If you are tired of wingstop or just a wing lover come here! This place is located inside Hometown Heroes and they have the right amount of varieties to serve your needs. The honey garlic wings are by far one of the best wings I’ve tried in a long time. Dont forget to try the kim chi fried rice! You wont be disappointed. Thanks Crackbirds I see a bright future ahead of yall.

Located in the back of a bar (Hometown Heroes), order at the door of the kitchen rather than at the bar.
Very casual environment, with great wings with big flavor. I would recommend getting the wings.

This place has awesome wings! I recommend the honey garlic wings. They were probably the crispest wings I’ve ever had. We also had the fries with bacon, cheese, etc (forgot the name). That was pretty delicious as well. Kind of sucks that they have to operate in the back of a bar but it’s good news for the people going to the bar. One of the waiters mentioned that the might open a food truck or b&m store soon. Hope that comes to fruition!

HELLA GOOD, KIMCHEE RICE BOMB AF!!! The only sad part is that I am underage and I’m not allowed inside because it’s connected to a bar. They need to change that.

Checked out Hometown Heroes/​The Crackbirds on their 1^st ever Taco Tuesday! I was impressed! Service was great! Food was off the hook! I will definitely be back soon!

The best wings on the Peninsula.
The true definition of a hidden gem on the outskirts of the big City. You go into a (new-​ish) Bar, walk back to the pool tables and look for the CrackBirds neon sign to find it.
The chef/​owner is from one of my favorites in San Francisco called Town Hall. Heard about the place from Eater SF and thought we would give it a try.
We tried almost everything on the menu. The basic and Asian wings were fantastic. The waffle grilled cheese, off the charts, the truffle garlic fries, mind blowing good. Next time we will try the spam kimchi fried rice.
The service was great. Hot, fresh food. The only negative is the somewhat unwelcoming Bar (Hometown Hero’s) that it is inside of. Bartender’s don’t like gold cards I guess. We were ignored.
Downtown South City is gentrifying right before your eyes because of high rents elsewhere. I’m not sure if the current residents are ready for the German car invasion. There are a lot of undiscovered gems in downtown now. CrackBirds is at the top of the list.
I wish these guys a ton of success and hope they find a way to get in to their own place or at least a food truck very soon.

My girlfriend stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to get a drink and have some good food in south city. Little did we know we would find some amazing chickens wings, awesome shrimp garlic noodles, solid drinks and the Warriors game too! The bar crack birds is located in, hometown heroes is a cool bar you would normally find in the city. They have a good happy hour and offer full sports bar entertainment. We will be back for the wings fasho!

Awesome chicken sandwich, great wings, and I have never met someone as enthusiastic about fried chicken as Miguel. Gives Atlanta’s southern fried chicken a run for its money!

Wings on point! First time there today and the food was great! Would definitely come back.

My friends and I stopped by for some drinks after a wedding shower. This place is in a place called HOMETOWN HEROES. The kitchen side is called CRACKBIRDS.
And let me tell you… They know how to throw it down in the kitchen! We only planned to order drinks then I looked at their food menu and everything just caught my eye! We first ordered wings and garlic fries. The orders came out quickly! — it was delicious!!!
(We already ate prior to this but we couldn’t resist)
We were so amazed with our first order so we ordered practically everything in the menu!
Fried chicken wings — crunchy and lots of flavor
Garlic fries — amazing!
Spam Kimchi Fried Rice — this was the best I’ve ever had! Must try!!!
Shrimp Garlic Noodle — this is not just an ordinary garlic noodle! It had a lot of flavor and everything was just perfect. My friends and I couldn’t stop eating! Haha
Brussel sprouts — must try!!! So much flavor!
If you’re looking for a place to just chill and drink definitely try this place and try their food entrée! You will want to come back!

We had the Rich Rocka wings with waffles and they were to die for! The sticky sauce was a perfect combination of sweet honey and salty goodness with the finishing touches of crispy crunchy skin! yum! A must-​have and I will definitely be back for more. Nom Nom Nom!
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice kick back vibe to hang with friends any day of the week.

Wings are ok. Definitely over priced! No wings should be 6 for $ 9… Especially at a bar. The place is inside hometown heroes so don’t get lost and confused like we did!

These guys know how to put it down in the kitchen. Chef Justin has 10 years in the kitchen. He’s worked at places like Roy’s in San Diego, Le Colonial SF, Town Hall and even owned his own catering business. But who cares right? It’s all about the food. Chicken wings, esp the Soy Garlic wings are to die for. Kimchee fried rice and the garlic noodles with shrimp are delicious but Coke hungry because the serving is big. Great food, genuine people that care about their food and the people that are eating it.

The bar is alright with service being a little slow but the food is super yummy. Kimchi fried rice and garlic noodles were bomb!

Great hang out spot to grab some drinks with your friends, watch some football, eat yummy yummy food!
The staff is great, the chef is great, the food is definitely great!
