This was without a doubt the worst ruby Tuesday’s I’ve ever been to. Everything took forever, mind you the place wasn’t even busy. They forgot my boyfriend’s drink, our meals were sent to the wrong table, my side of broccoli was ice cold, and the food was way too expensive for the portion that we received. We had to keep reminding staff what we had ordered. The worst was when a bunch of employees gathered behind the bar and were yucking it up on their cell phones. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and I know that sometimes it’s slow when you don’t have tables, but it’s unprofessional and rude when customers can see you just hanging out on your phone when you’re supposed to be working. Truly terrible. The only positive thing about this place was that the waitress was very grateful that we were patient.

Just the same chain restaurant fare. Ruby’s has slipped in quality over the few years which is sad. Prices are good but add another dollar or two and up the quality.

Waiter came out 10 minutes after we ordered and told us cook forgot to make our appetizer. Told him it was fine. Food came to table, undercooked. Food that was edible was ok at best. Desert was gross. When waiter brought me check I said thank you, he said um hmm which apparently is the new thing these days, used to be you’re welcome but whatever. Now I know why this place was empty on a Friday night. Never again

This place was really bad, I would not recommend this at all. I ordered the ribs and my gf ordered the pasta, and both came out horrible. The ribs was dry and really salty, and so was the pasta. When we order the carrot cake, it was also dry and super sweet. The service was decent, the waiter is pretty good, but disappear most of the time. I loved Ruby Tuesday in the city, but this Ruby Tuesday is so bad I have to think twice before entering another one. –I ordered the half stack of ribs with fries, and carrot cake.(Both taste horrible)

Ruby Tuesday Edison NJ 4701 Stelton Rd. South Plainfield, NJ When we walked into the restaurant we were not greeted. Instead the host, who was eating raised two fingers. I assumed this meant if we needed a table for two. We said yes. He seated us and said, «enjoy». We waited for almost 10 mins to be approached by a server, who’s name I still don’t know because she didn’t introduce herself. She did apologize for the wait time. There were bits of food on the floor. The place needed some cleaning. The food was of good portion for me. I ordered a Petite steak and it was tender. Two stars because the waitress apologized for the wait time and the steak was good. I will not be visiting again.

I’m giving up on Ruby Tuesday. This is third one I’ve been to and it’s probably the worst. Loud loud music! The help loved it but the diners did not want hip hop and rap Food…mediocre at best.

Food was good. Salad bar was fresh and well stocked. Server(Amanda ?) was pleasant and on top of everything. Oh, and this was late on a Sunday evening/nite well after the weekend rush is over and most other places exhale. Will definitely return and recommend.

OKAY… here’s the deals its been 8 hours since I had lunch at this place and I still feel stuffed and bloated all we(2) had was 1 sampler(3 tenders, 3 mozzarella sticks, 2 spring rolls and few fried) and a cheese burger. And not like I am a light eater I CANEAT and I ALWAYSDO. All I can think is TONSANDTONSOFMSG. I will stay clear of this place FOREVER, I suggest you do the same.

Place is attached to a holiday inn… not that there’s anything wrong with that… lots of big rig truckers here. Not that that is an issue Server was… ignorant? I asked for jack and diet tall. I explained to him what that was… I shot Jack in a tall glass w ice, top with diet. Jack/diet dbl tall is two shots etc. He brought jack/diet highball… he said the bartender did not know what«tall» was… sooooo off I sent him for a Collins glass half filled w diet coke… I blew his.mind. Collins glass is a tall glass, you see… Returned and I mixed it up all is well. Next I ordered a BBQ chicken flat bread, no red onion. He returned with a BBQ chicken breast with a gallon of bbq sauce on it… after showing him, again, the menu and the item, you could almost see the meth in his eyes clear up… oooohhhhhhh so sorry. Idiot. Overall it is what it is. Two stars.

My husband and I both ate burgers and the burger patty itself was tasteless. We ordered it medium and it came out well done. It took 45 minutes to get our order at 2 in the afternoon when the place was empty — what was the hold up? Who knows. With places like 25 burgers, five guys and red robin close by there is no reason to come here. I gave them a two on the off chance anything else here is appetizing however I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Delightful place. I like everything about this place except the music they play. Not versatile for the all kinds of people that come there. But the food is always good and prepared as I like. I do not have a favorite Herr. Sometimes I’m in a appetizer mood, sometimes a salad mood or a meal mood. Either way. It is enjoyable. The desserts can take an upgrade. The tea is very good. Not to sweet but definitely tasty. However. I will certainly be back

I’ve always enjoyed my experiences at Ruby Tuesdays. I’ve gone here long enough to see them refurbish the look of the restaurant and reinvent the menu. I get a classier feel going here than I would at an Applebee’s or Fridays. The menu extends towards the health conscious crowd which I think is great but yet you can still order that juicy bacon cheeseburger if you wanted. I think their salad bar makes them stand out from other restaurants. I love that it is unlimited and everything looks fresh. I’ve never had a poor experience from their salad bar. You can eat as much as you’d like without feeling guilty. I’ve been to several locations, mostly Bridgewater and Hackettstown but this one in South Plainfield is just as nice. We did take out and while we waited had a drink at the bar. I suggest their fruitful sangria, it was yummy. The take out was great, I ordered their pretzel burger and it came with crispy fries. Couldn’t comment on wait staff since we were just ordering out but the bartender was nice. Nice ambience for a Friday night date.

