First time and would consider another visit. Bartender was nice and poured a lovely pint of Guinness. I’m not a fan of crispy, possibly fried bacon on a BLT. They also serve Pepsi products.

Service was good. We had our fantasy draft there with 10 people. Food is average American cuisine. It’s. A bar for gods sake! Owners are friends and it is a good place to hang.

I wanted to love it. I’ve been there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I was tickled by the catch phrase in the menu«friends don’t let friends eat at chain restaurant». And everyone was friendly. Many people seemed to know each other but not in a way that made me uncomfortable. I got a touch nervous when the one guest said oh we love it here because it’s never crowded. The grilled clams smelled great. Halfway through. A mouthful of black grit. I looked at the plate. Grit all over the plate. I looked for the waiter. No where. There were 3 people in the dining room. Where did he go? I carefully picked through the last few. All filled with sand. Ugh. I showed it to the server and suggested he talk to the chef. He apologized. Shrimp bisque was very good. Bourbon swordfish had good flavor but was quite over cooked. And it had a cut in it which was obviously checking doneness. I started thinking there must be a new chef learning the ropes. Let’s give some slack. Bill came. I would have been ok with some minor effort to make up for the clams as I’m still grinding sand in my teeth. Nothing. and when asked I was told«well you ate most of them!» Really? That left a bad taste Buzzys. I will try again and update my review. If appropriate.

It was really exciting to have a bar walking distance from the house. And then we discovered that the drinks were terrible and beer over priced. The food is greasy and the place is dirty. I’ve seen a lot of cars there, but not many people inside. Reminds me of a bar you would see on bar rescue…

Stopped in for some drinks and a bite to eat. The wings were delicious. Fantastic service from our server Drew.

I love Buzzy’s! Been coming here for years & years for lunch during the work week. Great service and food. Causal, down-to-earth, fun and divey in the best sense of the word. As they say, «Friends don’t let friends go to chain restaurants.» Highly recommend the Crab Meltaways and the Buffalo Chicken Cutlet Sandwich.

Not much to say about this place. Food wasn’t great and the restaurant seemed very dirty and old. Service was fine. I’m sure all the locals like it.

What to say. Dive bar in the front. Restaurant type area in the back. Very old feel. Was a little turned off having to walk through the people smoking right outside the front door. You have to walk through the bar to the dinning area. The dinning area i would say is very dated. Servers were friendly and attentive, I could tell our server was doing his best. Ordered the Crab Meltaways. I would return to this place just for those. I ordered a burger and and Ali ordered a french dip. The food was not bad at all. They also give large portions. I wont be dying to go back but I may get an order of meltaways to go.

Good food, terrible service. Took forever for our waitress to come by, our beer was FLAT and she didn’t make sure our food was correct. We had to ask for her and ask for our missing food. We asked for split checks befire we ordered and she forgot to split them. I would only go again for take out.

The food was pretty good, but the bar made the whole place smell funny(I think it was the carpet). This hindered our appetites. The entrance is in the bar area, so you have to walk through there to get to the dining section. It was super loud when we went which was around 8, and we were the last customers that were there for dinner. The bar noise carried over significantly along with the stench. We made our visit pretty quick because we didn’t feel we can relax and enjoy ourselves. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a family-friendly place, but I have not been there during the day.

Been there many times throughout the years as its close to my house and finally had to write this review. The last 5x we have gone there has been horrible from food, service and prices are rediculous. The place should close the restaurant as its only good for expensive beer. The only Buzz around town is the place sucks. We just spent $ 87 with tip for 2 people that included canned potatoes.

Stopped in on a midweek bar crawl of the area. It was still happy hour when we sat at the very large rectangular bar. Some of the regulars were hanging out and seemed cheerful enough albeit a little rough around the edges. In the center of the bar is a small grill, we didn’t see any cooking going on this visit but assume this is where some delicious burgers come from. We did get a half order of the Crab Melt $ 6.50. Think french bread with crab and cheese melted on top. It was good, about 5 slices for a half order and enough for a snack for two people. This is a neighborhood bar with the neighborhood feel. Glad we came but not enough of a draw to get us back regularly.

Dive look & feel, but the food separates this local watering hole from the pack. I like it. A big square bar seating about 40ish greets you upon entrance. Those bold dollar store type paintings or perhaps paint by numbers of nothing special oddly plastered over every nook & cranny of the interior walls, definitely a cheapening ambience. I couldn’t help, but be reminded of a old school Speakeasy that was cleaned up and made to look slightly more modern by an 80 year interior decorator. Multiple flat screens to catch the game. $ 4 for a domestic draft is robbery in these parts for a place just a step above dive status. But every 4th drink is a buy back, so there. Kristin is not only personable, but a top notch bar wench. Lunch special average $ 10 because they charge extra for sides. The homemade Cole slaw would make the Deutsch proud. The soft shell crab sandwich at $ 12 is ample an moist inside yet perfectly crispy outside just like fellow trusted Unilocaler CK’s head. The thin fries are fried to perfection. Loved the selection of classic rock always jamming. Definitely a local towny older dude type of feel by day, but warm & inviting. I think I saw Norm & Cliffy sitting in the corner, lol. Clean with a dining area separated from the bar crowd so it’s ok to bring the kiddies. As Arnold has been known to say, «I’ll be back.»

