The Leather Shop

Small store in a small town delivering big results! I brought in two pairs of shows, one of them beat up, and they are like new again. Normally I bring my shoes to random places in Manhattan — near my job — and they do an okay job, sometimes. But at the Leather Shop they did a super professional job. Love it.

I had two pairs of shoes that had to be repaired. I wanted to get leather soles and not rubber. I took both pair into the shop right here in town.
They did a fantastc job with the repair and the newly repaired shoes are back in the weekly line up and very comfortable.
They really know what they are doing here. Bring all the shoe repairs here.

I’ve come to this place often. The guy who left and opened a watch and jewelry repair shop around the corner is amazing.
The people (there seems to be too many) who run this shop are extremely disorganized. this complaint is about the experience I had when dropping off some sneakers to repair the elastic. I paid in full after being given the price. The next day I pop in to pickup and am told by the owner that the person who told me the price yesterday and accepted payment in full, for which I have a receipt is an intern and the price is actually four times the original. Have you ever heard of a business not honoring a paid in full receipt?
The above is the last of many disappointing experiences. Very unfortunate being that they are the only thing going in town.

I needed to get some leather adhesive to repair a strap on my shoes, & while the attendees in the storefront did persistently try to get me to just pay them over $ 45 to repair my shoes themselves, they were still very helpful when it came to advising me on which glue to purchase. Not a bad experience customer service wise, but I can’t speak to the quality or outcome of any repairs conducted in shop. The glue I purchased, however, did everything the clerks told me it would, so I was very pleased.

I took my dress shoes here to have the soles replaced. The man was very unfriendly and gave me a price that was double than what the guy in orange gave me: 65 here and 35 in Orange. Needless to say, my shoes were repaired in Orange.

I needed to have the soles of my shoes re-​glued when i cam across this place. Great service from a friendly, local and knowledgeable business. My shoes have never been better. It did take longer than I was advised for my shoes to be ready. But it was worth the wait. Highly recommended!
