I approached the bar on a 45 min break looking for a quick bite too eat and I was left at the bar for 10 minutes with no explanation. The bartender not only acknowledged my presence but consciously chose to take customers after I had been waiting who had walked up after me deeming them more important and told me what he was going too do. I then walked over to the manager after this unabashed bartender continues to scrounge for tips with people asking questions and he had nothing to say except, «sorry,» which did not help nor did he address the fact I was treated as a back burner priority. I noticed that all the black people were either sitting waiting to be seated or looking around for assistance. The bartender just so happened to choose the white women who came in after me too help and considered that maybe the black man in front of him would not tip, look for a deal, and must speak eloquently because it seems like they asked for this review. I was going to order but instead I went without because my money does not discriminate but this place does. Do better Holiday Inn, do not let second rate management in adjacent restaurants feed your potential clients of color because they are offensive… I will do my best to never patron this place and any other establishments that align with their customer service policies.

really great happy hour spot. delicious appetizers and consistent cocktails. the lounge is the go-to spot for me and my friends, especially during a game night. be aware it gets jam packed during Warriors games, so if you’re looking for a good spot, arrive early. atmosphere is good but it’s a little dark. the lounge area staff is the great! shout out to Kianna and Carla! I’d give you girls 5 stars but the review is for the restaurant as a whole.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and I’ve been mostly pleased with the food and service. My first visit we had the Southwest grilled chicken wrap and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were good. Today we had the the chicken wrap and the salmon BLT. I really like the salmon BLT although there was a little too much charcoal burned on some of the fish. My only real disappointment was the iced tea. It was bitter-and for me that’s a huge disappointment since I really like a good iced tea.

Man, will some1 please answer this! Why in the heck do we have to pay .25 per roll for bread rolls? This is stupid. I mean like are you rationing bread? I think I’ll make a few calls… I mean us this worth .25?

I enjoyed the avocado and chicken pot stickers, calamari, and chicken+cheese nachos during the happy hour. I felt the service responsiveness and speed could be further enhanced as we waited for service. We ordered a pitcher of drinks. If you expect fast service, I recommend skipping this place for dinner until its service situation can be enhanced. Like the another reviewer wrote that this restaurant is not the best dinner place due to its impaired service speed.

Nice spot to grab a drink and a bite after an event at the SSF conference center. Menu is varied. Had the french onion soup and chicken lettuce wraps. Bar is a large U shape. Plenty of seating. Dark and intimate ambiance.

Everything on the menu here is amazing. The chicken nachos are probably the best nachos I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. I’d do terrible things to innocent people for those nachos. I’m usually not a big rib girl either, but Houlihans’ ribs are worth writing home about. It’s a great restaurant, quiet-dark atmosphere, with very rich and flavorful food. The pricing is very reasonable and the location is good. Only knock on this personal favorite is their dessert selection. It’s average at best.

Conveniently located right inside the Holiday Inn. Sat at the bar and both bartenders were friendly and timely. Happy hour consisted of $ 5 glasses of house wine. I ordered the Brentwood chicken sandwich with a side salad. The side salad is a huge portion, almost enough for a dinner. The honey mustard tastes like it’s made in house, very delicious. The chicken salad was pretty good, I wish the cheese was a little melted but there is plenty of flavor in this sandwich already. My coworker ordered fish tacos and got a southwestern chicken wrap instead. It looked tasty enough so he ate it anyway and enjoyed it.

Saturday night… Had a craving for dessert so decided to try Houlihan’s. Waited for 10 minutes while waitresses were busy cleaning tables, looking like their $h!t didn’t stink. Tried to stop a young waiter who said he’d be right back. NOT. Had to go find a waiter to just friggin order dessert. Place was only 10% full in restaurant area. Sad. Won’t come back ever to this Houlihan’s. If this is the only one, it’ll shut down soon.

I’ve been here several times, mostly for happy hour, twice with a large party of 20 or more. Appetizers and drinks are great, entrees werent spectacular but not bad either. This review is primarily for the customer service provided with the last visit. The GM, Brian, was very prompt and courteous with his email responses prior to the dinner. The night of, he and our server Jordan were very accommodating and most importantly, patient and collected. If there was any disdain for our somewhat boisterous party, I would’ve never known. 5 stars for providing us with superior service and taking care of the children’s menu. Definitely recommending this place to others.

You walk in to a dimly lit, open room with bar seats available. Staff is polite, helpful, and quick to refill drinks. As for the food,(because that’s all anyone cares about) the salmon blt was really good, as is the organic power green salad. I didn’t know I was a fan of goat cheese until I tried this salad! I cannot comment on the drinks as I don’t drink alcohol. However, friends said they were pretty decent. I would recommend for a lunch; they also serve some dinner options that I will try one day.

