after taking our turn in a continuing line-up of shoppers before the counter. Deciding after the sample tasting that the fudges are A-OK, we then got a box of 4 fudge squares plus 2 free squares at a price of $ 10.00 — -not bad!!! these squares are supposed to last without refrigeration for the next 10 days, which they tell customers, that differs from what the suppliers tell them which is «good for 3 weeks»(did i remember it right? let’s see to that! they’re just too sweet to be eaten more than 3 squares in one sitting; they have no-sugar varieties, though, for those w/diabetes & similar problems)…there are 2 other counters for their sandwiches and other sweet/dessert items… perhaps, i have to try them out next time. Service was OK – everybody seems to be enjoying their job to the hilt! — -I just have to say that the middle-aged woman in the counter was behaving like she’s careful with us, or just something different — perhaps I looked different with my hair that needs a haircut(someone told me recently) – but which behavior I didn’t sense from the much younger man who was manning & stirring their almonds sweets-offering then being cooked in a vat.
