I have to sadly inform all Unilocalers that they may have closed. I have had nice foods from them before and wish them well. Very nice husband and wife team trying to do well making homemade foods. Good luck to them in whatever is next. Their food was tasty and fresh.

Good Filipino food made to order. Expect to wait. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. The sinigang and turon were my favorite. I recommend this place for fresh, made to order food. It beats the buffet line where the food’s been sitting out for God knows how long!

Having lived in Jersey City, Filipino fast food was plentiful and cheap to me as a child, which meant my busy Filipino family ate it nearly every day of the week. While I don’t eat it as frequently these days, I still have certain expectations. Diosdado is unlike the Filipino restaurants of my childhood. The food is made to order, not the typical cafeteria-style you’ll find in most other similar establishments. There’s no semi-attached Asian market, or even a small selection of Filipino sweets. I was a little disappointed about that. You go to Diosdado to pick up an order you placed over the phone, or to eat something you will have waited 20 minutes for. My boyfriend and I had the beef empanadas as they had run out of lumpia shanghai. The beef empanadas didn’t have a lot of flavor — it needed a tanginess, perhaps some vinegar sauce? For our entrees, we had the pork and chicken bbq skewers with lo mein and garlic fried rice, respectively. The seasonings/marinate was not what we were both used to tasting in Filipino cuisine. That is, we were initially underwhelmed. He somehow managed to convince himself that, while the taste was not what he preferred, the«quality» of the pork was better than what he’s had in other establishments. I really couldn’t say the same for my chicken. The garlic fried rice was ok albeit a little too greasy. Service was good but, overall, it was not an exceptional meal. I don’t think I’d go back.

The food was good, But definitely order ahead and take it out. I had a similar experience to other diners. The food was tasty. Even though I didn’t know what to order and winged it. Luckily I had time to kill which is why I tried this place out. It took way too long to get my order especially since there was only one other table sat and they were finishing up their dinners. As I was sitting there the restaurant got really smoky from the cooking food, it smelled good but I was worried about my clothes smelling for the meeting I was about to attend. I would go back … But only for take out with a call ahead order way in advance.

I wish I could rate this restaurant based on the food. However when I walked in this evening to place an order for take out. I was told that they are very busy and it is an hour wait for food. There were two people sitting at a table and eating, another person sitting playing on his phone and that was it. Such a disappointment because the aroma of the good cooking was amazing. I am all for quality food taking time to prepare. But an hour to order a beef skewer and fried rice is just insane. Really such a shame.

This place cannot handle more than 2 customers — no service. Willie Degel needs to steak out this restaurant cuz people should not be waiting an hour for rice and fried eggs — really!?!

Awesome! We tried the BBQ pork and chicken, delicious. Brian drank the strawberry bubble tea, it was lightly sweetened and perfect with the BBQ. We also tried the empanadas– 4 delicious beef empanadas for 5 $? Sold!

DELICIOUSANDINCREDIBLE! The portions are really generous for the cost. I sipped a delicious almond bubble tea while enjoying an array of salivating dishes. I began with the pork and vegetable spring rolls that were flavorful, crispy, and not at all greasy. I then enjoyed both the chicken and pork skewers and shrimp fried rice. YUM!!! SODELECTABLE! The seasoning was perfect and they were so juicy and delicious. Everything is made fresh per order. What could possibly beat that??? It’s totally worth my 45 minute drive.

Very good food for a decent price. I had a little of everything on their menu with my family, and it was all very good, the BBQ chicken especially. We arrived right before closing time and they were very friendly, even giving us some samples of the food while we waited. Would strongly recommend.

My parents just brought home some of their turon. Surprisingly fresh and still crunchy hours after purchase. Looking forward to seeing the whole place and trying their whole menu! Prices are not shabby either. Tapsilog, Longsilog, Spamsilogs are all $ 5.99. Desserts are $ 1.99 Apps are $ 4.99 and they have daily specials. FYI — They deliver if your order is over $ 40.
