My go-to for a weekday sandwich or pie. This is Connecticut, land of pizza snobs and a locale that is firmly within the Pizza Belt, and Giovanni’s stands tall. It’s not Sally’s or Pepe’s, of course, but it’s quality pizza. The sauce has nice flavor, the cheese is melted perfectly, and the crust is good. I’m also particular to their hot Italian combo… nice amount of meat, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. Throw it in the pizza oven and toast up that tasty bread nicely, boom — you’re ready for the rest of the afternoon at the office. Give ‘em a shot. The staff is friendly, they offer delivery for those rainy or snowy days, and the prices are fair.

My family and I drove up to Connecticut for the weekend for some R&R, we thought we’d try some of the local pizza. After hearing so much about Giovannios Pizzeria we gave it a shot. «Straight Garbage», very little pizza sauce, the crust was the consistency of a great piece of cardboard. Customer service was average at best. Would not go back, and I really love pizza.

Great classic cheese and pepperoni pizza. Excellent for a quick bite off 84. Perfect ratio of cheese and sauce.

Staying in the hotel next door for business, so this place is convenient, first time I was there, the first thing I noticed is true customer service, they make it a point to get to know their customer and that alone says a lot. The food… you have to try the meatball sub, hands down one of the best I’ve ever had.

As a New Yorker who really loves pizza, this was very good. A soft, fuller pizza with a slightly sweet sauce. I prefer thin crust but this was tasty for a soft doughy pizza. The mild wings were very good however I should have ordered hot. Definitely cooked to order and much larger than typical wings. They have a great selections of pies, salads, subs and dinners. Other diners were ordering meals which looked very good. The staff was polite, welcoming and friendly. It’s a great stop off of I-84. I’d go back.

Its a small place with the friendly service that makes you feel like family. Brian the owner is awesome. He is very friendly. The food is great. Im not huge on pan pizza but everything else ive had is above par. Their chilli is meat filled not soupy. The meatball ginder and chicken salad are delicious. Pizza is good, im just a paper thin crust kind of guy.

We’re not from the area but make a point to stop by when passing through. Quality pizza, subs, wings and the service is great. Even though we don’t go frequently, they know it’s us when we call the order in. Our favorite thing is the cheesesteak grinder; go figure for a pizza shop. They really know what they’re doing here. Can’t imagine you could go wrong with anything you order!
