This is disgusting. One of the worst meals I’ve ever paid for. I bought the«Spicy Chicken Bowl» for $ 10.95 and got a bowl of rice with flavorless boiled chicken, some frozen corn, peas, beans and carrots, and a splash of soy sauce. I would rather eat a 15 cent cup of instant ramen noodles.

Meh… had the beef soba noodle and it was way too sweet. The beef marinade was really sweet and that caused the broth to be too sweet. Also the soba noodles were a mush and had no texture. I understand this is airport food but it’s very disappointing even when taking that into consideration.

Brand new location in the remodeled section of terminal 3. The salmon bowl was perfect as a light meal with protein and a little veggies before a flight, not too heavy.

The sushi tastes old… I wouldn’t order it if it was free. Stick with a rice bowl. Those are still nothing to write home about either. Maybe just go somewhere else altogether.

This isn’t airport sushi, it’s just really, really good sushi. What a treat to find this gem on my SFO layover.

Even from the standards of fast food japanese, this place wasn’t great. The sushi wasn’t very flavorful(the staff didn’t know the sourcing which is usually a red flag), and the rice had that oversteamed texture. The ramen was especially disappointing – was a very generic but overwhelming pork + dashi + msg broth with generic dried noodles. There’s better in terminal 3 for the price.

All I wanted was a California roll!!! I tried to buy a California roll this morning(restaurant open and actively making California rolls). The only ready made rolls were avocado and something with eel that I was not in the mood for, so I asked if I could have one of the 50 already prepared California rolls from behind the counter. Both the woman and the man working were extremely rude(«no, only take what is on display» — the woman even rolled her eyes. The man making his 51st California roll said they would not be ready for at least 10 – 15 minutes. They are right there in front of me though — how difficult would it have been to put one of them in a plastic box and sell it to me? I understand protocol, but in an airport where no one has 10 – 15 minutes, and rudeness seems acceptable to them, these guys have lost me as a customer.

It’s edible airport food. SFO seems to be a decent location for on-airport Japanese food, and Sankuku is no exception– they’re quite adequate, priced accordingly, and service is pleasant enough. Don’t expect much more than that, tho.

Sushi is freshly prepared if a bit bland. I visit this place often when flying in or out of San Francisco International airport & they sell soda & water. The drinks are never cold so I always ask for and receive a glass of ice to drink my drink over. However today the young lady at the cashiers register decided to lie to me & say they do not have ice ? What sushi place does not have ice? Do they not ice their seafood down for sushi? I was there 3 days ago & they had it. Such a petty thing to lose a frequent customer over. There is another sushi place in the terminal not far from this place,

Sushi seems not that fresh… Especially for the dragon roll with avocado and eels. I was hungry after getting off the plane and there was limited sushi places at the airport. Maybe the bowls would be better.

First, I lived in Kyoto Japan for about 8 month. I am very pleased to say that the Ramen this restaurant made is very close to what I had in Japan. This Ramen is made with soy sauce as broth base. The meat in this Ramen are delicious.

Teriyaki bowl was a good amount of food for the price and was flavorful. Not too bad for quick airport food.

I had a surprising good noodle bowl here with many port wontons, fresh veggies served in a tasty broth. Airport food is always a risk so I was very pleasantly surprised to get a very tasty soup bowl. I will definitely eat their again if I am craving a noodle bowl.

It’s fine. I needed something to eat late at night on a layover to NYC and this was open. Food was fine. Nothing great but I wasn’t expecting anything great. Was a little pricey for what I received but that’s the cost of eating in an airport.

Disappointing. In a word, Sankaku was disappointing. It looked like sushi. It cost like sushi. It just didn’t taste much like sushi. Mostly my meal was flavorless. The spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy. The eel on the dragon roll was cold, hard, rubbery and pretty tasteless. The best thing here was the seaweed salad. The second best was the imitation crab in the California Roll. Given the high proportion of Asian passengers traveling through SFO, I expected significantly more. Get a hamburger instead and eat sushi when you’re back home. This was no better than I can get pre-made at the grocery store…

For the airport, you can do better by walking to the food court in the middle of the terminal by gate 80. Don’t order Chicken Teriyaki bowl. Stick with the sushi if you are not going to take the walk. The chicken was cut into big slices with a sweet sauce thrown on top. The mixed vegetables were cold and clearly came from a defrosted mixed vegetable bag. It is fast food.

Beef bowl with miso soup and a diet coke. It was a combo for $ 10 something. Not bad at all. I liked the beef and the rice was cooked just right. My wife ate the miso soup but told me it was good. If I ever come back and want Japanese, then I will eat at this place again. Not bad, not bad at all for being fast food. Thanks for reading my review. This is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

LOL when someone buys sushi in an airport and then becomes shocked to find, oh not so fresh! Our experience was perfectly fine. Ordered the Sushi Platter(see photo if you wish) and it was nice. $ 10, pretty much like what you will find in any grocery store sushi section. So nice to find Japanese in SFO. Nice service and a broad selection of drinks including top shelf Saki, the good ones.
