The café is in the building my office is in. Breakfast burritos and bagels are the go to. Everything else is just average.

This place used to be a good spot for lunch, but has gone downhill with the recent ownership change. Selections are limited and lunch is expensive. You can get cheaper food at the 395 building. Pedro is the man

They have pretty good daily specials and soups. Their Philly cheese steak is my go-to/safe item because I already know it’s pretty good. Everything else is a hit or miss. DONOT get the truffle fries… they sound good, but they are the worst fries you will ever taste. Definitely not worth the $ 5. I would rather get fries from McDonalds. The people working there are really friendly though!

I ordered The Pointe Burger and it came with fries. Burger was good, but nothing I would rave about. Your usual bun, beef patty, some lettuce, tomato, and thousand island. Size was a bit smaller compared to a burger that I can get at Carl’s Jr. for 7 bucks. Fries was a bit below my expectations. My co-workers ordered Garlic cheese fries, which was something new to me. That was good, wish I would have asked for that instead of my regular fries. Atmosphere is ok, it’s inside an office building so a-okay place to eat by yourself, saw lots of people doing that. Left feeling like I over paid for my burger. My co worker ordered a chicken sesame oil salad($ 7), she left unsatisfied also. =(

This family owned and operated café is wonderful to visit — friendly people(especially the owner David who knows you by name and asks how you are doing), tasty food and unique specials! My coworkers have all ordered lunch from here. A good tip is to call your order during the busy lunch time to save yourself time from having to stand and wait for your order. I highly recommend the tender, juicy chicken kabobs that other reviewers are talking about, which comes with a nice helping of rice and salad and served every other Wednesdays. The chicken quesadilla with cheese is also just as juicy and tender — you get 6 reasonably sized slices for only $ 6.95. Smoked turkey croissant is lightly toasted and comes with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Unfortunately as a vegetarian now, I can no longer eat these delectable dishes, but there are also a number of delicious vegetarian entrees to choose from, such as the grilled cheese sandwich, falafel, veggie burger, super veggie sandwich, etc. They also have a nice selection of seasonal lattes and drinks to choose from. The hot chai latte with soy milk is my favorite — no other chai that I have tasted compares to it! Best part — they will fix your order if it’s not to your expectations! All in all, a wonderful little café with down-to-earth friendly people and wonderful food — the way a café should be!

This is sort of a captive audience type of café, being that it’s located in our office building at the end of Oyster Point Blvd, and hey, without jumping in your car and driving somewhere, where else are you going to get hot food unless you go out on a hot day and find a nice rat near the water. Anyway, for all that they are GREAT! Very friendly staff and the food is fresh and varied enough to eat here every day and not get too tired of it. They have Mexican, Sandwiches, Italian, Middle Eastern, Salads, American, there’s something here for everyone and the cooks in the kitchen know how to do it all very well. My favorite is the hamburger but I’ve had many other things on the menu and the prices here are excellent. Keep up the good work.

(**)UPDATE(**) Thursday — had the burrito special. the size was perfect, all of the ingredients were on point and it was DELICIOUS. was served with chips and salsa. Friday — ordered the grilled veggie sandwich(I DIDNTSEETHESPECIALWASREDCURRYTALIPIA… DISAPPOINTED!) and it was AMAZING. eggplant, veggies, served still hot with melting cheese. i got it because i wasn’t starving, it was $ 5 and figured it’d be small and filling. wrong. HUGEANDEXTRAFILLING. yet i finished the whole thing. everything I’ve had here has been 4 – 5 star worthy(and i dine out, a lot). the service is still on point and all of the food is great. found out I’m covering this office for another week and I’m stoked mainly due to this café having awesome variety of food. mmmm Wednesday’s kebabs, we shall meat(get it?) again.

In the years I have been coming here, several times a week, I have never gotten bored with the variety of food offered here. Most notably: — Grilled Chicken Kebabs, now EVERYWEDNESDAY. Perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken chunks served on a platter with salad and rice. it ALWAYS sells out on kebab day! — Juicy burgers cooked to order. That’s right, you can get it pink on the inside, as it should be. This burger, served with fries, is not only a good deal, but one of the best I’ve had outside of a pub. — Every Thursday is Burrito day. They know how to make a good fresh salsa, and it really works in the burrito. — The Falafel wrap is a sure winner if you want to go veggie. Packed with flava, crunch, and a little kick of spice. Finally, service is king here. I’m always greeted with a smile and everyone who works there seems to know everyone who eats there. Isn’t that where you want to be right now?

It is what it is… a café in a business complex. That said, it will fill your tummy when you’re hungry(unless you’re hungry on the weekends, then you’re SOL). I’ve only sampled their deli sammies, and they were pretty decent. However, I think I would rather opt to jump in my car and head over to Specialty’s Café and Bakery over on Gateway. I prefer their sammies(and the fact that you can order them online!).

I hate writing negative reviews but sometimes you just have to do it. This place is very lackluster. Portions are small and there’s lack of uniqueness to the taste. I wish there’s more to say. It’s just, for lack of a better word, boring. If you don’t have time or you’re working in that building i guess its ok to run down and get a quickie. Good luck Pointe Café. I hope you guys can come up with something to remember you by. Peace

I work at the building right across from this Café. Our company orders food from different places every Wednesday. On one occasion we decided to order from The Pointe Café(extremely convenient)! My boss had ordered their steamed vegetables, beef and chicken kebobs, fresh salad, and their hummus and pita bread. One word: Amazing! Coming from a person who isn’t a big fan of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern foods, the savory tastes of the chicken and beef kebobs were memorable. 2 thumbs up and 4 stars for this local café!

Pretty much the only lunch option within walking distance of my work, other than the crappy company cafeteria. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t expecting much from an office building café, but I was surprised at how good the food was– a mix of Mediterranean options along with sandwiches, burgers, and salads. They’ve some interesting daily specials at reasonable prices. They even have shawerma! I prefer the med. wraps and kebabs, but everything else looks nice too.

I think it is fitting that my first review here on Unilocal!would be the place that I go to lunch multiple times a week to. This place is hidden in the lobby of a large office building, but if you find it you won’t be sorry. They have a pretty large menu and range from burgers and fries to mediterranean, to soups and salads. My personal favs are the kabobs, shawermas(sp), and the salmon burger. Prices are reasonable for the bay area in general and the thing I like the best about this place is that it is a short walk along the marina from work. A great way to take advantage of the beautiful weather here and also to walk around a little after eating a big lunch.

Really good service. The waitress made sure our drinks were never empty. Had the Humphrey Seafood Melt and Clam Chowder. The chowder was the bomb; however, the seafood melt was so… so…