I’ve been here several times now over the course of a few months. Go for breakfast, skip it for dinner. My Unilocal math: 5 stars(for breakfast) + 1 star(for dinner) divided by 2 mealtimes = 3 stars. Breakfast is phenomenol here. I ordered the pancakes filled with blueberries, topped with strawberries, and a side of bacon and coffee. It was heaven on Earth. To think that adjacent IHOP and Denny’s even survive with Houlihan’s so closeby is a mystery. We’re talking DELICIOUS with perfect service in the morning. It just sort of sucks that they totally drop the ball in the afternoon and evening with piss poor, confused(and semi-rude) service and several mediocre entrees. The evening servers have this annoying tendancy to set down the entrée and immediately run away as if they are only interested in doing the bare minimum. It hasn’t been everyone, but it’s happened more than once. Who wants to pay 20%+ for that kind of ambivalent non-attention? Not I. I had their chicken sandwich once, and it was borderline disgusting. Unmelted Gouda cheese served atop hot, wilted lettuce and bread straight out of the bag onto the plate. Not impressed with that. Their chicken caesar salad was pretty good and had some nice touches(polenta croutons that unfortunately tasted reheated) but wasn’t worth the $ 12. Their baked potato soup and spinach dip with cheesy lavash(almost like a pizza) are both delicious. The panko fried shrimp is an excellent dish, while their fish tacos left much to be desired. All in all, the prices are quite fair, but too high to be called a true value. It’s your average sit-down restaurant, but they do have some flares. The breakfast is what keeps me coming back though. I’m all about it!

I’ve eaten at Houlihan’s in Dallas occasionally along with a couple of happy hours for the last few years now and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. It’s a great place for happy hour because of their good drink and appetizer prices. I was super excited to find out that there was one in South San Francisco so I had to go! My absolute favorite dish is the Thai chicken wings appetizer. The sauce is crazy good and there’s always a dab of chili sauce to go with it. The wings are usually crispy and fresh, but I found that the ones I had in the South SF location tasted a tad bit old. I also had the grilled salmon, mashers, and green beans. The salmon was cooked well, mashers were chunky, and the green beans were crunchy. Nice, basic dish!

(stuffed chicken breast, salmon, tilapia, French toast, veggies, beef strip with mushroom gravy, omelet station, garlic mashed potatoes, 1-mimosa per customer, dessert bar to name a few of their brunch items.) The brunch was comparable to the $ 24.95 price. I will def go again.

Pretty good for happy hour! I started to come here more often when I started working in South San Francisco. I can’t say I’ve been here for dinner or anything but this is a great place for hangouts. They have outdoor seating which I’m sure you have to reserve prior but there’s a TV and everything included! I’ve sat outside to watch the giants game once and it was super busy. Service is still very friendly despite how busy this place can get. They have pretty good apps like their stuffed mushrooms, fries and artichoke dip. Their avocado chicken rolls however don’t match up to the ones at BJs! Other than that, no serious complaints. =) They also have a pretty good selection of drinks and I believe happy hour is from 5−7PM M-F! Lots of TVs all around and overall pretty sweet spot. If you’re looking for a good happy hour place and BJs or Elephant Bar just doesn’t cut it anymore, Houlihans is great! I actually prefer«Houlies» over Ebar. Service is better, drinks are better and apps are yummy.

My family and I were staying here at the Holiday Inn. We came here out of convenience. I must say we love it! Great service, great food & they are quick! It’s great they are quick because of the fast turn around of clientele. The bar is very generous with their drinks(if you know what I mean). The girls at the bar are super sweet & wanted to make sure I liked my drinks they made. The only reason I would dock off .5 is because my lemon was served with mold on it. I mentioned it to my waiter & they were super apologetic, took back right away. We enjoyed our experience here everyday.

Houlihan’s in my opinion, is another secret Jem that I was fortunate to have been too thanks to friends who knew about it. It’s a great place for groups, parties and most importantly happy hours and sporting events. I first came here during happy hour to watch the NBA playoffs about two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to find this really nice sized restaurant in the lobby of the Holiday Inn hotel. The main focus of Houlihan’s is the bar setup. Its huge and very modern, with plenty of space for people to eat and drink at. Their menu has some real awesome food on it. I personally love the Thai chicken wings, the nachos(which is huge and served with ground chicken) and the stuffed mushrooms. They also have really good cocktails and even the option to have them served by the pitcher for about $ 10, depending on what you get. The waitresses are super friendly and very accommodating. When you’re a regular they seem to remember who you are and what you’re favorites are. Which I must say is a plus and makes things very easy. Their main lounge/eating area is a sports lovers dream. The space has about five huge televisions screens to watch sporting events on and has a huge wrap around couch that lines the walls. With coffee tables and extra seating you can fit about 50 people in that one space. The only problem with that is, you feel like they’re right on top of you. It’s definitely not fun if you’re claustrophobic. Plus it can be hard to maneuver when going back and forth. It’s also kinda dark in there. It reminded me of a Vegas hotel where it’s so dark you lose track of time. It’s fun when you’re with you’re friends or co-workers but not if you’re married or have a family I guess, Lol. But Every time I’ve been here it’s been fun so I cant wait to go back. I will say it beats the heck out of hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings anytime.

5-stars for Mark R.‘s service. My 1,000th review… How the words mount up. We stayed at this airport hotel as it was to late to drive north to our next stop. I came downstairs for breakfast and had to request to sit by the window section which was«closed» as I wanted to see some sunlight and sky. Inside seating is for vampires only!.. It felt like a Vegas casino. Service was slow considering there were only 3 guests, may be the room service orders were taking priority. There’s not much dining choice within walking distance to the Holiday Inn so make the most of Houlihans unless you want to drive. I ordered oatmeal $ 5, toast $ 2.25 and coffee $ 2.50. Mark R. was my server and provided excellent, sincere service. And when I left my credit card behind he walked out of the restaurant to find me. Excellent and honest. Thanks.
