Good & simple. Food smelled good but we came for ice cream. Shakes & ice creams are huge! Totally worth it.

The hotdog was good. However a bit overpriced. Good food, but the price you pay I am not sure it was worth it.

Worth a splurge – and it is pricey. BUT, possibly the best burger I’ve had, and certainly an awesome shake. Tahoe Burger was perfection – onions, mushrooms, cheese, some kind of sauce. It’s rare that I like a burger this much. Coffee malted shake was also perfect. Save up, then go and be very satisfied. You may not need fries as everything they serve is so filling. Does it need to be that expensive? I don’t know, but the quality was top-notch.

Poor customer service. Especially close to closing time. I don’t know what’s in their Reese’s Pieces Shake with Vanilla Soft-Serve base, but it was GROSS!

The onion rings here are to die for! Highly recommend and so yummy you won’t even need to dip them into anything. The place looks great, it’s definitely had a fresh coat of paint recently. Several items were covered up on the menu and they also no longer serve chocolate dipped cones(so sad! It was a classic). I feel like they have undergone new management/ownership. Prices are way too high, but it’s SLT and that’s part of the deal here.

Ate here 2 years ago and it was very good. Took some friends here Friday night 6⁄3. It took 20 minutes to get all four orders. Burgers were overlooked, pretzel bites were burnt. Paid too much for this mess! Very disappointed We will not come back.

Not a fan. I am only giving 3 stars because their food is good IF it is cooked correctly. However, if you go near closing it will be undercooked and greasy. In sharing the story I learned this has also happened to other people. How rude of them to waste people’s hard earned money. I recently made the mistake of calling in an order shortly before they closed. The girl on the phone said they were closing soon. I asked if it was too late to order and should I try another day because I would understand if there wasn’t enough time left. She said no. The veggie burger was burned on the outside and undercooked inside. The fries had been drenched in grease and were basically inedible. Obviously this had been prepared in haste. Of course, I didn’t realize until I got home and it was too late to go back. $ 14 for inedible crap… yay. I had worked late that day, and was really tired and stressed out. I don’t eat out much but I thought I would that night just for the convenience… what a mistake. Aaand they were not very friendly.

Milk shake was good, garlic fries were good. Ranch dressing for 0.30 $. A salad in a little box for 9 $. Rip off prices

What I ate: Swirl soft serve with hot fudge in a cup Visit date: May 1, 2016 First time? Yes. I know what you’re thinking — soft serve when it’s 30some degrees outside? Yes. I wanted something cold and refreshing after a fun day of adventuring. Sno-flake had just what I needed! The small soft serve is actually quite large and you could share it with someone, but don’t actually. I believe in you. Sno-flake also serves burgers and fries and all the yummy fried things. Seating is indoors and out. Parking is lot. I’d stop in again for a quick sweet treat.

Well to start, this place has been around for decades. Many different owners. The newest round has decided that they won’t dip cones anymore. Hmm. Disappointment. My wife went to get lunch for us while I worked at our house. Ordered bacon burgers, curly fries and onion rings. Got a couple of containers of ketchup and one container of mayo for my fries, I’m German, so she gets charged .30 $ for a single container of mayo and 2 containers of ketchup for free… That is wrong. Going to Izzys next. It’s small but I deal with people on principle. The ketchup wasn’t free to them…

I really wanna give this place 5 stars because we love the food so much, sooooo much, good fried options, good vegetarian options. The only problem is that it is the slowwwwwest burger joint in the history of burger joints. If they are even remotely busy, plan to wait at least 30 minutes, sometimes longer. Otherwise, a great place to satisfy your junk food cravings.

They advertise the best milkshakes, so that’s of course what happened. Chocolate milkshakes all around. So far from my great dairy state of Wisconsin, I appreciated the creamy, custard-like quality of this shake. It was so, so thick and best enjoyed with a spoon. I was certainly reminded of frozen custard and this was good. We also tried some cones of ice cream, which was similarly rich and refreshing. The texture of the shake and of the ice cream on cones was so similar that you could even go for a cone if the shake sounds too heavy and you won’t be missing out.

I love the sign outside. Brings you back to simpler times. They have great milkshakes and dipped cones. The service can be slow and cleanliness isn’t there strong suit but it’s very old. I also enjoy the cool Lake Tahoe posters and prints inside. Pretty good stop along highway 50 if your looking for a cold treat!

Burger was very average. Chocolate shake was made with syrup and not chocolate icecream. Thats a shame. Garlic fries only come in large size? They were good if you love garlic. But the burger was just average. You can make it at home. Its not like those special little cheesburgers you usually get at drive ins. Too bad. The staff was super friendly and said thanks. Prolly would not return though. :(

I’ve been wanting to try the soft serve here, because I love soft serve vanilla chocolate swirl. I ordered a small because we just had eaten lunch somewhere else. When it came, wow pretty surprised! The size was huge for small size! I think the small size refers to the cone because the cone was small but the ice cream was piled high. The taste had a nice texture, creamy and very thick, not melted too fast like cheap soft serve. Service was nice and the place is not too big. Mostly with family and their kids.

Such a cute little spot to grab a cone or lunch! My girlfriend and I spotted a gentleman carrying two chocolate covered cones while we were finishing up our breakfast at Sprouts, and just had to have one. Despite the quick melting factor, they were the perfect ending to a fabulous weekend of delicious morsels. On our next trip, we will be back to try other menu options at this quaint Tahoe gem.

Awesome service, the kids that work here really know how to do what needs to get done! The food is awesome! Shakes are brilliant! For me to say all these good things is rare. I’m kind of a bitch? Lol can’t help it! A girl knows what a girl wants… But a WOMAN gets what she wants!!!

Stopped at the Snow-Flake Drive-in because of the crowds we saw driving by and the constant bombardment of radio ads claiming they were voted«The best milk shakes in Lake Tahoe» three years in a row. I was expecting a massive list of milk shakes but they only had a dozen flavors at $ 5.25 each. We ordered a chocolate, chocolate chocolate chip, butter finger and a Oreo milk shakes. Our milk shakes were delivered with-in five minutes on a busy day, they were fairly large and full to the brim. We opted not to stay at the drive-in which had several tables inside and outside. The place was clean and the staff was friendly even though the place looks tired from the outside. Apparently they have new owners, so I would expect more upgrades as time goes on. So, how were the shakes? Delicious and made thick with plenty of fillings like my butterfingers shake. I was surprised that the best milk shakes in Lake Tahoe used soft serve ice cream instead of real ice cream. They were quite good but they started melting very fast and you could tell they had a high water content. It was a fun and refreshing stop at an iconic South Lake Tahoe restaurant.

When the girl working the counter is spending more time telling you what they’re out of and covering up over half of their menu options with paper and tape, you know something’s up. Either the business is in trouble or the person doing inventory is sheerly incompetent. Smoke from the kitchen filled up the restaurant while we were eating our food. The fries were terrible, the burgers paltry and bland, the ice cream non existent(they were out of ice cream…) It wasn’t really cheap either. This was easily the worst place we ate at in Tahoe over the course of our 7 days there, and I would never recommend it to anyone. We went down the street to Jack in the box and got better food, and nothing on their menu was out.
