Very nice atmosphere, very nice staff and delicious food. I ordered a meatball parmigiana, fulfilling and fresh.

Tried this place out cause it was across the street from the hotel I was staying at. Read the reviews and so I tried the cheesesteak. Lived up to the hype. The large was more than enough for me. My only complaint is there weren’t very many options for sides to go along with my sandwich. But it was still delicious none the less!

The four stars are strictly for the cheese steak. I’ve had the pizza once or twice while waiting for my cheeses steak and it was okay but nothing to write home about. However I’ve beento this place about to dozen times oved the past twenty years and i must say its the best cheese steak I’ve ever had in NJ, NY or Philly. The place only gets 4 stars because it is kind of a dump that hasn’t updated the décor in the twenty years or so that I’ve been going there. Also the guy that I believe is the proprietor has no personality.

Best cheesesteaks in central NJ. Can’t go wrong with a provolone, hot peppers and onions. The steak is reminiscent of a west philly style cheesesteak. Pizza is average.

Pizza is terrible. Italian food shouldn’t taste like frozen dinner. There sauce tastes like paste. It was so terrible I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to experience such pizza horror !!!

I Asked for the pizza to be a little crispy… they BURNT it, NO red sauce, just bread and cheese!!! the manager has HORRIBLE customer service skills. he hung up on me and called me a racial slur

The rumors are true! The cheesesteaks are top notch and are absolutely worth getting if you’re in the area. The pizza, although good, isn’t anything to write home about. For me the sauce is just a little too sweet. On the other hand they have Cluck U wings which obviously earns them points. Plus they are super nice and their prices are pretty cheap for the area. One minor complaint is their location. It’s great if you are coming off of 287 and find yourself heading toward Edison on Stelton, but if you are on the other side of the road, or need to head toward Piscataway, you will find that it’s virtually impossible to accomplish this as you can only make a right out of the lot and there is no back entrance. Still not a big deal for one of the best cheesesteaks in the area!

If I was just reviewing the cheese steaks, it would be 5 stars. Honestly, this may have been the best cheese steak I’ve ever had in my entire life. The garlic knots were also top notch. The wife had the chicken cheese steak, and loved it. I was not so impressed with the wings. I went thermonuclear, and they were hot, but not that so-hot-I-need-milk-and-bread hot I was looking for. Also, they forgot the blue cheese and didn’t include carrots/celery in the take away. The honey mustard wings were just fried chicken wings with commercial honey mustard dunking containers.

Cheese steak? MORELIKEHEAVENSTEAK. No but seriously. The cheese steak is choice. They’ve got great bread, and the fried onions were just right. Slices are excellent too. And they have Cluck-U chicken. I’m not sure how that works, but I’m not complaining either. Online ordering is always clutch.

Being able to order online these days is a MUSTHAVE. Gianni’s website does not disappoint. Building and submitting an order right on their website is awesome! It’s so much more convenient when ordering with a group of friends. I can just pass the device around and let everyone choose what they want. I pay then and there with my card and it’s delivered quickly to my place(their food is fantastic btw). Get a cheesesteak, you won’t regret it!

When I was told that this place had the best cheesesteaks in the area, I had to try it out. I went for the chicken cheesesteak and was far from disappointed! The bread was fresh, the chicken juicy, the cheese melted perfectly across the sandwich. I ordered it for delivery and it was fast. The sandwich was not soggy as it tends to be from many places. The online ordering on their website was also easy to use.

Just realized I’d never written a review for this place. I grew up in the area and ate here very often. I pretty much always order the Gnocchi alla sorrentina w/extra cheese. The sauce is always creamy and flavorful and the gobs of cheese add the right amount of saltiness and heart clogging factor. The portion size is huge and usually enough to last me two days(if I’m not super greedy) and you get pretty much half an Italian loaf to go with it. I’ve also gotten the cheesesteaks which are always delicious and a great portion size. The pizza has gobs and gobs of cheese which I love and the toppings are plentiful. The people working there are always very nice and the prices are great for the amount of food that you get. I really miss coming here all the time and may have to make a pit stop one of these days.

2012-09-05 — first time there. Got a small cheese steak with onions and a slice of pizza. Excellent cheese steak, good roll, good flavor. Nice slice of pizza. My friend(formerly from this area) has a steak and slice every time he is in town from AZ. Owner very friendly. Only complaint was the TV volume was super high.

Wife and I had dinner with baked lasagna for me and eggplant parmigiana over spaghetti for her. I got a salad which was fresh, the humor was the cashier(a young Rutgers female student) asked what dressing I wanted, when I stated blue cheese, she said they don’t have that and continued looking at me anticipating my next choice with no hints from her as to what was in stock, the owner/boss chimed in with a verbal list of the choices and I settled for Italian. We then proceeded to order the entrees which took several attempts since we apparently not responding in the proper order that she was expecting. After devouring our warm bread, my baked lasagna arrived luke warm… hmmm, the baking must have been rushed or they reduced the cooking time to save the earth from global warming. My wife’s eggplant, when she removed the cheese and sauce was brown and tasteless. She ended up consuming the spaghetti, sauce and cheese giving the tired eggplant timeout of the far end of the plate. We did enjoy watching the TV mounted high on the wall which reduced our anxiety over the food. While leaving the restaurant, my wife noticed two children playing chase and running in and out of the bathroom, into the kitchen, coming out of sodas in their unwashed hands. Don’t think we will visit again.

The eggplant is better than my grandmother used to make. I go there as often as I can and this is my favorite dish. The pizza is excellent — try something non-american: like basil and mozzarella. One of the best Pizza and Italian food places around — don’t let the name fool you. Gianni’s knows their food — and you will be back.

My fiancée and I didn’t have very high hopes for Gianni’s Pizzarama.(To be honest, we primarily tried it because the name was so funny.) We were pleasantly surprised with Gianni’s, though. We ordered a large pizza(half just cheese and sauce, half with sausage as well). The crust could use some work. It was a little dry and bland, but the cheese was absolutely awesome. The sauce seemed good, but there was not enough of it. If we order pizza here again, I’d probably order it with extra sauce, and no sausage. The sausage wasn’t great. It was small, thin slices of sausage, which kind of dried out in the cooking process. The real surprise was the order of veal francais, though. We didn’t expect veal francais from a pizza place to be any good. It actually was pretty good, though. The veal wasn’t the greatest cut of veal, but it was certainly more than adequate, especially at the price; and the francais sauce was pretty impressive. I don’t know if we’ll be ordering pizza from here again, but I certainly think that we’ll be trying some of the entrees. Their dining room was also nicer than I would have expected. It seemed clean and spacious. I also found it amusing that they had a big map showing how to find their location, inside of their restaurant. It seems kind of like closing the barn door after the horse has already left. No?