Ruby Tuesday is hands down one of my favorite chain restaurants. The one in South Plainfield is one of the better one’s I’ve been to. The atmosphere is good, there’s never too long of a wait, and the service is always great. My favorite meal to order is the original ribs. They are so tender and delicious. They’re fall off the bone good. I also love to wash it down with their delicious fruit teas. Free refills make them even better! As for price, I think it may be a little more expensive than some other chains, but you definitely get your moneys worth. Overall, if you’ve never been, you should certainly go!

I like the new menu of Ruby Tuesday’s. I haven’t been in a while so it was a nice change for me. This one is attached to the hotel so it’s not hard to find. Salad bar, still great. I thought they had a macaroni salad that didn’t have meat in it but I did not see one, boo. I wish the ladles had all the names of the dressings on it but my favorite will always be Italian! Who doesn’t like unlimited salad bar? I didn’t see anything wrong with it. We ordered the zucchini burgers and the chicken&mushroom pasta, sub shrimp. The zucchini burgers already have cheese mixed in them so that stinks but it is what it is. The fries were okay, nothing outstanding. The pasta was pretty good, spicier than I had expected but I was warned so it’s all good. Waiter was nice and the hostess was as well. Everything inside looked clean from where I was sitting. I only gave 3 stars because I do think it’s A-OK, but am I really a fan that I will come back all the time? No. I think it is a decent chain restaurant with a new menu and wanted to try. I’d come back for some salad bar if I really wanted it. And a blondie dessert. That is a must.

Shrimp fondue was excellent but blue cheese tower salad was a disaster. Wilted lettuce, cold greasy bacon bits… very poor presentation… chef must have been napping and left the work to the janitor.

If you havent been to a Ruby Tuesday’s in a while, they’ve completely redone themselves as a chain. I find that they have the BEST selection of healthy sides, including grilled zucchini, mashed cauliflower and tons of veggie selections. Im also a fan of their endless salad bar, and I generally hate salad bars. If you are gonna go to a chain restaurant and are watching your figure, counting carbs or just plain like veggies, I’d hit up Ruby Tuesdays. Now this particular RT’s in S Plainfield, is pretty good. Each time we have gone, our servers have been very polite, helpful, honest and professional. The food has always come out promptly and yummy. Not much more you can ask for, IMO. I would recommend bringing a sweater, since it gets a bit chilly in there.

I’m not sure about the review that mentions the hot waitstaff.(My servers have all been the wrong gender for me and probably young enough to get me thrown in jail.) I like Ruby Tuesday a lot, though. My first experience with Ruby Tuesday was roughly 15 years ago in Rhode Island, and I’m pretty sure I got sick. So, when my fiancéé suggested that we go there a couple of weeks ago, I was a bit hesitant. Luckily, I’m a little whipped. So I went. Ruby Tuesday’s food is solid. …not phenomenal, but solid. There are two things that bump them up from the three stars that my meals would probably warrant on flavor alone. The first is healthy options: a salad bar with iceburg lettuce, mixed greans, baby spinach, hearts of romaine, and one other kind of leafy green; not to mention a menu that features items like spaghetti squash, mashed cauliflower(sp?), and grilled zucchini(sp?). If you can’t tell from the fact that I can’t spell any of these things, I don’t eat healthy food, but it’s nice to know that it’s on the menu for your dining companions. The second thing is the service. When you hire young kids, it can go one of two ways: completely apathetic(sp?) like most retail stores, or hard core like the kids who work at Starbucks who seem like they view making your grande whole milk misto as the culmination of their lives’ work. The waitstaff at Ruby Tuesday is decidedly towards the latter. I guess the cash that they make in tips is more than they’d make working retail. So they are incredibly conscientious(sp?) when it comes to getting your order right, and they seem to be genuinely concerned with whether you enjoy your meal. *I know that my spelling was most certainly off, and that there was no rhyme or reason to my paragraph breaks. I did write this review on my iPhone while drinking the last glass of a bottle of wine that I opened and finished alone in one sitting. That’s no excuse, however. If you accept mediocrity, you’ll get mediocrity. So please don’t give me pitty Funny, Useful, Cool nods.
