Summit View Banquet & Meeting House

This was my second time coming here for a banquet. Just as in the first time, the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this for a group of 100 or so. Great place.

Have been a fan of Summit View for a few years now, mostly the outdoor concert series. Well, last year they started Theme night Thursday. Went at least 6 times, always a great feed. This year is Thursday night steak night, this week will make 6 weeks in a row for me. Hard to find a nice prime rib, so I found one, and will be there every Thursday until it stops, thanks Mike, and all your staff for putting up with the crew I bring in. Kurt,

We started hearing ads on the radio for «$ 10.00 Thursday Night Steak Night» at Summit View, and being the frugal, steak-​loving people that we are, we decided to check it out. It starts at 4:30 p.m. We arrived at about 4:45, and we were the only ones there, but that quickly changed. We were greeted at the door by the owner and had a wonderful served named Anthony. There is no draft beer (a huge deal for us), but we were able to find adequacy in a bottle of Sam Adams Boston Lager. Our 10 oz sirloins came with huge portions of peppers/​onions/​mushrooms, and sides of roasted vegetables and potatoes. You could also buy a side salad for $ 2.00, which my husband did, and it was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly, everything was great.
So, we went again the next week. This time we had a different server who may have been extremely new to the job. Many mistakes and inappropriate things, but we still had a good time. This time, in order to get the peppers/​onions/​mushrooms or demiglaze or cajun seasoning, you had to pay an upcharge. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly, but mine was well done instead of medium-​rare. So, we were not as enamored as we were the first time, but we will probably go again because you can’t beat the price, and we’ll hope for Anthony as a server again.
I should mention that there are other choices besides steak for $ 10.00, i.e., fish, vegetarian, etc., and also a $ 5.00 child’s option.
Oh yeah, the second time when the servers came out with the trays of dinner plates, the plates were covered with those big plastic covers, which sort of reminds me of hospital/​nursing home food, and also makes you feel that your plates have been sitting around while they’re trying to keep them warm. No big deal, just an observation.

Contacted the folks here for a memorial luncheon.
Very easy to work with.
Variety of menu choices and they were willing to mix/​sub items.
Food was very well received with many compliments.
Service/​staff were also very attentive.
Location on Rt 5, very convenient.

This is an excellent venue for any private function; we have used it many times for birthday parties, showers, graduations. The catering menu has everything one could possibly think of, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will work with you. Prices are very reasonable, and the room is very large and comfortable. Check their website for events, they have concerts and other fun things all summer long!