Buzzy’s is has a local dive bar vibe. You don’t go here for the scenery, you go for the food. Everything I’ve had on the menu is great, but I there is one thing I go specifically for. I’ve had more burgers than the Hamburglar, and the Mike’s Favorite Burger is the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know who Mike is, but cheers my friend, cheers.

The service is good. Ambience is OK. The food ranges from awful to OK. If you’re there for dinner try to get the lunch specials menu, they’re maybe the best options. Really if you want anything other than a beer go elsewhere.

Went this past weekend for a late lunch with the family. GREAT burgers! It’s so hard to find burgers made on a real grill, good char, large size(I only ate half and I always finish everything) and they offer a few different chips/fries options as a side. Moderately priced(maybe $ 12-$ 15 depending on toppings?.) You can even get burgers grilled right behind the bar! Casual, family-friendly atmosphere, bar area is separate from true dining room area. Just wish they had a better craft beer selection(mostly bud-miller-coors and the usual imports.)

Buzzy’s is a local dive — it is not much to look at, BUT the food is great pub grub, beer selection is impressive(the fact that they serve Boddington’s got us there to begin with!), service is friendly, and it is incredibly affordable! Great for a mid week night out. We(husband and myself) tried the food recently, and were impressed — it exceeded our expectations. We had the crab melt away bread(½ order was MORE than enough for one person), and the cheesy potato skins for starters. I had the french onion soup for my main, and he had a customized burger with shoestring fries. For dessert, we shared the Bailey’s cheesecake — which, if it is on offer, be SURE to order!!! This was incredible, an absolute mouthgasm! Dense cheesecake, rich chocolate crust, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. This feast, plus three drinks each, totaled under $ 70.00. We ate at the bar, because the dining room just honestly is not much to look at. I agree that there should be a separate entrance to the dining room rather than just thru the bar — it would make life easier for the blue haired old ladies with walkers… yes, the dining room crowd seems a bit older. I had no problems with sitting at the bar to eat — the other patrons all seem to enjoy a good time, without imposing on anyone else. No one seems threatening or scary. Give Buzzy’s a try — is one of the only alternatives to fast food in the area, it won’t break the bank, and is a good time.

I’ve been to this place many times. I was just there last Friday. It was pleasant. We had 2 different appetizers. Crab melt away bread and pretzel sticks with cheese. Crab melt aways were delicious. My family always enjoys them when we go there. The pretzels were soft a little under cooked in my opinion but yummy! Just regular cheese«sauce». The burgers here are really great. There a huge and really juicy. Cooked perfectly! I regret not getting it last Friday. I got Danielle favorite chicken and it was good large serving I brought most of it home. Overall a good place that I’m sure I’ll be back many more times!

August 2013EDIT: I don’t often revisit places and I can’t recall ever updating a review but I had to. First I got a very pleasant email from someone at Buzzy’s apologizing for the bad experience and inviting us to come again with a coupon. So we bit. I’m glad we did. The service as before was nice and professional. The food this time was 180 degrees different from the meal below. I had the stuffed sole and it was delicious. A million times better than a similar entrée that I just had in Cape May that cost 30 percent more. My partner had a delicious seafood platter that was even better reheated as a lunch. The portions were generous and I’m glad to say that the below review was based on what must have been an off night. We enjoyed everything we had including the consistently tasty fried zucchini sticks as an appetizer. Great customer service and a great way to handle a dissatisfied customer. We shall return! ++++++++++++ Original review: What a shame. I’ve eaten here a few times over the years and was looking forward to a halfway decent meal. I didn’t have my hopes up for a gourmet experience but a decent meal. So we arrive for our date night. The service was good, the drinks were delicious but the food was AWFUL. The burger we ordered medium rare was well done and dry. Even worse, the Chicken Marsala, which was a special of the day for 16.95 came out on a plate looking like a TV dinner. Too much gloopy salty and sweet brown sauce that tasted like cheap marsala wine doused into a Hungry Man supper. The chicken was tasteless and had a strange texture like it had been boiled and microwaved. I was hungry so I tried to eat it but that was a mistake as it made me nauseous before I could eat half of it. We should have sent both plates back but that was our mistake. So many other options. This one will will not be visited again in a long time if ever. What a disappointment and waste of money. I’m reminded that the fried zucchini sticks we had as an appetizer were delicious. That’s true. Just not worth the $ 50.00 we spent on dinner.
