Very comfortable clean room and it’s quaint. Getting here was like way off the main road but other than that enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was good the usual step above continental. Not really a fan of powdered eggs but it was OK they did have shredded cheese to top them, along with salsa.

We were on a road trip and found this place after consulting my trusty Unilocal app! After calling and checking rates and room availability, the clerk told us she would hold a room for us and was very professional and courteous on the phone. It was a speedy check in and though we could see cookies available for guests, we weren’t offered any. Oh well. The room was a decent size for my large brood and I love that there was a separation from the sofa bed area and the main sleeping area. An added bonus was that there were two TV’s! When travelling with kids in a room that doesn’t have a separate bedroom, you find yourself vying for the tv. Well Fairfield Inn & Suites thought about that and put an extra tv in the room. The room was clean and there were no indication aka odors or stains that indicated it was a pet friendly hotel. The clerk said that they really didn’t get a lot of travelers with pets and so no room could be designated as a pets only room. The hotel is located off the main road and was pretty quiet. There’s a Sonic, Five Guys, Bojangles and other restaurants within walking distance or a quick drive just across the road. I believe I also saw a Walmart in the adjacent shopping plaza as well. The breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh and it’s free! Check out my pics to see what they offer. We left full and satisfied and I especially love the hot waffles. We also used the indoor pool which was a bit chilly but it was clean and well appointed with necessary supplies, chairs, tables, towels, etc. There was small gym that was available as well. I believe this was my first time staying at this brand hotel and I would certainly stay here again. The only real negative is that the smoking bench is right next to the entry/exit doors! A couple was out there smoking and as we were coming in and out we kept getting a nice waft of second hand smoke. But overall, it was a great stay so, I’m a fan!

For the money, I was not pleased. I booked through after searching for hotels that allowed pets. This was one of 2 in the area. Turns out, they had a $ 75 pet fee. I’m a Silver Marriott member, and this hotel chain doesn’t give any credit for its awards members, unlike the Holiday Inn hotel chain(IHG). Since I booked on an external site, I couldn’t get a refund. Bummer. The check-in agent was really nice and apologetic. The lobby was being renovated when we arrived. This should have made me less pleased when we received a room super close to the lobby. The room itself was fine. Spacious and clean. Big problem– multiple large tears in the blackout shade. That defeats the purpose. The TV also defaulted to the wrong input, so when you turned it on you were on static instead of a real channel. This resulted in me going through the inputs, assuming it was on the wrong input. Not a huge deal, but still irritating. We were in a room next to the laundry, exit door, public bathrooms, and across from the stairwell. Horrible placement. The room was clearly an afterthought. It was really noisy from all the activity. The gym is good. 2 treadmills and an elliptical plus some free weights. They all awkwardly overlook the pool. Each machine has its own television, which is nice. Breakfast was decent. Selection of cereals, oatmeal, fruit, plus hot eggs and sausage. Pretty standard. I put all this info in the standard post-stay survey and got a reply from the manager, basically saying sorry, we’re remodeling, not addressing any of my other concerns. It’s walking distance to the Sonic if that’s important to you.

Our experiences here, over the last several years; we stay here twice a year, in the spring and the fall, to attend the races at Martinsville Speedway, have not changed all that much. Clean, efficiently ran operation. Friendly staff. Reasonably comfortable clean rooms. The soothing whirlpool and not exactly heated, heated pool, made evening relaxation enjoyable. Tried out the ‘free hot breakfast’ this stay(we changed our staying pattern to include a second day, which allowed us to be available for this feature) and while it is not fancy(after all, it is Hotel breakfast. Ever smell anything cooking? ???) it was passable enough. The XYL loves the MIY(Make it yourself) waffle(I never found any chicken…) iron, and she made short order of hers. All in all, there are a few hotels to choose from in the local area, and after having several of them, we have settled in with here. At check out, the desk lady told that they are going to be refurbished shortly, so in the fall, the place should have had a make over by then.

Had a very short stay(about 7 hours) at this location on a Thursday night. Arriving around 11:30pm, I was a little irked by the round-about way to get here from the interstate. The check-in was remarkably quick, which I did appreciate. I got to the room and settled in for the night. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Everything seems brand new. The internet was quick and easy to connect to. The breakfast in the morning was standard. Be sure not to miss the hot items that are kind of tucked away in a nook across from the rest of the food. Overall, the stay was exactly what I would expect from a Fairfield Inn. I would return.

Clean, quiet, the staff is professional, helpful and courteous. Rooms are nice. See the photos that are posted. Prices are competitive, and the hotel is a good value. Parking is more than adequate, and the location is a little off the beaten path so your not surrounded by anything. Kinda in the country. You will enjoy your stay.

I cringed when I found out I was going to have to spend a night this far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was expecting all of the hotels to be «trucker motels». I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is pretty much brand new. It’s right off of the I-85 freeway. The fitness center was nice, and it has a pool which I never got around to using. The room was cozy and welcoming. A very nice hotel for the area.
