We’ve been here several times and the food is consistently good They have a pretty good selection of microbrews and bottled beer. We did encounter slow service once, but it is generally good.

Ive been here twice now since the fire and rebuild. The atmosphere is real nice, and has a view of the river. The food I’ve tried has been good. I’ve had the Rueben and the Fish and Chips. Good selection of beers on tap. You can tell from my other reviews, this is important. The only real negative on this place is the service. Its slow, and I’ve heard it from other patrons. So, if your not in a hurry, give it a try.

Service — poor, not rude but not attentive or professional. Yes i know its just a joint — but if it charged joint prices I’d understand. Food — adequate — stuffed shrimp was acceptable/mashed potatoes cold Environment — nice view but nothing to look at once its dark outside. So unless you’re eating before 6 in the fall/winter you’re not going to enjoy the location on the river. Value — overpriced for the type of food served(fish and chips is 30 percent more than local standard prices — and its not even Haddock — its Cod. When you make it clear to your server that you want your dinner check — you shouldn’t have to wait real long for the server to take your check. We did.

I was quickly seated and had my order taken. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My food came fairly quickly. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. Food quality was mediocre. Slightly stale bun with the burger more done than I asked. Decent taste though. The staff was helpful and available. You could tell that they cared.

If I could give no stars I would. I would avoid this place if you truly value taste, service, and justified food prices. To start with, the building happens to be an updated version of the old, which had burnt down. The atmosphere was lacking a warmth welcome, the service was terrible, and the most important part; the food was tasteless and terrible as well. I ordered fish and chips, which normally costs around $ 10 max at average places. The plate here cost me $ 16+Tax. The fish was absolutely void of flavorful taste and had a frozen fish taste to it. My father had ordered a $ 10 clam chowder, which I had tasted. It had no flavor and was more soupy than creamy and thick. All in all the price of the plate was not justified by the culinary skills lacking in the kitchen. The server was nice and respectful but had to be told repeatedly to bring certain condiments out to the table. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view of the river and an updated facility.

Good food, nice location. It’s the only place to grab a drink and dinner on the river after boating all day.
