Best Western

Not bad as a Hotwire deal, but I wouldn’t pay full price. We chose this place because it advertised a pool. When we arrived we found it was closed. Otherwise, the front desk staff was friendly, and the place is a little run down but clean. The exercise room is small with just a few pieces of antiquated equipment. The complimentary breakfast was better than some and included bacon, scrambled eggs and make your own waffles.

This hotel should be a 4 star, all but lacking room service. Staff is helpful, friendly and attentive.
Stayed here for 9 weeks off and on (4÷2015−8÷2015) while working in the area, never a problem with the room, noise, grounds.
Only con the pool is a bit tiny

Stayed here as my employer booked and paid for room. Room was nice… No bugs, etc. The problem was kids. Yes kids, running down the hall literally all night, slamming doors and yelling to each other. One actually knocked on my door at 2:00 AM looking for someone. A co– worker staying on another floor and at the opposite end of the building from me had the same problem. Apparently the hotel was booked for a wedding or something and the kids were unsupervised. The next time, I’ll have them book me at the Hampton Inn across the street.

Will we be back… not likely. Here’s why:
Pros:
1. Really close distance to various fast food joints, sit down restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets/​stores. Sonic, McDonalds, Cracker Barrel, Walmart, etc.
2. Rooms have a mini-​fridge. Not sure if every room does, so I would double check upon checking in.
3. Breakfast was delicious. They have a really nice spread of hot and cold foods. Biscuits with gravy, scrambled eggs (which were DELICIOUS), bacon, and sausage in the hot food buffet bar. They also have a belgian waffle maker. Various cereals, oatmeals, breads, yogurts, and fruits if not interested in hot breakfast.
4. Tea and coffee is available all day for free.
5. Bed was very comfortable.
6. Our…4^th bathroom was clean. Yes I did say 4^th. Let me explain.
Cons:
1. My parents had to change the room four times because the first three were filthy. I mean that’s just ridiculous. There was hair (a lot of hair) on the bed sheets in the first three rooms they gave us keys to. One room didn’t even have the beds made and had used towels on the floor in the bathroom. That’s nasty as hell. So fyi, pull back the comforters and check the sheets before laying on them, because otherwise, you’ll be in for one hell of a nasty ass surprise.
2. The rooms are small. Not much space between beds, furniture, and walls. Sucks if you’re claustrophobic.
3. When you turned on the heater in our 4^th room, it smelled like burnt smoke. We had to open up the window because it stank up the whole room.
4. Smoke detectors were covered in the 4^th room. That’s such a fire hazard and illegal? We didn’t notice if this was the case in the other 3 rooms because we hadn’t got past the beds…
5. When we spoke to the manager upon checking out about the rooms situation, all he offered us was a discount on our next stay there. I would come back for the food but not to room there.

We have just driven 400 miles to our pre-​booked 3 star hotel. We have mildew in our showers, actual dead bugs on the floor, and a front desk person who seems to not care even the slightest. Our other option was a smoking room that was even dirtier. This is 1 star at best. See pics for actual proof.

Arrived Friday night at 9PM and they sold my room to a higher paying customer! Bought my reservation thru Orbitz and the hotel said that if they can rent the room to someone who is willing to pay a higher price, then they take the money and send me to a Quality Inn — barely a 2 star hotel. How lousy is that!
Is a few bucks worth losing a repeat customer? And the front desk manager lied to us when she said that they also owned the Quality Inn and another property…
